Just got a 27" 144hz 1440p gaming monitor, and this made me appreciate it a lot more

How can we check the monitor..I mean how shall I know is there any app or website that tells how good is the monitor?
Whenever someone is hogging the internet usage upstairs(making my lag spike), I always play this on loop at max quality.

@@brlvper4 damn bro are you alright, i had bad internet before it was 45 mbps download and even that was really annoying, i highly reccomend you upgrade to get fiber optics if youre able its a huge difference for a good price my download speed is 380 mbps now
@@NinjaAirattac it's funny cause to me 45 mbps is crazy fast, but that's cause for several years my download speed was like 200 kbps you read that right, KILOBYTES

@@tndrck Super slow internet can cause the video to render slowly, so switching it to a lower resolution can make it render faster.

My phone has a 2160x1080 screen, but my internet says you’re getting 1080p, that is all.

I have a 32-inch 1080p monitor at 60hz and just got another monitor 32-inch monitor that is 1440p at 165hz. I played this video on both screens at the same time and can definitely notice a difference. It was not as dramatic as I thought, but 1440 vs 1080 is clearer. Some of the detail is lost in 1080 (fuzzier). The big difference seems to be between 144hz/165hz and 60hz. Higher hertz is going to look and feel a lot smoother especially when playing games and other applications. Static images on 1440 vs 1080 are marginally better and it really depends more on the quality of the monitor's image as opposed to the resolution.
i upgraded from a shitty samsung 21" monitor at 60 hz to an ASUS TUF 27" 180 hz, this model just came out this month its beautiful. i almost forgot to change the hertz settings in display settings advanced options

@@kingsg5195 The company decided to stop making PC monitors, but the monitors they did make were very excellent, and somehow newegg got a whole shipment of them, refurbished slightly, and were selling them for prices like that, and cheaper. It was a gold rush.

+jack black If it is filmed on an action camera, it's not true 1440p. It's a 1080 video filmed in a 4:3 aspect ratio, upscaled to 1440p

@@oli.2844 Depends which browser you use. Safari on a Mac doesnt support it, try chrome, firefox etc. Hope this helps.

Just bought my 27" IPS 1440p 144Hz Philips monitor as well. Can't believe what I was missing for so long. Even Windows fonts finally became clear! When Windows 10 introduced, they disabled the "Cleartype" in many parts of the new system. They turnt to "Grayscale" but that required high resolution or high PPI (mobile phones). It made me mad a bit and was forced to bring sharpness down from 60 to 40 in order to avoid this problem but then I got another problem, slight blurriness. Now, everything is perfect. Guess what, though. I bet you guys who bought the same characteristics monitors 5-7 years ago, you paid an arm and a leg. I paid 170€ only in an incredible sale! hehe!

Same, just got a OPTIX G273Q 27 inch, 165hz, 1440, 1ms, and you're right it does look great, not a huge difference from 60hz, 1080p but still something :D

@@andrefelder4902 no… I see a definite difference in the screens, especially the panel type… the TN panel has way worse colors than the IPS panel. That’s the most notable thing. The graphics honestly aren’t that noticeable, when I pull up a 1440p picture on both screens they both looks great, again color is different, however the “pixels” don’t make it THAT much clearer, I can see there are more with the 1440p, however it doesn’t seem to make the picture look much better. It’s definitely an improvement and I’d always like a 1440 over a 1080, but it’s not a big let down to have 1080 if I’m being honest. I just can’t see how the image quality is visibly better. HOWEVER, the refresh rate of 60hz vs 165hz is very significant, one video in particular I could see where one clip was flickering and looked terrible on the 60 hz screen where as the 165 screen was clear and crisp. So it’s definitely an improvement! Also, the font, webpage sizing, UI size among other things does change but I wouldn’t say this is an “improvement” as often it seems to make things smaller than would be ideal (the 1080 is easier to see these things on) but it’s pros and cons. However, I’m just being honest that the 1440p is probably the least noticeable part, the refresh rate and the panel type on the other hand is.
so something really weird happened.... i have this old dell monitor thats pretty good and its 1080p 60hz but just recently its saying it supports 1440p and im so confused because I cant find somewhere that says it doesnt sopport 1440p except for the webpage of the monitor...

1440p is perfect for a computer display. Mine is 27 inches and I'd be hard pressed to see the difference between 1440p and 4k on a screen this size.

Just got new Wi-Fi in my Speedtest said I could run 1440 P so I had to test it out and it works
My laptop lagged abit at the start and the ending bits but during the video it ran smoothly
