Steve Jobs once said, Apple is a software company, a company that loves so much it’s software that it wants to make it’s own hardware. For me Craig Federighi would be the most interesting and innovative choice to be next ceo.
Craig is the frontrunner in my opinion. Apple 's biggest strength is not necessarily its products or its services - it's their ability to present and market them in a way that makes them seem indispensable. Craig is the only one with the ability to present the products in a way that will continue that trend.
apples biggest strength is definitely its products and services. No marketing can deceive people who have been using the products themselves for years. There are also tons of independent reviewers who acknowledge the consistent quality of apple products.
@@nickbobronnikov7213People wanna look for any excuse they can to bring down the greatest, how can billions be fooled into buying something? Why? Because its reality.
@qtsssim no? The chip shortage made it difficult for Apple to have all of their new iPhones with the new chip. It also makes it more enticing to buy the pro model because of this
A CEO nowadays has become the face of the company. They represent the company to the outside world. Gone are the days where nobody knows who’s in charge of a popular company. I believe in Craig. Whoever they choose, I hope they have the charisma and the vision to represent and push company forward.
Since I was a teenager, I always wanted Craig to be the next CEO. I mean look at him. He has a very unique appeal to the audience and that's not easy to break especially for what he already established over the past years. The audience loves him for a reason.
I like Craig. He can lead Apple to next era. He has passion. Great communicator, loved by many Apple fan, and relatively young. What can we ask for more?
Steve Jobs was such an inspiring guy. I regularly watch his iPhone introduction which was delivered so geniusely back then and also his Standford graduation speech which is very motivating.
Consumer electronics are peaking, it’s getting harder to sell more iPhones, harder to make them more interesting - the last ‘amazing’ innovations were back with the iPhone 5. That’s the last time I was amazed, and surprised at the technology. Ever since then, it’s just been micro-iterations that need to be explained to consumers, on why they should be amazed. Yes, the technology has vastly improved, but that doesn’t make them amazing, or innovative. Come on, a major selling point of this years iPhones is the “Dynamic Island”? lol Really? That’s ridiculous marketing fluff, to make the camera notch less noticeable, because we have t figured out how to hide the camera under the display yet. With a global multi-year economic downturn, major war on the horizon - leading to further supply chain problems, I’d say the best person is someone the people like, AND can help weather slowing sales, and profit declines. Tim Cook’s logistics prowess help catapult apple under Steve Jobs. Since taking over, Tim plays it safe, doesn’t change designs much, and just keeps making money. While making money is great, any fan of Apple products from a decade ago I’m sure would agree, there’s no more ‘magic’. We lost that with Steve Jobs. He was a showman we were excited to see on stage. Tim Cook? No stage presence whatsoever. A cold and calculating, logistics, genius who makes a lot of money for apple. Who else are we happy to see on stage? The Commander-In-Hair, Hair Force One himself, Craig Frederighi. Plus, as you said, seeing him on stage DOES make me think of the good exciting days of apple innovation. It’s nostalgia. Which is nice to have, as the world is crumbling around us.
Main reason I think it’ll end up being Craig… or at very least that he’ll end up very high up under the next CEO is that they’ve started pushing him as the face of the keynotes. The intro to the WWDC focused on him as leader, almost like a soft launch of the Federighi era.
For stocks reasons included I think Craig is a good choice. Here’s why. Steve Jobs wasn’t a mastermind behind everything. He was incredible puzzle player, and I think Craig would be a really good puzzle player too. Especially since he runs software engineering for both the main products Apple offers. From a stocks standpoint, sure Jeff or Joz would be an outstanding choice, but I think Craig is better: let me explain. Craig obviously holds a huge fandom, as stated in the video, people LOVE Craig. His charm is that (almost, if not equal or better) of Steve Jobs, he’s funny and really sells the features WITHOUT SEEMING LIKE HES READING FROM A SCRIPT. And he sells better than any current executive does, he makes things sound WAY more exciting than even their marketing executives. Shareholders would KNOW the community loves their new CEO, Craig. And that’s what will help push Apple into the next 3 centuries. Him being meme worthy is great, because he’s not necessarily a meme, he makes himself a meme, and in a very cool way, cause he’s a pretty cool dude. And besides, the new-generation of kids will really click with a meme-ed up and down with the times typa CEO, and that’s for real. Stocks would be great too, because the more us fanboys like the CEO, the more they like the products, and trust them. And they know that. I think it’s almost setup by Apple to make craig the next CEO, even tho I do believe others have a better chance theoretically. (But Craig would be fineeee, he’s passionate and would direct everyone in the right direction and they would do their jobs as usual, and Craig would still oversee software development regardless, just as Steve did.)
Apple's next CEO would be Jeff Williams for sure. People have no idea how important the head of operations ,supply chain, logistics is given the volume of trade that apple does.
Checking in in 2024. I have to say, for me its gotta be John T. The man has been behind so manyof Apple's latest innovations. He's younger and has an aura of know-how and expertise. He's my top pick for sure.
Looking at all those industry giants and how they ran corporations like Apple as well as their contributions to the Smartphone industry, I find it impressive and inspiring to rise to a grandier levels of technology.
Apple, and the world hasn’t been the same since 2011. Sure we’ve made improvements but I know if Steve was still around it would be better. I wish Steve could see the amazing cameras and display quality on the iPhone 14 Pro.
I don’t think I’d ever want to be a CEO, considering the enormous pressure and responsibility they succumb to. I’d be happy being a standard executive. They still get paid in the 6 digits, or probably more in Apple’s case.
I am not that knowledgable about Apple, but it seems to me like many of the candidates have deep experience only within their own fields. I thought it was part of succession planning to groom potential leaders with expertise and experience across multiple areas in the company, and create a pipeline of multiple suitable candidates?
I would say Jeff Williams would probably the next in line, and in my opinion the best one, I do like Craig though very knowledgable guy. I would like and I think a lot of people would to, it would be nice to have a product guy on board.
Tim has done a great job and removed any doubts that Apple without Jobs is not possible. But the company is getting stale under Cook. He should step down now and get a product focused person as CEO.
The next CEO of Apple should have clear understanding of keeping things simple, holding onto original company basics, and young enough to stay a long course of stability.
“At least from a financial perspective” I get your point, but Tim Cook has taken Apple to where Steve imagined it would go. Steve laid the groundwork, and Tim has taken the pass absolutely perfectly. I don’t think anyone could have done better, not even Steve. That being said, Craig is probably who everyone imagines as the next CEO
