I heard Michael Griffith went to Howard Beach with some of his boys at night to pretend like he was looking at a car that was advertised 'for sale' when they in fact wanted to steal it. When the community realized they were up to no good, they defiantly chased the would-be thieves away. And one of them got hit by a car whilst on the run.

    •  8 месяцев назад

I don't think that is accurate. The group Michael Griffith was with may have been there to collect a paycheck....or to deal drugs. Or both. It's not clear even now.
What we DO know is that a "mob" did NOT attack them. The initial incident in Howard Beach was started by Griffith's group -- notably, Cedric Sandiford -- who threatened a group of teens in a car after they nearly hit him while jaywalking. He yelled racial slurs...threatened them....and may have brandished a knife. Again, the liberal pro-black media won't tell you those inconvenient facts....Howard Beach is always "a mob attacked an innocent group of blacks."
No, the blacks started it and then the white teens retaliated (which I agree they didn't need to do, just let it alone) but Griffith wasn't killed by the mob, he was high on drugs (sound like a case from 2020 you might have heard of ? LOL) and got killed trying to flee by crossing Cross Bay Blvd at night. The rest of the group was rumbling with the teens and got beaten but NOBODY else got severely hurt or died.
Sandiford had started the rucus with the teens in the car....supposedly, he was planning to leave town thinking he'd be responsible for Griffith's death and the incidents. Sharpton & Co. didn't even want the teens charged; they wanted the driver of the car who (accidentally) hit Griffith to be charged as being in on "the plot" -- there was no plot, the guy was coming home from work and hit Griffith at 50 MPH in the pitch black darkness of the night. He never saw him jump into the roadway.
Once again....FACTS that you won't hear from the left-wing pro-black news media elite, covering for black frauds like Al Charlatan.

@@patricehill4123 Bullshit? Brawley claimed she was in the woods for four days and hadn't eaten. When they examined her she appeared well nourished and seemed to have brushed her teeth recently. She was found in front of the building where she used to live and people testified they saw her at a party there, the night before. One said they saw her climb into the bag. The racist words smeared on her body was upside down, indicating she wrote those herself. She stayed out late and made the story up to cover up. It was never meant to go as far as it had. That's why the family rejected the NAACP's offer for the use of their attorneys. They knew once it was determined, the affair was a hoax, they would quietly withdraw. Sharpton, Mason and Maddox should have been ashamed of themselves, encouraging a 15 year old to lie. I watched a video of her on You Tube. She was in her '40's and she looked terrible. She's branded by that hoax and keeping it going all those years must be hell for her. She really needs to come clean. The truth will set you free.

so does ms. hoover ask the con-artist what seminary he attended and graduated from (like MLK and billy graham).?
remember sharpton demands you call him "a" reverend. the fact is sharpton never attend, studied, or graduated from any seminary anywhere, anytime. not spin, "fact". look it up, youself.
no way..just laughing and joking about the scams this "reverend" guy has pulled for years...
but called it a PBS "interview", please. sell it elsewhere. this was "pandering" the PBS liberal, homosexual and other audiences, nothing new here.

see/read-below. sharpton is "not" a reverend; it is his cover and "con". he states (sharpton) that "his life's calling was to be in the social justice movement at a ministerial level.
so how does the "make believe" reverend do that? he attended brooklyn college in like 1965, flunks out in the first year. then a few years later, becomes a tour manager for (singer) james brown. too busy with money, song and women on the road to attend an actual, read seminary?
if this 'scammer was so "committed" to god, why not apply, enroll in a real, academic seminary and work and "earn" the title of reverend ? just like the "great" MLK
this show should of been titled "lame" line. this was nothing more than doused, down social chat, not like "hard talk". laughing, joking with the scammer sharpton.
secondly, sharpton is not going to provided proper answers or comments to PBS or "someone" like ms. hoover education and background.
lets go down the checklist, of pbs and ms. hoover:
    1. first, there was no mention in the interview, that mr. sharpton was sued
for libel and convicted in 1987 by mr. pagones (district attorney/NY).
a (civil) jury found and stating there was "overwhelming evidence brawley fabricated the story" and that sharpton repetitive and intentionally "slandered" mr. pagones.
$345, 000 in civil damages asserted against mr. sharpton. and this (claimed) man of "god" and law refused to pay it.
claimed other black "leaders" reportedly others and johnny cochran paid it for him.
notice "conveniently" ms. hoover and pbs left this core, essential discussion out of the brawly discussion.
    2. ms. hoover and pbs, never asked mr. sharpton what religious
(christian) seminary he graduated from since he is a "reverend" of god?
you would wait years and months for an answer, from mr. sharpton, on that question.
sharpton might of gotten up and walk out of the interview on that question. no, ms. hoover do not as a real "actual" question like that.
the truth is (fact) mr. sharpton never graduated, applied, studied or ever stepped foot on
a seminary as a student. never.
his (sharpton's) "claim" is, one day; at age 5 or 6 "another" reverend (fd washington) in ny
city-ordained mr. sharpton as a full, fledged, academic reverend; and then in later years
    an "honorary" degree.
i (myself) earned an award at my church at age 12 for many civic projects that i completed in my community. for weeks i spoke about it at our church on sunday and with scripture, reference:
OK. so "therefore" i am a social-justice "reverend" also? why not?, like al?''
that is the criteria "al" uses to be referred to with the salutation/academic-title of: revered
so simple in society and media, for mr. sharpton to claim to be a reverend. but then again
it is profitable for "al". no, 3 to 5 years of tests, academics, leadership, oversight and
ethics courses. she no, none of that just “trust” me, i am a:
    reverend.
sad, unfortunate-what has happened to PBS over the years. with frontline use to be balanced, real journalism. now it is just their for social ratings and social media.
sad of president hoover's grand-daugher in this interview. laughing, joking with such a diversive person. she could of just let the make-believe "reverend" al--could of sat on her lap as she ask passive, non-challenging, "soft" questions.
so typical with these (some corrupt) urban "leaders" deal and talk with them in appeasement, lightly and no real substance and our society and "nation" will be OK.
i can, near, guarantee you that this non-reverend sharpton later that day in his office with his entourage and 'jbozs was high-fiving and "laughing" at ms. hoover and PBS.

Al Sharpton is and always has been a race-baiting racist. He has been poisoning race relations for decades.

    •  8 месяцев назад

AFG, good post some corrections/additional details:
      (1) Sharpton was sued in 1997. Stephen Pagones, Asst. DA in Dutchess County, nailed him,
      (2) The Grand Jury (Oct. 1988) and Dutchess County Sheriff's Dept. (Dec. 1987) BOTH came to the same conclusion: Tawana Brawley faked her condition and it later came out she conspired with her mother Glenda to fool her mother's abusive, drunk, drug-addict BF, Ralph King (spent 7 years in prison for killing his 1st wife).
      (3) Sharpton knew it was a hoax and accordingly would never let Glenda or Tawana testify to the Grand Jury or talk to the media. He did their lying for them.
      (4) Since perjury means a jail sentence, Glenda could never testify before the Grand Jury. Hence, Sharpton drove her out of NY State to avoid a subpoena.
      (5) Sharpton and Brawley never paid their debts from the lawsuit, $750,000 and counting.

      amen.
laughing and joking and claiming this was a mature, serious interview with a known, con-artist and scammer of sharpton. in 1987 the DA in the brawley case (pagones) sued sharpton and won a libel case against sharpton.
$354,000 fine levied on sharpton. he refused to pay. these other claimed "great" black leaders including johnny cochran paid it for him. ms. hoover conveniently leaves that out of the interview. now nice.
so this con/artist states that he "believed" the information from brawley's attorney was true so that gives this "reverend" the right to defame in public the DA in this case.
again, no mention from ms. hoover of that "court documented" fact. this was like cheap talk and coffee time to promote this new documentary of con/artist-sharpton.
he (sharpton) is not a real "reverend". he wants you and our nation to buy his garbage that at age 6 or 7 a reverend (fd washington) "ordained" sharpton and therefore he is a fully, fledged academic and certified reverend. sharpton is not.
it is more of "media" title. kinda-social title.
so does ms. hoover ask the con-artist what seminary he attended and graduated from (like MLK and billy graham).? remember sharpton demands you call him "a" reverend. the fact is sharpton never attend, studied, or graduated from any seminary anywhere, anytime. not spin, "fact".
no way..just laughing and joking about the scams this "reverend" guy has pulled for years...
but called it a PBS "interview", please. sell it elsewhere. this was "pandering" the PBS liberal, homosexual and other audiences, nothing new here.
