When putting the two halves of the tractor back together screw metric M10-1.5 NC threaded rods (approx. 8" long) in several of motor side bell housing bolt holes to aid in alignment. Just be sure to chose holes that allow access to remove them later i.e. don't put them in the bolt holes in the clutch access openings. It will save you a lot of pain trying the line up the input shaft into the clutch and pilot bearing openings.
I have a Jinma 284, it is simply a wonderful little tractor, it starts right up even after months of sitting. I never knew how easy a small 4x4 tractor can make life, with the efficiency of diesel. Anyway my throwout bearing and/or pilot bearing just went out in my tractor, oi. Thank you for this video!
My Jinma 284 was acting like the clutch wasn't totally disengaging... I thought the clutch wasn't afdusted properly, but yesterday the throwout bearing went out, I wonder if that was losing lubrication and causing friction? I'll check the clutch when I split it to replace the bearings and seals.
That sounds like thats exactly what happened to me. If you need a guide on how to seamlessly split your tractor refer to our Guides And Videos section of our website. Here: www.kenotractors.com/online-tractor-support-help/
I have a Jinma 184. The PTO section of the clutch works fine but the Main Drive section will not disengage. In the past I have had a similar problem after winter storage, but first time I put it under a load with the clutch all the way in it would seem to break loose and work fine all summer. This year it does not seem to want to break loose. Any suggestions.
Your main drive clutch may be out of adjustment. There is a clutch adjustment guide on our website under guides and videos. If you would like you are also welcome to give us a call and speak to our service dept about this issue.
I own a Jinma 254 , looks like the one in this video. Do you know if the stock 3 fingered pressure plate assembly can be replaced with the diaphragm style pressure plate assembly ? What amount do you charge to perform clutch replacement ?
We have attempted to put aftermarket clutches in the Jinmas before to no avail, its easiest and cheapest to replace it with the factory clutch. In our shop we charge a flat rate of 12 hours to replace a clutch, if the tractor does not have a loader its 10 hours. Current cost of the clutch kit is $686.07 and our shop labor rate is $105.00 per hour.
Is it possible to buy a service manual for a Farmpro tractor with a 3 cylinder. YD380 diesel engine ? We are having difficulty setting the timing on the injection pump. We live in Wakefield Quebec Canada and no authorized dealers in the area. Thank you in advance
Unfortunately they never produced a service manual for these tractors, the parts manual is the best available. If you would like to email me at parts@kenotractors.com i can send you all available manuals we have for free. As for your tractor timing, at this point it would be best just to retime the engine from scratch. I would highly recommend giving us a call and speaking to Trevor my service manager, he can walk you through the timing process required for that engine.

how do you remove the output shaft in front of the trans seal my father an i have been working on it for a few hours trying to replace it we have been tugging on it to remove it an it wont budge.
i spoke to our serice manager about this, he suggested to get on the inside and tap on the gears with a pry bar as the only thing that should be holding that in at this point is friction, if you have any more questions feel free to call or email us and im sure we can help. 866-363-8193 or parts@kenotractors.com
There is a large bearing pressed onto the output shaft, and is also pressed inside the transmission housing that must be removed. It is very difficut to pull the shaft off. I used a hammer to continually tap the shaft while inserting larger and larger pry bars on the housing to eventually pry it out. Removing the shaft from the housing is even harder, once you finally get the unit removed. There are multiple bearings/gears to remove, the seal is deep inside the housing. If the seal isn't leaking, I wouldn't try to fix something it. If it isn't broken, don't fix it. It is a very difficult procedure.
I have a farm pro 2425 what wld make high gear seem like clutch is gone ( will pull in 1 but seems like it takes it a sec to get going but weak as far as pulling itself) . Low gears it does fine
This sounds like your clutch is slipping or not engaging all the way, the warmer it gets the less grip it will have and high gears will have less grip as well. You may just need to adjust the clutch, we do have a guide on how to do that here: www.kenotractors.com/online-tractor-support-help/

The 4wd driveshaft going from the transfer case to the front differential is only held in by a spring. Remove the silver dust shield from the area which will expose the driveshaft. Push the entire driveshaft towards the transfer case and the front of the shaft will pop out of its coupler. Then the rear of the shaft will drop out.

2013 Jemna 245 xl won't go into forward gears. Only reverse. Any ideas?
does your tractor have the shuttle shift? which is the forward and reverse lever by the steering wheel.
Drive shaft?
Wanted to ask you, do you torque the bolts that hold the clutch to the flywheel? Also the bolts that hold the flywheel.
The bolts holding the clutch to the flywheel do not have a specific torque spec, as for the flywheel bolts they should be torqued to 45-51 ft lbs.

we use a pick to pry the old seal out and gently tap the new one in with a rubber mallet.

You don’t need to resurface the flywheel?
you dont have to unless it looks visually rough which rarely happens to these tractors unless it happens to rust bad.

Very good point! that should have been mentioned in the video. The torque of these bolts is checked on every tractor that has to be split.
