When you are drilling into the sides of a piece, either with the drill head or the router, I notice that after each drill, the head comes up, then down again to do the next drill. Is that because you programmed it like that, or does it HAVE to be like that? With other machines I have used, they can go from one drill to the next without having to go up and down each time, saving a lot of time.
This is pretty common with homag. If you program the drill directly in woodwop it will not do this. If you're programming in a cam program like alphacam and you have a safe rapid level other than zero entered in your drilling function it will retract the way you see it, if its zero it will drill as you're describing.
Very impressive work by the way, well done!
