This makes totally sense, in my culture i was told the same ,it was frowned upon back in the day
Our bodies go through soo much from growing a whole being to widing and adjusting a birth canal for the being exit, all the natural trauma needs to reverse and heal totally,if you get up and go too soon your body wont heal 💯 and thats where we are at risk of illness .....it like walking on a broken leg too soon it will heal very bad and create other complications

I was writing about being passionate about childbirth and pregnancy when i rise up this dawning.
Then i saw a friends whattsap update with a tik tok on placenta.
I ended up searching for the full link.
This was definitely divine timing.
Being pregnant and childbirth was traumatic for me.
I did stay with my mother for the first fourteen days then she said its time to go home.
I was looked after by my mother and friends visited.
I did benefit from her support on both occasions.
Upon reflection what you are saying is important, self care and having community and family support is imperative pre and after ❤
