You're right. Wellbutrin does not take all the depression away but it gives you a room to breathe so you can focus your thoughts on positive things. I've only been in it for a month with Zoloft and both definitely help me go through the day. Finally able to focus and complete my tasks. My next step is to attend psychotherapy consistently and hope that I will be able to function without medication in the future.

Spot on! I have already been down that lane, but your video would have put my mind so much at ease when I was looking for info on Wellbutrin. My psychiatrist told me that would be our next step if I didn't respond to the treatment she was prescribing.I trust this video will help many people.

I just started my SSRI journey exactly 10 days ago. Maybe it’s a placebo effect but I swear I haven’t had this type of clarity in my mind since……….forever. I used to have 3-4 conversations going on, 2-3 songs and thinking about several other things ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Now, it’s just one conversation and one song 😂🤣. YOU’LL NEVER TAKE THE MUSIC OUTTA MY HEAD….NEVER *Insert evil laugh*
    😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Things that would normally send me spiraling into anger, anxiety or depression don’t trigger me as much. It’s almost like I really DGAF. Mind you this is ONLY 10 days in. My focus at work is soooo much better. I have more motivation to do things I haven’t done for months. Walking into a grocery store or Walmart doesn’t seem as scary. Dealing with the bs with my family is easier bc I say what I feel and mean what I say. Coming home from work these last few days isn’t exhausting. I’m actually excited to have time in the evenings vs wishing I was in bed instead. My patience with people has always been great but the biggest test was with my nephew this weekend. We got through 2 days together without meltdowns bc I was able to level with him and not loose my cool. IT WAS AMAZING.
    BUT THIS GASSSSSSSSS
MY BUT SHOULD REALLY BE A LEGAL WEPON BC OMG IT SMELLS HORRIBLE. THEN AGAIN I HAVEN’T POOPED IN 4 FREAKING DAYS. I blame the meds bc I usually go once daily.
I’ll try to check back in in a month with updates.

Ive been on it for 5 years. Works amazing for me… but… after 5 years I just realized that the monthly migraines that I never connected to its use started 3 months after I started using it, as evidenced by the prescription for maxeran I got from my doc. Yeah, how I never put those 2 things together I’ll never know. So now it’s like, what’s worse, a day a month in bed throwing up or every day in bed lacking the desire to get out. Tough choice.

I had started on 150 mg and it was a nightmare. Then went down to the lowest dose, much better experience. Not the best for people with anxiety, but not the worst either. I feel better, but like you said, it doesn’t take all the depression away.

    • @MinPer7
      @MinPer7 4 месяца назад

In NY 150 is the lowest and I also heard that same that for ppl with anxiety is not a good choice unless it’s combined with an anxiety med like my psychiatrist for me. Now if I only can get to start anyone of these meds I can get my life back. The fear paralizado me. Many has given A+on this combination. Good luck

Honestly, 49 mg of celexa is too high to start off with. And 75 mg is very low. I honestly think u should get a second opinion. They started me on 300 mg of Wellbutrin with 20 mg of celexa.if you are having those side effects for too long I would ask to try a different med. There are so many choices out there. I have tried many as well. Your body will let you know which works for you. For example, years ago they put my mom on Lexapro which people raved over. It made my mom cry all day!! At that time I wasn't in meds but told the Dr that if he didn't change her meds then he will need to give me meds too lol. Good luck!!

Just 6 months into taking welbutrin it has been working on my PTSD adhd depression symptoms the only medication that has helped so far until
Last Monday my spouse woke up to me having a clonic tonic seizure that lasted at least 10 min he called 911 and tried CPR on me because I was not breathing ,
Got to the ER and was told most likely was the welbutrin ....
Sore body all week and I bit my tounge so hard I damaged a nerve and mt tounge and Lips are numb...
Now do I stop taking ? Or continue with the risk of having another seizure?

I was on escitalopram 20mg for months, waiting to get better. No effect. Then i went to a different psychiatrist, who started me on wellbutrin and scheduled a qb-test. Been taking 150mg for 3 days. For years i didnt know why im depressed all the time, why my memory is bad, my mood is always a rollercoaster and why i keep losing my stuff. Maybe I´ll have the answer soon. Hope wellbutrin helps me. My psychiatrist thought, if a non-stimulant option works, its better to try that first.

I am 50 years old and just diagnosed with ADD... after educating myself about it I agree with the diagnosis. my psychiatrist prescribed me 150 mg Wellbutrin. 5 weeks in went back for a checkup told the doctor nothing was happening it may as well be a sugar pill and he stated he was not surprised. But he said you have to go through a gamete of medications before insurance will cover stimulants. Unfortunately doctors have their hands tied and even though they know what the best medication is they can't give it to you until they give you several medications that are not effectacious.
