Hi Friend, I have been working with the new rig model (with the steel part)... Let me tell you : I work on cliffs with very dirty ropes (rock dust from drilling). The first model of the rig was worn in only 6 months of use (holes on the alloy parts)... We told petzl that it was necessary to add reinforcement parts because of that. Few years later, a new Rig model arrives... Now in the same working conditions it is totally worn after only 4 months WTF !!! Now that they added those f**kin features, the wear happens on the inside parts. I sent an email to Petzl with photos to ask what they think about it. Petzl's answer is : normal wear, bad conditions of use. Thank you Petzl for not testing correctly your gear, thank you for making more and more expensive shit that lasts less and less ! Cheers
