A lot of these "dark" moments must have been compiled by someone who is waaaay too sensitive to be in the world. The world itself is a dark place and a lot of disney moments teach kids that yes there is darkness but you can overcome it.
Frolo from the Hunchback wasn't "guilt-tripped" into not killing the baby. The priest frightened Frolo into sparing the child's life. The priest 'put the fear of God in him' as some say, by telling him that the only way to redeem himself (and thusly, avoid eternal damnation for murdering an innocent mother seeking sanctuary) would be to spare the child and raise him as a form of penance. So really the movie was only emphasizing that Frolo has no redeeming qualities and only really cares about himself and his own righteousness.

Also in the beginning of the movie you can hear him torturing his old captain for not following his orders. There are a lot of other disturbing things about this movie... including Frollo's behavior towards Quasimodo

The Black Hole was by far the most messed up Disney movie. **SPOILERS** For one, Maximillian the robot shoves a rotating blade through doctor Durant's chest who starts choking on his own blood as his insides are ripped up, then flings his body in to an electrical panel. Then in the ending, doctor Reinhardt is fused with Maximillian, imprisoned for eternity within his evil creation, standing atop a mountain overlooking a literal burning hell after going through the black hole. That said, criminally underrated movie in general.

I feel like screen rants writers are living up to their name, by "ranting!" They know the intent of the films is not to traumatize children. Disney films are overly lighthearted, and need a more sullen counterbalance point in order to leave their protagonists with obstacles to overcome. If you feel like Screen Rant is fishing for views, it's because they are! Their theses are incredibly unoriginal! Why would anyone want to subscribe and listen to this Sunday School talk again?
None of these things are even traumatizing. They're using the wrong word to describe these scenes. When I was a kid, none of these things bothered me. Besides, Disney should make some animated movies for an older audiences once in awhile. Though I'm not sure how that has to do with Sunday school?

Actually Moana was made to commemorate the South Pacific, not just Polynesia. But yeah I can see why people think it's only Polynesian
A lot of these "dark" moments must have been compiled by someone who is waaaay too sensitive to be in the world. The world itself is a dark place and a lot of disney moments teach kids that yes there is darkness but you can overcome it.
Frolo from the Hunchback wasn't "guilt-tripped" into not killing the baby. The priest frightened Frolo into sparing the child's life. The priest 'put the fear of God in him' as some say, by telling him that the only way to redeem himself (and thusly, avoid eternal damnation for murdering an innocent mother seeking sanctuary) would be to spare the child and raise him as a form of penance. So really the movie was only emphasizing that Frolo has no redeeming qualities and only really cares about himself and his own righteousness.

In the Hunch Back or Notre Dame, Frollo basically tells Eameralda that he can be with her, or burn at the stake...Theres a whole song about his obsession with her, where he's caressing her scarf, and saying "God have mercy on me, God have mercy on her, but she will be mine or she will burn". Also in the beginning of the movie you can hear him torturing his old captain for not following his orders. There are a lot of other disturbing things about this movie... including Frollo's behavior towards Quasimodo
9:18 I love Bug's Life. Mainly because I'm a teen now so I'm not scared by animated things (although Chucky and Annabelle and all those horror films are ones I will NEVER see because I am chicken in the horror genre.)

scar made simba THINK he caused the stampede. the hyenas chased the wildebeest into the gorge... and the scar on scars face supposedly came from his and mufasas battle for king , scar was still allowed to stay in the backside of pride rock but wasnt allowed near any of the lioness. which is why in part 2 the lioness who were 'with' scar were exiled.... he hated simba because the only way he would be king was when his brother died cause he wasnt strong enough to challenge for the thrown, also why he takes cheap shots at simba when they battle
Carrie Brown No, Scar, or Taka, requested to have the name Scar, because of his and Mufasa's father. There may be other stories, like the one you said, but Ahadi (Idk if I spelled that wrong) gave Taka his scar, his mother fought for him, and Ahadi killed her, thus the name Scar.

The Black Hole was by far the most messed up Disney movie. **SPOILERS** For one, Maximillian the robot shoves a rotating blade through doctor Durant's chest who starts choking on his own blood as his insides are ripped up, then flings his body in to an electrical panel. Then in the ending, doctor Reinhardt is fused with Maximillian, imprisoned for eternity within his evil creation, standing atop a mountain overlooking a literal burning hell after going through the black hole.
That said, criminally underrated movie in general.
