Simply the best way to take a 10 to 20 min break from whatever you're doing. Sit back and visit Red Tower. So glad I found this, tempted to binge watch. LOL
I watch a lot of horror shorts on RUclips and have probably seen a few hundred over the last ~5 years. This is easily one of the best I've seen. Nice work all around. Writing, camera, acting, sound, all of it was great!
This is the 2nd short in a row I watched from you all. This didn’t disappoint either. You have one hell of a team! Please don’t stop making these, unless you progress to feature length movies, then I’ll follow. I don’t know shit about making movies, but you sure AF do it well. I’m certainly checking out the rest of your collection. 8:08 - this shot is wonderful. I watched it a couple times. I didn’t expect anything behind her, but it didn’t take away from the atmosphere.
this is a winner all the way .smart move on the monster just showing the arm cuts cost and still scary great acting. very well done and sets up a part 2
Absolutely brilliant, a spot of excellence in short filmmaking. Bravo to all involved, it was positively thrilling! Left me wishing it would keep going, the excitement of it had me glued to the screen. A smashing job all around, a marvellous little wonder!
Only bad thing about this is I wish we had just a little bit more to go on. About this, which I assume to be a sister/sister situation. Besides that, this is one of the best films on red Tower as far as I'm concerned.
Although it was obvious that eventually the poor kitty would end up being a meal (otherwise why really bother to incorporate that part into the film?), why zaaasdsxZxzzzzForeshadowing for sure. I just hate it when films end up hurting or killing innocent animals (or basically any animals in general), even though I know that none of it is real and that no animal(s) actually get hurt/killed in the making of the film(s). It still upsets me though as I'm a huge animal lover, and I can barely even begin to think about any animal getting hurt or killed for purposes like just plain evil/"for the fun of it", etc. I think most films could really just do without any animals being killed or hurt - it doesn't really add anything to the film or make the film so much better imo - in fact, I think it could simply be totally left out completely in the whole filmmaking process (unless it is absolutely required to the plot/story). And no, I am NOT vegan or against eating meat; I just don't seek out watching of reading about the processes used to prepare, kill, etc. animals in the meat industry. I figure as long as these animals are treated with the most possible respect, kindness, etc. up until they are killed, then that is fine with me.
Me - LONG before this problem got so big: "Is this the director of the CDC? We have MUCH bigger problems than COVID-19 up in here. I need your help - NOW. Here is my address." If help never showed, or regardless of anything else, ME, @9:00 - realizing that that THING is NOT my loved one anymore, empties the 33-round magazine of my Glock-19 into whatever that is behind me.
@@redtowerent Would love to know what program that was. I'd join. We don't know how long this has been going on, but long enough for her to have a carpenter make that door for her, and the motion light. We also don't know where that door leads. Seems like it was a hallway, so that can't be a basement, and an attic would also make stair noises. So is there a room with boarded up windows in there? If so, why bust the door and the front door? Why not just go out the window? I'm overthinking.
Anyone in their right mind would do the right thing & poison that thing . In her case it's the old saying ya snooze ya lose & she waited way to long to act so now she's dinner. 😱🍔
There are a few things that don't make sense. The guy is staying in that room by choice, because he can open the door 8:30. Which leads to ... the end.. why kick all the doors over, if you can open the doors? Also, where is she getting all the money to buy all the meat? Also, also, there is no setup for the connection between them. If she can talk to him, wouldn't she be talking to him all the time? There is no point in keeping him alive. She should be talking to the door "I know you told me never to open this, but I miss you. Say something. Give me a sign that you are still in there. That it's still you." etc. Then the door opens slightly, and his wedding ring rolls out, or a wedding picture is pushed out, or something. and she cries, while he scratches the wall. THEN she goes and kills the cat.
@@ZimCrusherThe monster is not the boyfriend; it’s her sister. She ate the dude. Your points about the door are fair. I mean, why have a little sliding food door if the sister can just walk out whenever she wants? Why does the red light come on sometimes, but not every time the sister comes to the door?
@@Newnodrogbob When do they say it's her sister? I only see flash backs and pining for the husband. Horror is one of the easiest types of movies to make, and is great for new directors to learn on, because the horror fans are so forgiving, but you still need to set up rules for your world, and follow those rules, or the viewers will feel cheated.
@@ZimCrusher when she’s on the phone with the power company, she says “my sister…has medical issues.” She didn’t say “my boyfriend.” When she talks to the monster she says “you’d stay downstairs, and you won’t hurt anyone else…” implying that the monster has in fact hurt someone. Her flashbacks of the husband are of him examining the door behind which the monster lurks. His soundless talking appears to be him asking for help? That part is unclear. The implication though, is that he was killed by the monster, not that he is the monster. You’re not wrong that there are issues here, but it’s bad form to be so condescending about the story when you haven’t really grasp the bits they laid out for you…
I take my hat off (if I had one) to the viewers who 'got this'....... I was totally lost from start to finish, perhaps a few more concurrent viewings would solve that
Thank you for this comment, I was hoping to find it. I'm not dumb but I didn't get most of this film at all. I'll probably rewatch it a couple more times to see if I missed some major "clues", but I doubt I did. I've watched thousands of horror shorts and full-length horror movies and unfortunately a lot of them make absolutely no sense. I mean, I think I got the main "gist" of this film, but I am still so lost and confused. Did her sister kill her hubby/bf or did Covid kill him? I'm probably way off on that, idk. But I couldn't tell if he was evil or not - it seemed like he warned her in her dream when I think he told her to wake up due to impending danger from her sister. I must've also missed that this "monster" locked away was her sister?? Honestly I thought it was her hubby/bf. I thought the filmmakers did great with everything else, just the story/plot could've been a bit clearer imo. I know horror shorts don't have the benefit of more time to "explain" things, but I know it's certainly possible to do it - I think this one could've done a lot better in that department anyway. Hope I hear back from you or anyone else that can maybe shed some more light on this confusing story. And please no trolling/nastiness or rudeness - I'm just trying to nicely ask and figure out what this film was all about more than what I got from it all. That's it. I don't think it comes even close to receiving any nasty or rude replies. I appreciate any explanations, etc. that might help me understand this better. Thank you 🙏
everybody is like congratulations.... congratulations.... !!! like they already know who (probably her sister) that dearly human to her & why it's like vampire (scared of white light). still very good though. well if short movie creaters somehow could create story of these episodes then their ideas, efforts would be fruitful to their whole work many many times that one can imagine. like 90's horor tv series goosebump & many others.

I think what it makes this short movie really good that we never actually see the "monster" behind the door, but we all know she is scary
Sister or not she's going down. I'm not violent but in this case I'll make an exception. It was creepy.
Creepy is our jam! Thanks for watching!

Should have been Titled " The Freeloader". Thanks for the Willies, Red Tower !
Those freeloaders sure eat a lot of meat! Hehehe. Thank YOU!
Freeloaders are creatures of a different breed. And, you shouldn't feed them at all.

I didn't get it clearly. Plot of this short isn't fair enough to understand
