This is one of the videos that inspired me to start flying 6 years ago! Video pops up on suggestions right now, and I got a flashback, I wish to thank you.
I love this video so much, I come back to it every few months... This was the final thing that tipped the balance to make me start paramotoring a couple of years ago. I owe you thanks! Should I ever be where you are, I owe you a beer!
nice little show. I have been para pilot 18 years and started trike flying a year ago and am starting to have adventures as I get my rig set up how I like it. you shots have me daydreaming , aahhhh. wishing you many more great flights, we who fly know the inspiration. (:
Thanks Jerry! Hope you`ll also get there soon. Low level flying is actually super easy when there is an engine behind you and you fly in smooth air. Of course, a highly reliable engine and a good helmet can make a difference down there :)
This way of flying comes most close to how a bird flies, with the ultimate freedom to go where you want and also much lower than conventional aircraft. And the fact that you can look around much better. Also this song fits the video very pretty.
Thanks, SSzabi! Yeah, I've got a buddy who made straps to attach his GoPro to his show (once in flight) - makes for some nice perspectives when doing low passes through the trees, over ridges,
this is a Miniplane Top80 paramotor with a Paramania Revolution 1 wing. I am not familiar with the wings that you can buy in the US, I suggest you look around on the websites of local dealers and then search for reviews of the wings that you think would be suitable for you. Over here in Europe, Paramania, Dudek, ITV and Ozone wings are the most popular among ppg pilots.
Really nice vid. And the music was great - I really like that "dance" beat. It really fits the subject matter. Consider doing another vid, only try to incorporate a song by Kate Ryan. How fast were you going? For a paramotor you were really "booking" (as we say here in the US).

A szokásos felállás... Jó helyeken, jó zenével, jó alacsonyan :):) HIBÁTLAN!!! üdv: Misi
This would be a great hobby to do. Is it costly? Do you need permits to fly like this? Can you fly in cities? How do you find your way back home? Awesome video, I like the low flying.
the golden rule of paramotoring is that you always keep a landing area within gliding distance. (Does not really work for very low level flights, though.) And I always put an automatic rescue system on to the paramotor when flying near or above water.
The fish eye effect is just one setting on many of the popular cameras like the GoPro. Just depends on what the pilot prefers I guess. It doesn,t necessarily have to be fisheye.
thanks, Hshafe001! Music is always a headache on youtube (copyright issues), so I try to choose less popular music or the ones without copyright problems. My speed is 40 km/h (25 mph), plus/minus the windspeed. The other day I reached 50 mph, I had strong tailwind.
My new equipment (engine+wing) costed 5000 EUR, but it may be double in Western Europe and the US. But then it is cheap to run it, unless you break it :) In some countries you do not need a license to fly it (US), in other countries it may be easy&cheap or hard&expensive to get it. It depends on the local regulations, so you`d better check it with a local paramotor school. City-flying depends on local rules. I find my way back home with a GPS, but it is usually not needed.
heavy air traffic at that altitude: gnats, fruit-fly, dragonfly :) Radio is needed in some countries, not required in some others. You should find a local paramotor instructor for trainings anyway, and he`ll explain the local regulation.
Looks great, and I love flying like that, but in England we have a 500ft rule; we are not allowed to fly any lower than 500ft over buildings, structures, or people. Do you not have this rule where you fly?
camera is mostly between the knees, and for the very-very low ones: between the shins. It is more difficult to keep the camera there, than flying low :)
we do not have any Flat Tops in my country. It would be too expensive to import it from the USA. Flat Top builds in the same engines as any other paramotor makers. It is only the frame that is designed by Flat Top, but believe me: the engine matters. You can buy the same engines from many other ppg makers. You should buy paramotor with a good engine from a local dealer who has reliable and fast after sales services with many spare parts on stock. The brand is less important.
Speaking of flying low, there is a vid that I would like you to comment on. RUclips doesn't permitt URLs, so the description or title search is "Para-Flyers of FL "Paragliding Florida" ". The vid is 8 min 56 seconds long. Check out those gators! What is your opinion of low flying in these conditions, that is, is this less dangerous, more dangerous. Thanks, H.
search for `Agama water rescue` on youtube for videos about this useful gadget. There is a fuse in it that will dissolve in water in 3 seconds, releasing high pressure carbon-dioxide gas from a cartridge into a life-belt, that is attached to the paramotor frame. There are some awesome videos on youtube about how it works.
obviously, flying above a river is less dangerous than flying above a river that is full of alligators :) My buddy in South Africa flew above hippos, that is probably even more dangerous. But statistically there is more chance that some punks will kill you in front of your door.

Wow, that’s an honour, it really warms my heart! Fly safe my friend, and fly a bit higher than this, if possible :)

I`m glad to hear that, Bro! :) Enjoy flying as much as I do, maybe at a bit higher altitude, just for the sake of safety :D
Cheers,
Szabi
Awesome footage and flying man! the freedom motoring brings cannot be beaten!! love it

awesome video. I guess the advantage of a paramotor glider is that, if the motor dies, you just glide to a stop. A little tricky in the mountains.

What a great video! That must have been amazing.
After I saw your video, I was hooked. I'll go paragliding course 16/7 =)
I hope I will be good at flying as you one day!
Amazing! What a view and the courage to do such a thing!
Rosemary Veazie Thanks, Ro :)
Rules are for land walkers! This is great, exactly why I want to get a paramotor.
Same here!
Great footage - thanks for sharing! Was the cam always chest mounted, or are there some foot mounts as well? (Like, through the trees, etc...)
Wow - amazing video - beautifully done
I just loved this video and I loved the music! Awesome!
wonderful video dude damn i want a paramotor now LOL
what about the possible air traffic around?
do you have to carry a radio??
Greetings
Great work - I really enjoyed the video.
Awesome, I didn't know they even existed. I am looking to invest in one now. Thanks again!
Nice video! what is your camera?
Lovely video. What does your 'automatic water rescue system' consist of?
This would be a great hobby to do. Is it costly? Do you need permits to fly like this? Can you fly in cities? How do you find your way back home?
Awesome video, I like the low flying.
Brilliant! I want one!

hello! I have never flown in Slovenia, but I hope to do it some time in the future
I like that you use a normal camera & not that popular damn Fisheye lense trash. It looks much better & it's easier on the eyes, feels more realistic
SSzabi ROCKS, another sweet video my brother.... MrTom423

hey great video!!! I really want to get a licence for paramotors now :-D
