as far as the spot lock if your moving forward and you like the spot and you hit the spot lock, it goes by gps signal and will move you backwards to the spot you hit the button, its not a flaw there is nothing to be updated, if your still and hit the spot lock you wont move till your blown off course and it will move you back to the location you were at. . next time you go out and your moving drop a buoy and hit spot lock at the same time the trolling motor will take you directly back to that buoy I hope this helps my best friend owns a 2017 rt188c and loves it, I own a 2019 rt198p
Great video! Could you do a video on the Garmin Force and the Livescope. This really interests me, but am having a hard time finding ppl using the Garmin units with the Force motor. Does it take you to waypoints, move down banks on its own?
*I had nothing but troubles when I installed the panoptix in boat with two new Garmin fish finders **allabout.wiki/iz8t** lost sonar this and that .. after doing a lot of reading this thing needs to be direct to battery not to fuse box or spliced into a hot wire . I took everything apart today hooked it up to a stand alone battery and not one error at all . I might get a kayak battery just for this to run on . going this weekend to big musky lake I can not wait !!!!*
Good review, like how you get straight too it and dont mess around....Im guessin you moved the trolling motor in by now......price point as of nov 21 same boat coming in around 36k maybe.
I have the Crestliner xf189 with same motor. It only average 38. When I put a 19 pitch stainless steel prop on it, the wot rpm is only 4800. Which is below the recommend rpm.
Dude you have no clue 😂 haha we LITERALLY spent a half hour trying to raise it the other day following Garmin’s instructions and couldn’t get it to raise. I gotta work on it again soon
Hope you see this and are able to answer my question. The set up you are running is almost the exact same as I plan on installing on my boat this winter. My question is as I am installing the force on my 17’ fiberglass boat I do mostly walleye saugeye fishing in Ohio. If ran 24 volt how long would I be able to run the force at between 2 and 3 mph before draining the batteries before I move stuff around and go 36 volt. Trying to avoid that due to needing a big motor battery two for 24v and another for my livescope. Want to keep the weight down a little bit. Really hope you can give me this info.
Did you elect to go with the spot lock over the power poles due to price? I've never had power poles on a boat. I don't know a lot about them. I need to get feedback on that topic before I drop money on the power poles. I like the rt 188p. Looks like it would be a fantastic boat.
Spotlock is 100% necessary regardless of depth or you are almost screwed if there’s any wind at all. Power poles only work in the shallows and are pretty expensive so I passed on them for now
Quick question bro. Looking into this exact model. But not sure if it'll fit in my garage. Whats the length from the foldable towing bar to the back of the motor? Ready to be stored. Thanks
I don’t believe they did but we had a shop install it since it was our first boat and we had a lot of electronics getting wired and I would have messed something up for sure 😅
Watched it to see how the spotlock was doing...if recalibrating was the answer. Its symptoms are improving as first reported I thought you were doing circles and now it just reverses to point of approach.
We are almost certain what happened was the shaft of our trolling motor was sliding down and putting pressure on the wires to where it couldn’t turn as much as it needed to. Now we have it raised up a little and it acted fine yesterday
@@WestinSmith What I was getting at is Some Ranger bass boats get up to nearly that price as I have seen on their website. I was wondering what can be accomplished on a much more expensive boat that can't be done on yours.
quick question, how is the stability when you and your partner are going down the bank. just worried about if I move to one side, i dont about throw the other person out.
Whats up Wes quick question is googan hq in texas cuz i got a email saying my order has been shipped but it says its coming from Oklahoma and i thought they were in Texas
I'd have gone with the Vexus AVX 1880 myself because it's a true V-Hull up front as opposed to the Ranger's Mod-V. The Vexus has 2 pull out rod straps up front and is 6" longer overall.
Guys with your bass boats lol lazy boy chair😭 look I grew up with Bill Dance being from Ohio. on Lake Erie walleye boats and cabin cruisers baby!!!! About to buy garmin live scope for the whole family Hahahahahah Christmas gifts hahahaah
Hahahaha that’s awesome! Garmin Licescope seems to be taking over. They are just way ahead. When we visited Fork recently it was all people were talking/asking about

Your actually gonna get more speed when you have a slight chop then you will when it’s slick calm believe it or not.

Enjoyed the vid thanks for the info on boats I’m hoping to get me one soon. Keep them coming

On it right away! Can't wait 🔥
Slide that trolling motor up, so it supports the foot of the trolling motor

Doesn't even seem like it's been a month! Love your setup, and can't wait until I can get some of the same upgrades done on mine!
Thank ya!
Glad y’all ears enjoying the boat
Thanks
Where is your GLS 10 black box mounted for livescope?
What is the top speed?
Great video very informative wondered if you could tell me or post the links to your fish finder brackets on both the bow and console.
It may be linked in the description, if not, I have it linked in the episode where we got everything installed
If you could do it over, what is the best two display and trolling motor combo for a bass boat?
How do the livewells perform on a full tournament day out on the water in the summer? Better yet, how would you rate livewell quality overall?
how is it stability wise? meaning if you are on one side, and someone moves are you being tossed out?

Nice vid bro not a boat owner so I was hanging on every word if I was to get a Ranger like yours what's the price range before and after accessories?
Hey you need to fix your trolling motor mount Bc it’s not on there right
Great video! I have a 2014 RT 188 and wish it had some of these features, they thought of everything for the 2020 model!
Thanks man! I’m sure that 2014 is pretty decked out 🤘🏼🔥

iam getting me a 2023 RT188P in March!!!!
Do you plan on getting a talon
YES I like seeing how u edit with I movie really helps me understand how to edit better
Thanks man
I read comments and reviews about how easy the paint gets scuffed and scratched on the Rangers - are you experiencing this?
I think it’s the same as most others. If you are knocking against stumps and hard surfaces I’m sure any boat would. It’s held up nicely for us so far
@@WestinSmith Great!... glad to hear that!

Hmmmmm...... I’ll have to check next time I’m at storage. Haven’t folded the lip before since our storage unit accommodates the full size
@@WestinSmith i greatly appreciate it.
Question, did the Garmin Force mount holes align with the Minn Kota Maxxum mount holes? I have a 2021 188P and upgrading from the Maxxum to the Force.
I don’t believe they did but we had a shop install it since it was our first boat and we had a lot of electronics getting wired and I would have messed something up for sure 😅
I’m looking to get the same boat, I’m wondering why you didn’t get the power poles? Thanks
Money we wanted to spend on the Garmin panoptix stuff instead
Did you like the Shimano sienna is it a good reel for the price
Yes it’s great for the price
Do you wish you would of gotten the 198
Thought it was going in circles trying to throw you out the boat. You figured out the issue?
We raised the shaft a bit. It was putting too much pressure on the wires after sliding down over the first few weeks
Clean ass boat man!
GnF is watching you :)
What is the max person and weight for that boat I’m a bigger guy so I need it
Let's see it out there m. Boy you sound excited. All I got is a medium size John boat. Fish on.👌👍😊
Thanks mike! Would love a Jon boat for certain areas too man, you can take that thing places I cannot haha.
What kind of prop are you running on that motor?
Whatever comes standard on the Pro XS model 115hp
Garmin's so ballin
No lie!

@@WestinSmith Aha, great news. Thanks for the udate.
As far as function is concerned, is it worth it to get the $80,000 deluxe model?
Never heard of that one. We just stayed in the 30ish price range before electronics

It’s fine, I’d say you don’t have to worry about it since this thing is almost 19’
@@WestinSmith my concern is, the person in back sliding to the other side and I am not ready for it, and almost throws me out of the boat
thats a nice rig for sure man, lol an upload before 1 am? what??
I’m on my game today 😂🔥
Whats up Wes quick question is googan hq in texas cuz i got a email saying my order has been shipped but it says its coming from Oklahoma and i thought they were in Texas
Yes, Krum Texas
any update on top end speed?
Fastest fluent talker on yt on moms
Hahahaha you’d think so but I make a SHIT TON of cuts 😂 yolo
How long does the cooler hold ice?
Depending how hot it is it seems to hold it 2 days
Love vids
🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Love the video man!!
One thing that I think could be improved is that you are talking really fast. It’s a little hard to follow.
notification squad 😀 @james_pisano_fishing
Why don’t you just leave your tackle in the boat?
Cause we bank and kayak fish

Never said how much you paid for it
👁👁👁👁 me watching this with my 87 ranger that has low end graphs
So I guess Westin is a googan now🤷♂️⁉️

Hey that’s too early for you to be uploading lol.

Hard Seltzer? That should never be onboard a ranger boat.
dude this camera was so damn shaky. hard to watch.
