Your channel provides tremendous value Elif - if you never created another video there would still be so much treasure for marketing professionals to glean, but I hope you still continue to! Thank you!

Thank you!! Appreciate this comment so much! ❤️ Exactly my goal - to build a full library of resources for marketers - which I wish existed when I was trying to figure things out :)
      New season starts this fall!

Love this reflection, Elif. I had an opportunity to "ride the wave" recently and definitely didn't take advantage, but am okay with that too. I think it's fine as well to just have slow and steady growth and not "blow up" -- everyone creates for different reasons and knowing your why is what's most important. If you've helped a couple students along the way as you clearly have, I'd say you've been successful in helping someone else out there.

Thank you Will, appreciate your comment so much ❤️ and really agree your stance. We all create with different purposes and have different factors influencing how we manage our content.
The impact I was able to make makes all the effort worth it!

I have subscribed just to watch you speak about anything and everything.

The key not many people understand is blowing up in subscriptions does not mean financial success. You can make tenfold with a smaller channel, it’s all about positioning and what services you come up with and with what average check.
Your channel is my favorite, because it’s not for absolute beginners. There’s a lot of bs SM accounts and none have caught my attentions this much.

As one of your old subscribers, I cannot agree more the things you pointed out. Literally, everything I thought about your channel, you summarized all. However, again as you mentioned, I am still here because I am curious about your journey!

Thank you Esra - having you here means a lot!

I mean honestly your channel is pretty niche so I’d imagine that you’d be drawing a certain audience. Not a huge abundance of marketers around so if you wanted to blow up you’d have to gear your content to things that are popular and trendy. Nothing wrong with that either but I think your videos are really well done already!
Maybe if you wanted to cast a wider net for marketing then I’d suggest targeting an audience of college students who are studying business or marketing. When I was deciding on whether I should pursue marketing as a career I looked to your videos often on guidance and they answered a lot of my questions and helped me make the decision to pursue marketing. Just a thought but thank you for all your hard work and great videos !

You're so right at point 1. I (Manpreet) have 3 channels. And all of them have been 'successful' but never really took off. And I fully blame having a separate focus from RUclips. With a backup plan or job, you really can't grow RUclips as much as you would like to.

    •  Год назад +1

It's quite a lot to handle a 'day job' and RUclips. Is it impossible? No. But it is a challenge for sure! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks for the retrospection. In terms of riding the wave, didn’t you do this marketing and careers content? One of those types of videos did really well and you did a number of similar content around it

    •  Год назад

yes, you're right! but I was only partially able to do it for the marketing campaign video (if i recall correctly). Not the DITL one which was the main boom for the channel :)

38,500 subscriber are not nothing its very much.
But: I think it got alot to do with the light in your videos, your background has alot of shadow so it does look way less appealing. Imagine your videos more like a newsroom.
    Love,
    Emi

Absolutely- it’s a lot! I cant event imagine how big of a space we’d need for that many people and it’s wild. 🤯😱🤩 But that “blow up” moment is another level - you know what I mean :)
Interesting- thank you for the note! I’m in the process of making changes to my room so hopefully I can figure out the lighting/background setup to be more aesthetic.

If your channel did blow up would you have quit your job and do youtube full-time?

    •  Год назад +1

Potentially but it wouldn’t be to only create video content - there would be other components around the business.
