AI
The same fear permeates the minds of fellow interpreters and translators, that they may (eventually) be replaced with AI tools everywhere. I believe AI is not quite there yet, as the human/cultural and subjective aspects are a important in some contexts. But plans C to Z are to be studied, though.
Yes, I think there are many nuances that AI can't replicate, at least for now. AI, in the end, isn't human. It's human-like. AI can help us create exercises and correct sentences. AI can be a chat bot, but genuine interaction with another human being who has personal experiences to draw from is super valuable. You can laugh and cry with a bot like you can with a human. AI doesn't fully understand human psychology as it plays out in our responses and exchanges.
Hi teacher how are you?
Good! And you?
