    Hey, I'm going to a exchange year to Chile next autumn and trying to learn some of the language before so could you tell what was the name of the Chilean dictionary? :)

    I think saying that you'll feel tremors every day is a bit of an overstatement. Noticeable tremors only happen once or twice a month, the rest are almost imperceptible. Larger ones (amusing for Chileans, scary for foreigners) may happen three or four times a year. As for the really big scary ones that even Chileans fear, those happen only once or twice in a decade.

    • @AshelyLiliana
      @AshelyLiliana  Год назад +1

      It was my experience and for someone who doesn’t experience them everyday they were noticeable almost every day :)

    How much is rent for a studio or 1 bedroom apartment outside of Santiago? In the suburbs of Santiago. I have a income of $1,600 USD per month is this enough to cover my monthly expenses in Chile comfortably? What do you guys think!? 🤔 ✌🏻

    • @Dan.dan2217
      @Dan.dan2217 Год назад +1

      That should be enough to have a studio or even 1 bedoom small apartment nicely located in Providencia near a subway station. Then you would be near shops, supermarkets, public transport, etc. If you go to a suburb you will be constantly spending money in uber or in parking in case of getting a car, which might be needed when living in a suburb

    My mom is going to Chile for only a week. Should she still register her phone? If she does not does it just automatically lock?

    • @AshelyLiliana
      @AshelyLiliana  2 года назад

      Hi there, I am not sure if it has changed, but when I was there it only locked after 30 days. One week should have no problem.

    Do you speak the Language? How do I work? I want to go for 3 months. I did spend 2 months this year

      I do speak Spanish but I will say every Spanish speaking country has their own dialect. So definitely study some chilenismos. Check out my teach in Chile video. I talk about how I moved to Chile for a year then 5 months on 2 different visas.

      Hahaha we do. It’s a culture entirely forced into the worship of cult leaders like Elon Musk, Trump, and tv personalities. It sucks. Venture capitalists are buying up everything from homes to hospitals. It’s terrifying & a lot of us are looking for a way out.
