Great video! I haven't seen the 5th episode yet, had to work. Thankfully, it comes on tomorrow night and I can see it! Thanks for not having any spoilers! I missed the 1st episode and saw the 2nd one first but I kept getting the impression that Maladie and Amalia had been good friends in the past and for some reason or another had parted ways before Maladie was committed to the asylum. Finally was able to see the 1st episode ( yay! ) and was confused a bit about how they knew each other prior to the opera incident. Then when I saw the 3rd episode and saw Mary and Amalia's conversation in the orphanage, I think maybe Amalia had been in the same asylum at some point. I hope this show stays around for awhile. It's been a good long while since I have seen a t.v show that I could enjoy this much! Firefly comes to mind. 💚
Anyone else sensing something deeper than a run-of-the-mill friendship here though? Episode 2 and Amalia deadass almost killing herself for Penance gives me some vibes.
Oh seriously! Like "villain kidnapping hero's love interest and forcing them to choose between saving them or another innocent person/people" and "love interest yells at hero for almost dying" and "love interest climbs into hospital bed with hero to reassure themselves that they're fine" are all SUCH classic tropes and who took the role of Amalia's love interest in all these situations? Penance. And then episode 3 just...the bickering, the face touching, Amalia calling her "my love" and literally forgetting Annie was in the room when she saw Penance. The vibes are most definitely there.
Maybe they are and maybe they're not. Regardless of what it turns out to be , I hope their friendship remains strong and loyal.💚 Love this show. Have to say the inspector's backstory caught me by surprise. Didn't see that coming. I miss the theater so much! Look forward to where this show goes. Great work.
@@RoseForEverafter Le(z)t's not forget the 'fighting turn on' trope of Penance saying "You look very fi...ine" while Amalia is basically just in a corset after kicking ass. Everyone been freaking out on twitter about 'Kara leaned in' about ✋🏼...this...🤚🏼 much and this show is like "Hold my beer." 🍺
I love Amalia and Penance friendship I hope we get to see how they meet because their interactions with each other is beautiful to see.
I'll be delighted if they do a whole episode of how they met
