@allenpan almost made it to MythBusters but was rejected at the last round - and then later sued by them.
He's built a top channel showcasing crazy inventions like giving snakes robot legs - with a secret underlying message about capitalism hidden in them.
Join us as he talks about his time on TV, how he hitchhiked across the US dressed as Ash Ketchum, and why he values principles over money.

Omg this has been my favorite episode so far!! This podcast just gets better and better! Allen pan is such a fantastic storyteller and his life is so insane.
Also love that moment where Eric and Allen say the sufficiently advanced quote together 😂😂 so cute! That was a bestie moment
1:15:34 for the timestamp on that quote if interested 😉
And yes - it just gets better as it goes on - Allen is *so* good - thanks for watching!!
I always thought he was bitten by a radioactive snake
Allen Pan has the perfect blend of fun, god-like intelligence, crazy energy. I wish he would release more videos.
Allen's life story up really resonates with me and I think many young adults. From pivotting careers that are unfufilling, to loathing bureacracy and the facade built on lies by large organisations
It's interesting to hear Allen conversing with someone who's not one of his science RUclipsr friends. The flow and dynamic are just different, not bad, but just different. The topics are also different, and it's interesting to hear Allen talking not with his crackhead engineer brain.
I'm also willing to bet that his wardrobe consisted of him saying "Fu--, this is gonna be a professional podcast, not the dumpster fire of Safety Third. I need to wear something nice." And all he could find was the shirt with a stain on the front.
Please never change, Allen. Keep doing you
Very thoughtful analysis and think you’re exactly right!
I LOVE these chaotic good stories or clever comebacks. I hope we can see more of that from him.
Thanks for watching! We did a pod w NileRed too 😉
hey, just watched the nilered episode and now allen pan. great interviews so far. keep it up. I always hate podcast when they talk about their inner jokes and talk over the guess. so I love this
Awww thanks for watching! Any creator you’d like to see next?
this is awesome great work man
This was nice. Now I’ll have to go watch that mosquito video
I watched with enthusiasm, MythBusters: The Search, and I was impressed with Allen's ideas and abilities on the show and was definitely disappointed when he was eliminated. However, now that I know his story from "behind the scenes" and just about his life in general, I must say I'm EXTREMELY impressed with his ideas and abilities now!
29:38 such a great quote
These are some whacky stories! Allen is such a funny guy.
Cool video! Kudos to the interviewer, it's well made, i got a chance to know how hard is it.
It's easy to compare yourself with internet people such as Allen but yeah, it's funny to hear from him similar thinking schemes that i am going through or i gone through in my life. It's just a guess on my side and it might be biased by this comparing thing, but i would guess that brain damage of Allen choice is ADHD, just wondering if thinking scheme is similar because of that lmao
I love your content!
thank you!!!
Big up for audio redundancy 🎉 I had to double take on the audio cable nests around the microphone boom 😂
Oh yea I’ve had too many pods with busted audio - at this I’ve learned to be careful haha
My first pod was w Shelby Church and we couldn’t post because lost audio :(
Goddamn as if Allen Pan couldn’t get any hotter.
Also… The Trixie - Allen crossover amg I have a mighty need
I agree that MOST people would act normally in Westworld, but its not for MOST people, its for the rich. And a majority of rich people absolutely would act terribly imo. Most rich people don't even treat real humans with any empathy, thats how they got rich.
That was fantastic
God I love Allen
Shoutout to Ursula LeGuinn!!
Jesus Christ you are a fantastic interviewer
Awww thank you- trying my best!
@@trykarat its how genuinely you listen and respond. Also you must do insane amounts of research but you make it come off very natural. Gained a sub for sure
Yep. It is rare nowadays to let the interviewee speak. And the interviewer doesn't just move on to the next question immediately but asks follow on questions or comments on what was said. Excellent interview indeed
Damn, did't know allen was such a socialist icon, i just became a huge fan
Funny things do go brrrrrrrr
Money is NEVER what people want. It's what money can get you.
I've gained so much respect for Allen with this interview.
Who knew the barrel of monkeys got so deep
🐒
Why aren't you guys holding your mics like normal people? :p
I respect Alan Pan so much over the years. I would marry him in half a heartbeat.
sometimes I forget Alan is really smart in between all the stupid stuff he says
I mean come on Allen, you did the shirts because CNN stole your video, which, fair, but you didn't sell Mythbusters merch, you sold Mythbusters merch that had an anthropomorphic walrus Jamie ejaculating on them. That's what probably poked Warner Media the most.
