That is an impressive airplane! Captain Hubert has done some clever engineering in both the mechanical and electrical parts of it. Big SALUTE! (NC/USA)
I always enjoy Hubert's visits to you hangar boys. He often times shows up with amazing aircraft !! This is the wonderful world of beautiful R/C planes...gotta love it ! Enjoy the day.
WOW, that's a really fantastic plane, Hubert always has such interesting planes and ideas! I've never seen an electric motor so big, cant wait to see the maiden flight. Capt Blaz is sniffing the engine like its a sausage....LOL
Hubert that is a great solution to swap out the wet motor and 10s power system. What a fantastic looking XCub, looking forward to the maiden flights. Great one Robert, Blaz, and Hubert. Salute Jeff in LA USA
What a nice setup and Hubert so kind to bring gift for zee brothers. On my more expensive planes I always wire in a seperate BEC and battery to run the servos.. Main batteries only run the motors. In case of a motor or ESC failure I can still get the plane down. Thanks for the vido and showing us this beauty. Happy flying . Russ NC/USA
I've had a Saito FS-91s ran about ten times back in the 90's and back in it's box since then. Getting ready to mount it up on a vintage Ugly Stick I found locally.
Great little piece of engineering for the motor swap system. Good work! Can't wait to see that bird fly with the Saito Twin!! Saito is the best. Great video keep up the good work.
Wow! What a monster. Interchangeable engines high on the "cool factor". Genus! Hubert is the man tonight for sure. Cant wait see it fly! Love the "shop talk" Gents.
Pilot Robert and captain Blaz, the viewers of your channel suggest tot give captain Hubert promotion and from now we will call him Major Hubert. Major Hubert deserve this rank for his input in this channel. Major Hubert, I will be the first who congratulate you with your promotion. Please continue and we can't wait tot see the maiden flight. Greetings from the Netherlands.
What a great video! This beautiful and sexy Saito engine is running so smoothly. I like the change of the landing gear as this is now scale. The plane deserve it. The idea to change from gas to electric is brilliant! Thanks to all of you and I'm looking forward to the video of the maiden flight.
Captain Herbert this is a big awesome airplane you should be proud... Pilot Robert these size of planes are what you need to fly lol... Thank you Captain Blaz for being the engine doctor... And I give a great big salute to each and everyone of you from Virginia Beach USA... now cut quick
Fabulous! Great engineering solutions.. I like the little lego Corsair, I think even I could build that! 🤣Special thanks to Hubert for showing us this big bird. Big salute from London.
That is very smart and well made Hubert! The 61 cc fuel boxor engine is very cool and the sound certainly gives a kick :-) The electro version is just as beautiful and very clean. I hope we get to see the videos of both versions on air as well. Thanks friends!
Pilot Robert and Capt Blaz’ .Best of both worlds...Gas and Electric. That’s truly awesome. I wish your friend The best of luck on both maidens. 👍👍 way up! 😊🇺🇸
Very nice work & thanks for sharing! Interesting that the very first produced model airplane engine in the early 1930's ( Brown Junior 60) came mounted on wood skids along with the coil, condenser & gas tank. This way you could test run the engine & then slide the whole thing into the front of plane just like Hubert!
Beautiful job on the build Hubert. You should patten that motor switch idea there's money to be made there. Awesome idea Awesome guys. I love it. 👍👍💥💥💥👊✌
WOW! WOW! WOW! INCREDIBLE! CONGRATULATIONS TO HUBER! I love Pipers, but this one is AWESOME! Can't wait to see the Maiden! Thank you very much boys for the video! Regards, George
Wow!!! I can't believe how big it is. Both motors are amazing!!! I can't believe they swap out that easily. I can't wait for the Maiden. I hope you show both motor and compare.
Wow this is sick !!! 👌 and what an incredible solution set up like a power pod set up interchangable solution 😁 fantastic love the lights on it too can't wait to see that on the runway ❤️👍
Still waiting on my Eachine Corsair. An interesting fact about the WW2 Corsair is that the US Navy thought that the long nose made it impossible to fly from carriers. Some were given to the Royal Navy and as the Fleet Air Arm had been using long nosed Seafires for some time, they sorted it all out for the Corsairs.
Many pilots might be in the position to buy and put together such beautiful wings ... only loading it up with three tons of sympathy .. makes it the true joy to watch . have a good one chaps (-8D
Beautiful Cup with clever technical solutions - awesome! One worry I have, is about the four bolts for mounting the engine. It looks as if they clamp through the plywood and have no safety against coming loose?! Maybe a safety wire preventing them from coming loose due to vibrations would be appropriate? The other four bolts, that are mounted into the extenders, I guess are secured with Loctite or a similar product ...? Wishing you happy flights and safe landings!
@@HubertSalzmann Respekt! Clever gemacht!
Hey Capt Blaz, it just hit me. One cylinder hotter than the other could be a sign of tight valves in the hotter cyl. In race cars we use an infrared thermometer to check individual cylinder temps, if we know the mixture is right, its compression or valves. In your Saito, the intake is not that complex to cause an uneven fuel mix, one side to the other. The runners are not that long, unlike a Chrysler Cross Ram, (type in Chrysler Cross Ram Intake in your browser and be amazed) and since the carb is single barrel, the mixture should be the same. Anyway, I have 40 yrs experience as an automotive tech including racing, and about 3.5 min flying a control line biplane right into the tarmac, so there is that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 By the way both of you are great and I really enjoy your vids. Sincerely Blue Mule
Hubert got that idea from aircore i have one some years ago its like that you can swap the engine to other airframe by pulling the power unit the your ready to fly again.with different plane.
Many thanks for showing this to you all. Not only a very beautiful bird but also very interesting technical solutions.

Good point. I think about something for the main bolts. And yes, the motor mount ones are secured by Loctite

Plug and Play 👍
I ordered the pacer PA-20 10E 51" ARF from horizon hobby 3 months ago. WHEN its ready to be released, it gets pushed back, ANOTHER month.
(looks like this beautiful bird, but smaller)👍
I hope you get this plane soon
Hubert got that idea from aircore i have one some years ago its like that you can swap the engine to other airframe by pulling the power unit the your ready to fly again.with different plane.
Also check out the PMT tundra tires. I put them on mine.
Where can I get those??? 😍
