If your air filter is too dirty, eventually engine oil can be sucked out of the cylinders. Can’t stop vacuum, until the rings destroy the cylinder altogether due to extended periods of low oil. Always do your maintenance and a daily oil level check.

My canister has a second smaller tube filter in it. I didn't see that on yours?
Probably a dumb question, but is it possible to add this to my Kohler engine on my zk61?

As a mechanic its painful to see how many people put the air canister covers on upside down, says top right on the thing...

I put a line on it with a orange paint marker. And the lawn jockeys still can't get it correct.
unless you're talking about a classic car with a 4 barrel carb, then you flip the air cleaner lid to impress your friends haha
