This is Steve, a 3.9 GPA/519 MCAT superstar who applied in 2018, topping the metaphorical medical school leader boards. He had top 10 medical schools begging for him to come. At the end of it all, he ends up earning a FULL RIDE scholarship (yes, the medical school PAYS him to learn) to an elite, Top 10 medical school in the nation. This application is arguably one of the most competitive ones in the entire 50,000 premed pool. We take a deep dive into the reality of what the best medical student applications look like. That's a great catch! It demonstrates how admissions is more complicated than "just get your shadowing and you'll be alright."
