Just Vlad not to Jam my opinion down your throat, but you need to stop wasting your money on these units. Sharks are not meant to be used commercial. Only commercial grade vacuums should be used commercially and or in a home.
Thank you I stop video n txt. My responses I watched entirety of your video now an so I appreciate your offer to send replacement parts super nice thank you for your how- to DIY. Problem solving issues ..i work/ learning at with small engine s repairs an I'm real good at taking things apart . thank you for sharing ur creativity an improvise ideas u make it look easy ..
I think it’s great that you found a way to fix the problem. You cannot fault Shark because they clearly state the vacuums are meant for household use. Obviously you are using them way more and you admit you “abuse” them. I know you stated that most people won’t have this issue but for those who didn’t watch it through to the end they may choose not to buy now. It’s also great you offered to print and send replacements for free but this might end up costing you in the long run. They are great vacuums!
Question: Why are your vacuums so scratched up on the sides? I’ve been vacuuming practically since I could walk and talk, and I’ve never beat up any vacuum that much. I get normal wear and tear - but your vacuums look like you were scraping against a cement wall. With all that said - I do commend you on your ingenuity and “McGyver” skills. I received my Apex Zero M today.
Great video. I just bought an Apex Zero-M. I missed your video until now. I won’t be as rough on my wheels I don’t think but who knows. Honestly, I think you should sell maybe a bag of ten or so. Filament costs your time and effort as it’s not your main business. Once you determine if the white or gray is the better one, you got a side business. Thanks again for the head up on what to look out for. Most of the reviews are good for this vacuum so I think I’ll be happy. My old Hoover just gave up so I used a bunch of BB&B gift cards and essentially paid a little over a hundred for it. Clean home here I come!
Great informative review. Initially disappointed with option for replacing wheels since I have not a clue about 3D imaging, copying, etc... but like in true form you, my new Superhero, has come to the rescue. Consider me a customer for your awesome replacement wheels. Its probably easier to deal with you than S hark.
That darn hose is too short and stiff which causes it to topple so easy... The dusting attachment causes so much suction resistance, which makes the hose incredibly stiff. You will struggle trying to use the dust attachment above your head(I switch to thick carpet setting to make suction a tad more tolerable). I feel Dyson perfected the hose attachments and ease of use. So if you have stairs and/or like to use the attachments more often, then I would recommend Dyson. The Shark got some impressive sucking power. I dont think its too heavy of a unit. Own a Kirby or Rainbow then you'll know heavy. I don't have any stairs so this unit works just fine for me with my pets. The fact that Vlad and Vacuum Wars uses the Shark for a business says a lot too me about this vacuum.
This is awesome man, thanks so much! If it wasn't an issue or anything with shark (coz they obviously don't handle the problem) you could totally sell wheels for a small fee coz your materials and all. Anyway, thanks for the video, these are good to know!
Same here. I bought this vacuum for my cleaning business and at first it was the best vacuum I ever purchased. A month later the wheels broke. Couldn’t figure out what the awful dragging sound was and it was scratching hardwoods so bad! I exchanged that vacuum 5 times in 6 months because of the wheels. Got sick of it and moved on from shark. It’s shame because it’s such a great vacuum!
I had wanted to buy this vacuum but now not sure. If I end up needing wheels if you can ship to Canada that would be great 😊 id need a great vacuum sealed system no spit out in the back and great hair removal from the brush roll. Zero m doesnt look like it would qualify.
How have these 3d printed wheels held up? Do they scratch hardwood as they don't have rubber on them? Can u uploaded files to thingaverse so its available to download? Thanks. Good work.
You should get a Patten on making those wheels for any all kinds of vacuums so shark can't sue. Excellent idea so people can contact u an purchase wheels. ..i always seek out creative people to help cause I don't have one of those machines to make a replacement product now I know who to contact when the wheels on my future apex breaks ..
After a month of use, in your experience, do you feel that the Zero M has stronger suction than the original Apex? I did see that in a previous comments section you said that the Zero M did (a little bit or a lot?) better on carpet. I'm thinking that, since they both seemingly have the same motor, perhaps the Zero M is losing less suction because of 2 things: - Better interior chamber design (maybe better air flow? I don't know the aerodynamics) - Almost no hair tangling up the brushes so that the bristles remain more effective over time at agitating carpets Just a couple of thoughts, but I only have the original Apex and haven't personally compared. Clever wheel work-around btw, glad you figured something out. Thanks for all the updates!
What is the little bristles hanging out from the bottom of the head?? I thought it was a cleaning tool but can't find out how to get it released? The little black bristles that are sticking out the bottom of the zero m head
Where are the cad files or can I buy some from you. I just had mine fail and went through the roof when customer service informed me i have to buy a new floor nozzle ......They really dont want to keep customers do they. please let me know how i cant request the wheels and where i can buy them from you. Great vodep
Mine won't allow the front orange piece to roll and I have no idea why they sent me one wrong color for my vacuum I have Grey sent me sage green I called said they sent anther wrong color but happened to both of them too
Go to a vacuum shop and buy a Miele, Riccar, Sebo, or Maytag. They're going to last a lot longer than all these cheap big box junkies. I have a Miele and I've had it for 4 years and no problems. If I ever have an issue, the place I bought it from will stand behind it.
But if you look at the comparison test no other vacuum has the cleaning power of the Shark Apex Duoclean... So gimmicky or not, the shark does better at the task it's intended for. I had a Miele Canister vac from Costco and got the shark to compare... Returned the Miele right away, 200 less for the Shark and considerably better performance with no hair winding to worry about. Also, a 5 year warranty.
Thank u for sharing I'm interested in purchasing a shark but don't know anything. Pros/ cons just happen to scroll an see from another perspective you using a shark I know when u make a purchase we expect promises of perfect product to perform heavy duty job. Just listening about sharks guarantee of durability an quality of their vacuum on their commercials. From the CEO president himself an quarantee to repair/ fix it free. 5yr quarantee. Why have they not considered revising the wheels with a tougher - different - design steel wheels with polymor covering?? Or durable wheel made of a product that lasts an won't scuff hard wood floors ..im really interested in shark. Hav
You can't replace the belt for the orange roller in the front. Shark don't sell them. You have to buy the head for $89 and that warranty is 3 month for that.
Thats a huge and disappointing flaw. And the fact that you could damage hardwood floors if the wheel issue isnt fixed really sucks! Hopefully in the future a newer model will have this issue fixed.

@MrPittsburghJ - He's using it for his business, not normal household use. Other people have videos up showing their thoughts as well and they don't seem to be putting it through as much abuse as he is. I am considering getting the Zero M.
I just got the Zero M so I guess I will take this as a note to go easy on the wheels, but so far I'm incredibly impressed. The suction power is unmatched and the versatility is excellent. Dust bin is incredibly easy to empty. Zero M works as advertised; shark says you may notice small amounts of hair but not to worry about it as the scraper removes it as it accumulates. This is really an impressive piece of hardware with thoughtful engineering and a better price than anything close.
I just receive the Shark Apex zero m. It is a great sweeper, but I'm pissed my Shark Professional attachments don't work on it. I had an attachment I used all the time. I assumed that attachment would would work on this vacuum. It didn't. Disappointed.
Yeah it looks like to me that front end and even straight anymore look like one wheel that you put in with something sideways you guys are way too rough on those vacuum cleaners and you wonder why they break
"Shark, fix your wheels" "no" "Shark, can I at least buy a bag of wheels?" "no" "FUCK YOU SHARK, I'LL PRINT MY OWN!" hahaha love it. I gotta get me a 3D printer
I gotta easier solution. You will need to buy 2 things. 1. A 3D Printer 2. Dryson brand vacuum. After you get those 2 items, You return the 3D printer. And Voola you have a good vacuum.
Whoever is doing the vacuuming is not taking care. Look at all the scrapes! I wouldn't want that individual vacuuming my house. They have to be and scraping up baseboards and furniture.
Surprised they didn't tell him to use the bare floor attachment. Beater brush part is really only meant to be used on carpet or rugs. Bare floor attachment also does a better job in that role because there's a cloth that velcros on that works as a dry lint mop, and the beater brush tends to fail in picking up any fine dirt from a hard surface. (Not sure if Shark sells the spare lint cloths for the bare floor head, but easy to make from micro-fiber cleaning cloths if you have any basic sewing skills to attach the velcro tabs.) Not only that but the bare floor tool also has a lower profile making it better suited to kitchens, since it'll be able to go under the front edge of a fridge or stove. I'm guessing the main issue is that the rollers are banging over the grout on tiled floors and that's why they are wearing out super fast.
PS....I do hope that your employees are not taking these dirty vacuums from one destination into another one without cleaning them first!...Also you really should have cleaned these vacuums before you made this video because not doing so really reflects on you the owner and it really speaks volumes about how clean you are as a person!........good luck!......

Hey is it possible to buy the wheels you made from you?
How do we order those wheels?
@@Ca31_Buff in my wife's cleaning business, the commercial ones are shitty, too. These apex's are versatile and clean everywhere.
