This video was basically "watching Joanna get tipsier and tipsier and batting her new eyelashes at the camera" hahahahahaha. I love it! It was super relaxing as I continue to conquer my knitting project (knitting a scarf for my dad when I go back to China to see him this November). I basically gasped when I saw a "wine" related video from you as I'm a fellow oenophile (still very much a newb) and so definitely hope to see more wine related content - perhaps in your future "what's good" videos/IG stories?

Jo's Logic vs Luxury oh GURL I can talk about wine forever. I love wines that are aromatic on the nose but on the tongue is dry or off dry. I don’t like wines that actually taste too sweet, but can smell sweet. For reds I love garnacha from Spain - the one that comes to mind is Tres Picos from Borsao winery (Vivino describes it as full body, off dry, medium acidity, black fruits, flowers, vanilla, brown sugar, toasted almonds, etc.) Nommm! I think I had it with food but I imagine it’d be a great sipping wine too. For whites I like the same concept, smells like heaven but don’t taste too sweet. So something like a Gewurztraminer from Alcace France is amazing. Pierre Sparr winery makes a stunning one. (Vivino notes: medium to full body, medium sweetness, medium-low acidity, lychee, pear, minerals, etc.) I can see this white wine being drunken in your fancy new glass too, the aromas would just be crazy! Something interesting is that I always thought I was a red wine only person, but until I discovered that not all white wines are super acidic and bone dry, I started to get into whites too. Are you into reds more than whites? What are your go-to’s! :)
I don’t have any go tos! I usually grab a white if bringing a bottle for a friend. A chilled sauv blanc is inexpensive and inoffensive! But fornreds, I have liked Italian wines mostly but never saved names or bottles! Your Recs sounds great. Will look for them!

haha that's the only way sam drinks water! he demands it! his latest obsession is that you feed him from a water bottle (even if it's just the same tap water in the water bottle!). if he sees you drinking a water bottle... forget it. i'd love a sam vlog :D

Haha. Actually enjoyed this video. Australian red, New Zealand white. Shiraz is my go to red, Pinot Gris is my go to white. Hope you enjoyed that bottle while working hahaha.

Yes and no. I think it does work. But, you need to be consistent. It is something I find hard to do consistently in my routine. But I’ve been better about it this month and have started doing it as a way to unwind de stress at the end of the day. You just need to carve out that time though which is hard to do even if it’s only 5-10 min
Jo's Logic vs Luxury tell me about it, I love the results that I get when I use it for 10 min but adding that to the routine 4x a week gets tough.

My Riedel performance series glasses are a close second, and then my Schott Zwiesel tritans for company.
Both of those wine glasses are great.
Yes, red wine, especially more complex wines like Cabernet will “taste” better in glasses like those because it allows for three critical elements to all come together:
1) The smell, to get all the olfactory bits of the wine.
2) Room to swirl the wine (oxygen is critical to open some of those more complex wines).
3) The lip of the glass, the thinner the better, so that virtually nothing comes between your lips and the wine.
If you’re worried about breakage, buy the Schott Zwiesel “tritan” series glasses, for your choice of varietal.
Mine have hit granite (albeit from a modest height of where it stood on the counter) and lived to tell the tale.

The shape of the mouth of that glass means you can smell the wine better. I think it’ll be super hard to blow that and make it so thin but also straight. Prolly why it’s so expensive

I think a few great resources are mr money mustache blog. And personalfinance subreddit. It can feel overwhelming when you get started but it’s an investment in yourself to learn (and also a literal investment ;))
There really is a difference in a fine wine glass. Mostly the lip of the glass is very thin. This allows the wine to flow almost seamlessly into the mouth. Compared to a bulkier wine glass which you really feel on the lip. I like a bit of a bulky stem, but the lip of the glass should be very thin. It's a beautiful thing, but yes, you do not need these glasses, you can get a good wine glass at Target in reality. Only spend what you have left over after rent, bills, savings. Then have a ball with the rest.

Instead of showing the lashes and saying you wore them, awesome love it. The wine glasses...uuhhmm $60. Did you ever say, after purchasing did I really just buy $60 wine glasses? Lol or did it come natural? You strike me as the person that would say "did I do that." What wine glasses do you normally buy? I don't drink wine, but I will drink my cranberry juice out of one. Just want to say thank you for talking about finance/investment. Your first video about investment inspired me to invest and I am actually using the robot advisor platform now.
As you mentioned in this video about the coming recession, I don’t know if I should invest now or just save and wait for the recession to happen and then invest 🤔 my friend suggested me to have as much cash as I can before the recession happens but seeing the money sit in my bank account bothers me a lot 🤔
As anyone who knows anything will tell you, “don’t try to time the market.” It’s a fool’s errand! You may get lucky, but you may also be losing out on a lot of gains (ie, if I think there is a recession sometime in next few years but it ends up not happening til 2022, then I miss out on gains in 2019, 2020, 2021... so like how far would you have gotten had you invested during that time?). A pragmatic approach is maybe to not put as much in investments when you are concerned. So whereas before I would put 100, maybe today I put in 75 and put 25 somewhere safe so that when there is a recession I can then use that 25 to buy in.
