Hope you're doing well professor. I'm back here on the class material and 2306 material after the fact practicing necessary precautions with my amateur work in artificial intelligence. Locke's "tacit consent" is an interesting issue right now for me, and I'm reviewing material. Cheers!
I'm glad you are enjoying the videos . . . again. Locke discussed consent more than a little. I don't not discuss it much here, however. Still, I'm glad you enjoyed the videos.
First of all. It is so sad that you have so little views. You are very easy to hear and understand. Was Locke the first Empiricist to propose that there are no innate ideas, or did Francis Bacon propose this first?
Thank you for you answer. I completely agree with you that Classical philosophy deserves a lot more merit than it should. As I study it more (Classical Philosophy) I notice more and more "modern topics" being discussed. I'm currently studying a Masters in Philosophy (Ethics and Classical Political Theory), but I'm working on a project a little deviated from my emphasis. "Association of Ideas: Setting the Stage for the Linguistic Revolution" Great Video. Your video helped me a lot more than other videos I found on youtube. PS I do not find it surprising that Eastern and Western philosophy would have some parallels. From my expectation, my money is on finding many many parallels between them. Human Nature doesn't change much from geographic influences. Excuse my English. Second Language.
As a senior student stuck with trying to read and interpret Locke, I cannot thank you enough ❤️
I'm glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching and spread the word.
