I definitely agree with you as far as loving the soft, delicate looks. No other doll line really does these soft colors and delicate looks, especially in playline dolls. There's a sweetness to these dolls that I can't explain. It's not an "childish innocence", it's just a gentleness about their overall design that we just don't see in playline dolls anymore.
I think rainbow high is still beating monster high with the quality, even in these price highs. You gotta give ‘em credit for keeping up the quality of the hair and the fits.

I really miss the second outfits that the SH/RH dolls used to come with. The phones, laptops, and makeup accessories are great for doll photography (my Veronica Storm doll looks incredible holding Rexx's phone, for example, and the laptops look amazing in doll photography), but the second outfits were much more fun for restyles and fashion play. I even wrote a fanfic where the Storm Twins are two of the main characters in it, and it was so fun trying out all my goth SH/RH clothing pieces on them for both of their 2 extra outfits that they wear in the doll photography for the fanfic, and I couldn't have done those incredible, yet temporary restyles if I didn't own all the goth SH/RH dolls and their second outfits. Emi is another doll that I love to restyle because I love how alternative her makeup is, and she has literally stolen a few other dolls' goth clothes (Except for the Storm Twins! They are so special to me that nobody else is allowed to even wear or even try on their original clothes or accessories in restyles!). The point that I'm trying to make is, that doing clothing restyles on the dolls and dressing them up is basically fashion play, which should be a good thing for a FASHION doll line, but MGA taking away the second outfits is limiting that aspect of the dolls, and a lot of the appeal of the RH dolls came from the fact that they came with two outfits and the restyling and fashion play possibilities with that.
Who are these kids that supposedly want a few cheap plastic accessories over a whole second outfit? Because that sure wouldn’t have been me. Not that I didn’t love miniature plastic doodads, but being able to dress them in other outfits was way more fun.
I LOVE when the earrings are just earrings and not some variant of R H or S H. They look so good! Also from all the front facing promo images I kind of thought she had mustache earrings. It was a lil weird but I wasn't gonna judge xD

I fell so in love with Delilah when I first saw her and then I saw Victoria and it was the same, also with that minty green girl. And yes, now that you say it, I think it's the softness on those dolls. They're just... Adorable.
If Rainbow High put out fashion packs, I would buy them (depending on the price). Rainbow/Shadow High dolls started off at $26.99 when they first came out, and with the prices going up recently they were starting to be $30+ each, but now with one less outfit the price has gone back down to $25. I'm ok with that because I will only buy dolls I like as they come, and then with fashion packs, I can pick the 2nd outfit that I like. But that's just me.
I got Victoria yesterday and I had to ask the personnel in Target to get in from the stockroom ‘cause it wasn’t on the shelves and I want her so badd😭 When I got her omgg she’s just breathtaking, she looks like a $70 doll. Her hair is so soft too like .. sheesh I can make a whole essay about her. I’m in love ❤ Hope they continue making this kind of doll with the details and stuff.. plus the 2nd outfits 😩
Omg.....Victoria and Olivia were the 2 dolls in series 5 that I liked too!! I do miss the 2nd outfits. If we have to have accessories, please make them different....not repeating the same ones. Great review!! Thank you for sharing!!

I have Victoria and she’s beautiful. But yeah I’m also not happy about the loss of the second outfit. Yes I get that the ‘target audience’ is kids (and there’s probably a cost cutting factor) but I feel like a lot of adult people and parents, who are the ones that are going to be buying these dolls for kids or themselves, are going to start to be less inclined to because the value is being decreased with the lack of second outfit. Imo there was more value in a second outfit than there is in accessories. Money wise and play wise because having more variety in clothes adds more play and collector value then little plastic object that may or may not even get played with. I’m miss the second outfit and I think this was a big mistake to drop them lol
I remember you said in an older video how at this level of quality and craftmanship/production costs, MGA cannot make too much profit. But the "profit" comes from building a brand (something among the lines). Perhaps we were a bit spoiled with the second outfits and it set a standard. But I still think Rainbow High consistently delivers compared to other doll brands, especially in a similar price range. These dolls still blow me away sometimes.
There was no way they were making a profit. MGA’s goal is to best Mattel, even if that means bankruptcy. That is what they get for keeping a racist megomaniac as CEO!

I miss the second outfit but the accessories are cute (although I only really like the phones and laptops). Victoria is really sweet. I love the delicate pastel girls. Delilah is one of my favourites, Daphne and Georgia too. Also, my 19th birthday is tomorrow and I’m so excited! I found your channel when I was 9.

I’ve always been a subdued fashion kinda person. Probably because I’m an introvert. I’ve liked tailored and sophisticated looks as a kid. I do like the softer looks of these 3, but so far my favorite of S5 is Kim Nguyen. To me she’s super sophisticated. I’ll not be sure until I get my hands on Victoria tho. She sure looks good here…

Those are all my favourites too! Someone at MGA has great colour sense to create these looks. Victoria is not out yet in the Uk but will be joining my collection as soon as possible!
These are beautiful dolls they just keep making such beautiful dolls even if they don't include a second outfit. I'm hoping they'll make more closets or fashion packs.
I love pastels on dolls with dark hair, light grey eyes, and pale skin. Top that off with classic deep red lips.
I love Victoria she’s def my must have in this series I do want to repaint her lips to look more like MH Cupid. My daughter loves Kim. 💕💕💕 omg yes I’m so excited for more Disney ily dolls coming this Fall. Some Victoria have darker freckles. My grandma, mom and I are all freckled all over. My grandma was a strawberry blonde. Victorias style actually looks like something my mom would have liked in the 60s, 70s and even 80s I have auburn hair just like my other British grandma had.
RH never had a second waist clip to my knowledge that is OMG, the shoes have always been plastic except for boots or sandals with real laces.
I understand they have to make cutbacks but it's only been two years since these dolls have been released how much could they have gone up that they can't afford to do that for the same price. Look how long Barbie kept the price low for decades and you still got quality
I just got Victoria a couple of weeks ago and I really like her. I wanted one with a sewing machine because my mom has sewn since I was little. She’s not in her original outfit anymore. Now that it’s getting a little cooler where I live, I put her in an off white sweater with cute red plaid pants and sneakers from one of my accessory packs.
Does everybody hate the person who's gonna complain every single time, When they receive dolls or Buy dolls & having 100% perfect 🙄😒 I mean it's so annoying comment and word, I mean: MGA made some mistakes but, Not everything on dolls should be 100% perfect

I don't know why it took YT algorithm so long for me to find you 💖I am with you about the second outfits ☹☹I really miss them and don't know how many dolls i will buy now because of it. Only my favorites i guess. I am pretty broke now anyway because at Christmas time i went a little crazy with the sales. I do love Delilah and Olivia and had to have them. It is funny because at first i didn't think i would like Delilah because the photos i was seeing looked like someone took a paintbrush and flung it at her lol. Maybe my family has no idea what "strawberry blonde" looks like, but I've always been told/called my hair that even tho it just looks brown. When I was little it was *bright, bright* red, and as I got older it turned brown. I've just always called it strawberry blonde cuz I have no clue what else to call that 😭🤣

I’m very conflicted with these dolls, on the one hand i want two outfits and on the other hand I want them for a certain price. plus like you say we are not the target audience. Then I don’t want fashion packs to have to pay more in the end I hope this makes sense 😊

Victoria looks a bit like the Project Mc2 doll. I like that they use the same design. YES second outfit, but i wish they hade shoes insted of the phones or a hairdryer..

Love Victoria, I got 2 and they both have differences, one has blush in the corner of her eyes and the other doesn’t, one has darker eyebrows and eye shadow, also one has thicker eye liner than the other, I’m tempted to buy another just to see if there is any other differences

I don’t think that’s the end of the second outfit I believe they are just change it a bit. I think they should keep the second out but sell accessories packs and not blind. Buying lab tops, phones, tablets, earrings and headphones is a better way.

She is she would be my favorite if it wasn't the RH all over her pants and second outfit. Also her second pair of shoes are ugly. I actually didn't mind that mine were stolen since I got a discount. Simone's shoes look better with the second outfit. I just don't like the pairing of high top sneakers with a short skirt.

I feel like I’m the only person in existence who dislikes Victoria and finds her plain, boring, and supremely unappealing.
The Neon Shadow dolls are the most beautiful ones.
MGA does have a good grip on the softgirl look. OMG have a hot girl look and it's cool to just see some dolls looking not as flamboyant.
Shanelle is also soft with her aesthetic especially in her 1st outfit . The lace socks, 2 pairs of heels and hair bow screams softgirl. I know that she has black skin so she doesn't read that way but she definitely could've been included.

I'm sorry, but this doll is my least favorite doll of this series. I hate her lipstick, I don't like her eyebrows, and I understand the freckling because people have them. To me, it doesn't translate onto the doll well. She looks hairy instead of freckled. I saw the doll in the store and my opinion didn't change.
I don't think this doll is subtle at all. She has a soft aesthetic but it's not subtle.
I see they’ve run out of colors. Too much repeating!!! It’s boring.
