I use Corvus and Morrigan in a primary team in the Grand Arena and have them at max star. I recently added Phobos and I also run Martha, as well as the new pet Axel. The 5th hero I change out based on the team I am fighting, and I might change out Phobos if I am fighting against a magic based team. The thing with Corvus is that you are attempting to evaluate him only on an individual level and only on stats. Corvus can't be taken by himself and evaluated, he has to be considered for his utility to a team in general. I have found the team to be very effective against many of the "Meta" teams on the server I play on for FB, and the team is not even maxed out yet. The biggest issue I take with this video is that you keep mentioning the altar as far as its position within the team. Just to clarify, unlike Martha's totem, Corvus's altar only takes damage when allies on your team take damage. The altar itself cannot take damage from attacks, so its position on the team doesn't matter. And the altar has enough health when you boost Corvus's health that it can survive many AoE attacks from the enemy team before it disappears. Usually my altar stays around long enough for Corvus to re-summon it and reset its health before the enemy team can get rid of it. The other thing you neglect to mention is the interaction with pets. If you combine Corvus with a pet like Oliver as his patron, and make the team pet Axel at a high level, Corvus becomes MUCH tankier. If anything his lower stats are a good thing because he takes more damage and therefore triggers his ultimate ability faster, not to mention that with Martha on the team she can boost the speed at which he brings out his altar. But at this point I don't even need Oliver as a pet because with Axel Corvus's survivability goes way up. Instead I patron him with Albus to increase his Pure damage for his totem ability, causing most enemy heroes to kill themselves when they attack because with Axel's bubble ability even a single target damage hero attacks the entire team and ends up taking a ton of Pure damage. I wish I could do more pet testing at max stats, but unfortunately you can't max test with pets on FB.
I mentioned the pets yesterday, I think he forget that all hero's on FB have to be balanced with pets in mind so good comment. I also think it's not a good idea to compare hero's cross platforms they are different games. Unless something is completely broken or bugged with skills or something, but the only thing discussed here was pure numbers but not having the complete story is dishonest before making a judgment.
Unfortunately Galahad does need another re-work. He's stuck in this bizarre place in between tank and damage dealer and doesn't do either particularly well. He'll always be my favorite hero and I'll always use him as my tank (first max power hero and all) but the developers need to either redo him and give him actual defensive abilities or return him to damage. It wouldn't be a hard fix either: if you keep him as a tank you could simply replace his blue ability with some form of protective move. If moved to damage he could be the physical version of Orion. Swap the blue ability for an energy gain and let him rapid fire his Iron Skies like Orion fires missiles.
@@obenwahkenobib8899 Yes but I'd use Sebastian and make Satori useless. But they have to do something for Galahad. He's the face of the game in many respects and he needs to have his role clearly defined. All they did was swap a couple glyphs and slap tank gear on him and call it a day.
He's an offensive tank so naturally you'd pair him with a quick killing physical team. He works in a team of Galahad, Jhu, Sebastian, Daredevil, and Dorian. That's a lot of physical buffs right there for the whole team.
His violet ability would effectively cripple Cleaver's Anti-Martha properties, wouldn't it? Can't think of much other uses this might have, if you don't pair him up with Aurora or an own Cleaver. Seems a bit like a waste for a violet ability...
Biggest takeaway from this video for me is he's the Krista of the duo. Meant for synergy with Morrigan but she comes off as the one that doesn't need the other. His green skill helps himself, Morrigan (or Momo to his Coco), and her little minions, and now Phobos as well.
Who does Morrigan heal, if not Corvus? She only heals the Undead. Corvus takes more damage, and deals more damage than Morrigan, on a consistent basis, when they are teamed.
Nothing can be set in stone until Corvus has all 4 skins, if he gets 1 armor, 1 health, and 1 magic defense skin he'll hit top 3 to 5 in all tank categories.
Or Corvus, Morrigan, Nebula, Sebastian and Martha. I was shocked how well that team fared. No need for other undead heroes like Phobos but if you want to run Phobos on that team. Corvus, Judge, Morrigan, Nebula and Phobos. Not as good as the previously mentioned team but not bad. On both teams Albus as team pet and patroned to Corvus.
I agree Charlie unless they either do a reworked version of Corvus, or getting him some type of skin to strengthen his skill or increase his health on Facebook or web, there is no use in investing in him.
Wow, you are so wrong! OK, Corvus needs to be teamed with Morrigan, but they really protect the rest of the team. It almost sounds like you're just going by stats, and have never used Corvus IRL? What you miss is that Corvus and Morrigan take the vast majority of all damage directed at the team, and Corvus has Physical Attack stats that rival Galahad. I managed to get a 5-star Corvus and Morrigan pair during their FB introduction event. I use them with Keira, Nebula and Helios, as a Yasmine team killer. On my server, Yasmine teams are all over Arena, and usually are one of the three teams you face in GA. Even without Keira being undead, my Corvus team beats a ton of higher level Yasmine teams. I've seen the damage reports, and Corvus and Morrigan take almost all the damage, and Keira, Nebula and Helios typically take a minimal amount. With much stronger opponents, either Helios or Corvus end up dead, but the team wins. If memory serves, the altar is at the back on FB, not the center. People talk about Jorgen being the counter to Galahad, but Corvus and Morrigan also do an amazing job. ODH, while not a popular META on my server (46), are a reliable counter to most C/M combinations. I think you may need to do some max testing with Corvus and Morrigan, on Facebook.
On mobile...I don't consider his royal defense skill worth investing in...like you, I couldn't think of a situation where it would be worth spending the gold on that skill as opposed to skills on another hero, that would be far more beneficial...there are a few skills like that on some of the heroes on Mobile...
Been using him on mobile and its going great. Running an undead blender. The team is fast enough it's okay he isn't as sturdy, and Morrigan's buffs do a lot for keeping him around. He usually does a surprising amount of damage too.
In my opinion Corvus is a healthy warrior and not a tank. The defense he provides is attacking the opponents using the totem. Anyway, he's OK and is a very funny hero to use.
I am only on mobile, where the alter has actually improved my keira blender team, but he has very low survivability and I have to agree he needs defence skins, preferably magic defence, to make him more competitive against the big teams (400k+)
The role of Corvus is not to be the best tank but to be a support for Morrigan and his skeletons. You should try Corvus Ishmael Morrigan Sebastian Fox, it's a pretty good team on Facebook!
Even tho I just started with HeroWars this month, I didn’t liked Corvus a lot. Also 90% of my teammates use him in guildwars ( typically together with Astaroth) . So yeah most replays I watched from our GW is Corvus/Asteroth vs Corvus/Asteroth ...it’s ridiculous.
I feel like you missed the mark on Corvus' green ability. It's a flat number, as a opposed to a percentage based on the allies' stats, which means it does A LOT to boost Morrigan's skeleton weenies. I guess we need to look at him the way we look at Krista in relation to Lars. Like people before me have said too, him NOT having any skins yet isn't doing him any favors as a tank. Every other tanks STRONGLY depends on specific skins for survivability.
Whenever I see Corvus, I try to finish it as soon as possible. Many pairs him with another tank, warrior or Andvari. What will happen when the Corvus becomes very powerful after getting 2-3 skin, maybe after months but not today
Dont play on Facebook. But with the options of 5 undead on mobile the undead teams can be seriously overpowered if corvus and Morigan have been starred up
No tanks is the worst. It depends on your team thats why there is a variety of tanks, as well as damage dealers. Maybe for your team they are bad, but there are other heroes which have good synergism with them too
Corvus just needs skins. (Three more skins being Health, Armor, and Magic Defense would be AMAZING!) Any new hero is going to kind of suck until they get 2nd or 3rd skins. And yes, I have won using Royal Defense with an ally Dorian against teams like Kiera-crit-hit teams. (But I am a mobile player, so yeah, now I know how much he sucks on FB. The mobile altar modifier is 2.5% health, which is why the damage is likely so much higher.)
Royal Defense doesn't help much, but when it does it's great - I won an Arena battle by Phobos being shifted the other day - I actually thought he'd died as he disappeared. Does the move debuff the hero being moved?
"Corvus doesn't have a shield" -- his shield is called Morrigan's minions. Corvus and Morrigan by each self are quite meh, they work wonders together. His pillar saves her, her minions save him. edit: You have to consider the minions. They are also undead. Dorian in the middle + minions = omg it won't stop. If you expect Corvus to be an undead Luther you will be very disappointed. I agree he is very weak by himself, but C+M is a great pair.
He's undead. His last skill must be some kind of resurrection or massive health regeneration. That last skill was useless if eneny team using AOE skill. Pls do a remake for this hero. BTW nice review charlie.
Nonsense....he don't have skins yet but already leave zero chanses to Arachne and Keira with his altar. Plus morrigan heal all undead like crazy. He definitely useful
Me: Yay! I've *finally* fully levelled up this hero, can't wait to use him properly! Charlie: This hero is terrible. Like, literally, the worst hero in the game in his position. Me: ...
I don't think he's the worst tank, among all of the tanks... His blue ability damage a lot to Yasmine, Arachne, Maya, Helios, Galahad etc.. He does have less health but if combined with Morrigan he's really invincible, Morrigan tries her best to keep Corvus alive during the battle (she uses her moonlight ability on Corvus, most of the time, which restores his health)... Overall he's not that good, but he's not worst as well... And Charlie himself has uploaded a video of how he solely destroyed a Kaarkh team...
can you do a episode on judge ? i find him pretty good despite what others say. i played less than a month. spent like 15 $ and is in top 700 in both personal and grand arena ranking. he really carry my team. thea.judge.artemis.nebula and galahad. and healer pet. im thinking replacing artemis with maya. kharh ,celeste ,krista and arachne is getting levelled atm. i have been golden in the lottery :)
corvus and undead heros are 1 dimensional team they wont work well on other team but corvus morrigan dorian keira and phobos is very strong team against physical damage dealing teams
I know on mobile he does good damage and paired with Morrigan it is tough to destroy her skeletons with a single target damage dealer but if you use AoE Corvus destroys you. They pair nicely.
There is no such hero Corvus, there simply is no. There is Morvus and you shouldn't really even consider Corvus as a standalone hero. Also Corvus decreases defences way more than you think because it decreases 10% per undead ally, and skellies are undead allies. Same applies to buffing undead allies, he buffs those skellies literally doubling their efficiency, especially because they don't stand at the front line, they go to the middle of your team and wrack havok there, distracting your tank and DD.
(Morrigan clinches fist angerly at video).... Me: ".... Uhhh, Morry, sweety, keep in mind he's talking about what Corvus is CURRENTLY in the game. I promise he might sing a better tune in whenever a skin or rework comes, okay?"
You were showing his abilities with him at 3* how much does it change at absolute? Perhaps lvl 120 o+4 absolute fb corvus would make a more accurate comparison
Please be advised that I checked the calculator for Corvus at absolute star and the difference is fairly minor. Skills @ max with absolute star (and everything else maxed): Strike of Damned - Damage: 50903 Defense & decrease: 7040 Unity of the Damned - Physical and magic attack bonus: 11426 Altar of Souls - Altar damage: 10148 & Altar health: 703841 Royal Defense - same
Probably use him as a secondary tank for now as he’s still quite squishy for a tank without his skins. On that note, wonder when will he get his skins. 🤔
I don't think. No tank can be worse than Galahad or Luther. The game gives these 2 tanks easily and advice you if you want better tank spend some real money to get Ziri or Cleaver
13:33... Yeah mid level running a Kiera team going in the arena when given an option of 3 teams if I picked on with Corvas I would just back out and roll 3 new enemies to fight, but I mean if your during the leveling process where your main 5 is a Jet/Sebastian team and you don't have heros to sub out because you are leveling you would nope out of a Helios fight. There are a handful of strong teams that you see a certain hero even if it isn't leveled up you just nope right out of the fight. Now do I think he is a little too strong against AoE during that time? Yeah I do, but then again Helios hard counters crit teams. I feel it would have been more balanced if either it did the same amount of damage but have it done over time like a poison or if it did a fair bit less damage but instead stopped energy gain, I mean Kiera would die from doing a single basic attack when not at end game. If it was something that was quit lethal to Kiera but wasn't just a "pop your instantly dead" and you had a chance to heal or purge before it slaughtered your health it would be more balanced. Now obviously end game is very different then leveling levels but still even if it was a 3 sec poison that basicly meant the only way to counter it is to have Celeste ready to pop into light form at least it would give some way to not just be an instant death.
I disagree with you on differences in stats on different platforms. Corvus on mobile has different stats because most mobile heroes have different stats as well so Corvus his skill stats are in par with mobile damage output which is different from Facebook or web. Comparing the 2 platforms is the same as putting heroes in a tier list, doesn't tell the whole story. Therefore I disapprove your constant comparison between heroes on different platforms. Mobile isn't Facebook/web and vice versa so stop comparing the 2.
I understand where you’re coming from, that’s why I ended with the mobile comparison. Just because you’re not interested in the contrast doesn’t mean the vast majority aren’t.
@@HeroWarsCentral bit unfair to claim I ain't interested, because I wouldn't watch your vids if I weren't. All I ask is for you to understand the fact that there are differences due to the pets additions or higher lvls of heroes and differences in heroes skins which causes these differences in hero stats and skills on the platforms.
Hi Hero Wars Central i got to strongly disagree with you on Corvus is the worse tank. Currently my Corvus is 6* , 99% max out with 113228 power. I pair him with Albus patron 119k power (60% max out) and he destroy Keria,Yasmine,Twin,Galahad,Cleaver and Peppy combo, Ginger ,Celes .The enemy i am fight are all over 100k power per hero. My Altar damage deal about nearly 15k per hit and if i max out my albus, the altar damage will be about 18k per hit. Yes his defense and magic defense is low but does it really matter when most of my opponent max out their first artifact with 32k penetration?
Corvus and Morrigan provide more team protection than Galahad, and are also an effective Galahad Counter. Corvus often does similar amounts of damage to comparable Galahads. Astaroth is almost all defense, and does almost no damage.
sometimes your advises really help. And a lot of times your videos are DUMB. It's like you only support the most popular heroes and not the ones that are not. Corvus is actually one of the best tanks in the game and so is cleaver whom you don't like
I think it is too early to condemn Corvus as the weakest tank. Remember, Arachne and Aurora were both considered noob traps and useless until they got reworked. I don't think Corvus even has a skin yet. Right now, he may need a lot of work and may not be worth it, but let's see what happens after he has a skin or two, not to mention new hero or pet allies that might work with him better.
On mine (also mobile) he is used fairly commonly. Not the most common, but to be fair everyone had at least one tooled up tank when he showed up, so why replace a strong tank with one being worked on with only the default skin, vs a tank who likely has a skin maxed and artifacts at 100? I am working on mine, but he will be a while before he shows up on a serious team
@@ostrowulf At the beginning of September, i heard about new skins. In middle then, we knew It was going to be the solar skins for Faceless, Martha and Dante. They don't needed new skins, but Corvus and Morrigan do.

thea.judge.artemis.nebula and galahad. and healer pet.
im thinking replacing artemis with maya.
kharh ,celeste ,krista and arachne is getting levelled atm. i have been golden in the lottery :)
i am so bad at the game but so obsessed with it,I wish I had Corvus.
corvus and undead heros are 1 dimensional team they wont work well on other team but corvus morrigan dorian keira and phobos is very strong team against physical damage dealing teams
He doesn't have good health and armor because he does not has any skin. Wait for it and then you will see.
Gotta buy the pepperoni pizza, nice.
Just gotta get a skin or two and he'll be pretty insane tbh
I like how you put both FB and mobile skills side by side you should do that with every hero p.s have fun but ty
I know on mobile he does good damage and paired with Morrigan it is tough to destroy her skeletons with a single target damage dealer but if you use AoE Corvus destroys you. They pair nicely.
THANK YOU CHARLIE!!
The worst thing about Corvus is that, unless there is an event, there is no way to get his soulstones.
I don't think he'd get a skin so soon, but Seb did get his skin pretty quickly so I guess it could happen, who knows.
🤔Unity on sorrows. Slow down Charlie 👻
My level 1 Corvus
There is no such hero Corvus, there simply is no. There is Morvus and you shouldn't really even consider Corvus as a standalone hero. Also Corvus decreases defences way more than you think because it decreases 10% per undead ally, and skellies are undead allies. Same applies to buffing undead allies, he buffs those skellies literally doubling their efficiency, especially because they don't stand at the front line, they go to the middle of your team and wrack havok there, distracting your tank and DD.
I have corvus and morrigan I use both
I think Corvus's low stats is to balance out his synergy with Morrigan. The undead synergy is pretty broken IMHO.
I was about to say worse than Galahad? Then I saw the name of the thread.
what changed in 2 years to make Corvus a must have tank in 2022?
If you gotta compare it like that, then you gotta remove all the skin stats the other heroes has. Then the health and armor would be pretty equal.
Yea, currently, Corvus is a very squishy tank. I wonder if the new hero coming soon will be an undead hero? Halloween is just around the corner.
Wait max stats sheet does not include artifacts (rings, books)? Or just does not include artifact weapon buffs?
(Morrigan clinches fist angerly at video)....
Me: ".... Uhhh, Morry, sweety, keep in mind he's talking about what Corvus is CURRENTLY in the game. I promise he might sing a better tune in whenever a skin or rework comes, okay?"
I think one can be pretty sure that he will get an armour skin, adding 10k of armour
You were showing his abilities with him at 3* how much does it change at absolute? Perhaps lvl 120 o+4 absolute fb corvus would make a more accurate comparison
Oh shoot, was I? Ugh
@@HeroWarsCentral are you gonna fix it? will help alot
Please be advised that I checked the calculator for Corvus at absolute star and the difference is fairly minor. Skills @ max with absolute star (and everything else maxed):
Strike of Damned - Damage: 50903 Defense & decrease: 7040
Unity of the Damned - Physical and magic attack bonus: 11426
Altar of Souls - Altar damage: 10148 & Altar health: 703841
Royal Defense - same
@@dwarman really helpfull. thanks!
@@lizarazualex np! :)
Galahad is way better than Luther.
What about mobile with Morigan?
Corvus is my main tank. And I can use him in several line ups and be effective.Couldn't disagree with u more. But this isn't the first time.
The episode earlier Charlie says these stats don't matter, but for corvus it critical. Only one skin as well so slow your roll charles.
You on FB OR mob?
Ya I'm sure there will be health and armor skins soon.
So I'm on server 60. How often do they start new servers? If I were to move to server 66 do I lose everything? Can you run 2 servers?
I have not even built on either of Morrigan or Corvus.. I only play on mobile... so may e it is different
The main question I have with this is, what are the odds that someone else is assigned undead (or new hero) during Halloween event?
My bet is high. I assume the same two as we have on mobile will get it.
High. The fact they added Phobos after last month saying they weren’t planning on it anytime soon
Corvus is no good without Morrigan. Astaroth
It is versatile
Not a tank, but destroys aoe dmg heroes. Also, his ultimate is nice in a full Undead team.
No tank is more tanky than Galahad.
No Ziri is the worst tank in the game hands down. Shes good at surviving to the end but she leaves her team to die every time.
Can we use andavri + corvus???
Is Aurora, Judge, Dante, Mojo and Lars is a good team combination?
I do think he's not an end game tank. I use him on mobile and for the moment he does his work. He definately needs some skins to make him more viable.
This is definitely something I had not considered
Galahad is great. How dare you compare with Corvus?
Don’t be Galamad
I'm on mobile, but I have not leveled him up enough to use him yet. On my server there are only a couple high level players that use him.
Just bad design to have a tank that is required to have another character to be playable. Also even magic def skin wouldn't be enough.
This, 1 million percent
Then i just swap my keira for krista then my twins teams destroys them got love dan's balanced team it is so adaptable
Corvus has no others skins. I would like to see a skin with an alive Corvus.
I was really hoping for a skin for him this month (on mobile), but no indication of him getting one as yet.
@@ostrowulf At the beginning of September, i heard about new skins. In middle then, we knew It was going to be the solar skins for Faceless, Martha and Dante. They don't needed new skins, but Corvus and Morrigan do.
@@cleitonluiz9062 Yeah, I have two scrolls saved for the skins I was sure were coming. Then it ended up being Solar event AND you can not use scrolls to get those ones anyway, which has me worried about future skin releases.
@@ostrowulf Some day, those new skins Will have easier way to get them. This could be in some event, offer or, what i think is most likely, in few months of patience.
@@cleitonluiz9062 Yeah, I am just worried because when skin events happen, they end up not being available for a year after. So if it is cash purchase only for Corvus and Morrigan skins, I will be skipping them for a year on top of how long it takes them to show up.
Stop hating on Galahad, man. I've seen him kick your butt in GW.
Lol He’s the worst! No he’s great in the right teams
Are these stats including skins? If so Corvus will get his skins at some point
As Galahad is the best tank, Corvus isn't automatically bad.
I like title: worse than Galahad? 😅
Where would he rank versus the other tanks with only their default skins? He’s a decent counter to high burst damage heroes like Keira. I do feel like he’s a better off tank. His positioning is subpar to me.
That’s the thing though, we’ll never know when he will get his first skin
Even compared to Lilith.
So is he ok in mobile?
