middle class parents can't handle the fact that their child is adult now N can take decisions... they think only what they had heard in their young life. Also, the child should be able to convince his/her parents that the new thing can have both risk n perks like everything.

Mine was love marriage. I did not have any house at that time. The girl’s parents had put up a condition to get her daughter married to me only if I buy a house anywhere. It was Covid time and I pushed myself to purchase the house. For sometime after marriage, I used to think why I purchased the house just in the pressure of my in-laws. But today, after 3 years I feel good that I purchased the house at that time as I could not afford to buy a house now. It was a blessing in disguise to me.

So what I’ve observed is, with age responsibilities and expenses increase, and on the other hand, house prices will continue climbing. So it is difficult to accumulate a corpus enough for down payment and then take on a loan, so most people end up staying on rent.
