Ken Jennings - ie, the "long-handled garden tool Hoe" guy - agrees with you, and insists to this day he should've gotten credit for a correct answer!
(The fact that he's a Mormon makes his answer even more delicious.)

If the answer was one who gives the pleasure (especially to receive payment) rather than seeks the pleasure then that would be a more valid argument. Even then the words are synonyms and therefore are different words and using either one of them invalidates the given 'answer' for the other part of the answer given by Alex. Not that it matters and not that I am telling you but I doubt that I'd find a way to tell Ken to his face haha

the answer about "grass" is what was a nickname for pot or marijuana in the 1970s which that game show "Newly Wed Game" was aired. So the reference "grass" is funnier if you know that when the wife said "grass" and he said " i would not bet on that" means they probably had more pot or marijuana than the other people in the neighborhood! We have some things in plastic containers in the US but majority of our produce are loose and where we can pick them up and examine them individually to choose what we want to buy. additionally, if I go into a store and I do not smell peaches, I know those peaches are not ripe and I will not bother with them.
