I noticed the same thing about riveting the rear spar and doubler together and to prime if desired. It did seem early compared to the previous sections. I immediately thought about the countersunk holes as well. So I did the countersinking step early and set the spar assembly aside while I worked on the front spar assembly. Once both were done, that's when I did a priming batch and primed both assemblies before riveting anything. Great video!
I deburred all my HS pieces (and I think some of the others) and did all of the countersinking, dimpling, etc before assembly. It is not difficult to loop back in the plans and pick up on the assembly after the priming. Make sure you label your parts with a sharpie and it will show through the primer if it's not too thick.

Great feedback! I decided to skip ahead for now as well. Glad to hear I'm not the only one :-)

Yep, that's what I'm planning to do as well. I've already moved on to the next couple of steps.
I did the same thing. It’s strange why the instructions have you do it in 2 batches.
Another amazing video. Looking forward to ordering my kit in the winter!!
Thanks! Maybe you'll get the newer kit with final drilled holes...
Keep up the good work.
Thanks!
This is when rattle can primer would be helpful would it not?
It would be more convenient for sure.
