Phil is the one the faces on the mount Rushmore of metal. Dude is just so damn versatile.
Phil is real brother and so are you, Mike. Phil had a fight with the Mic, and lost, but kept rocking, lol.. The entire NOLA album by DOWN is amazing. One of the greatest metal albums ever. Check out on youtube the 25th anniversary of NOLA, live. It's amazing, brother. These guys still rocking!! They love each other, they're real, they're raw, and it's just a special band.
So many more people neeeeed to know about this band 💯 one of the best metal bands there is,, but there so underground .. no radio play no videos non of that just fans👌

Dude, you don't gush that much blood from smashing the mic into your forehead. Earlier during this show, during Lifer, Pepper accidently hit Phil in the head with his guitar. That's what caused that much blood... But yes, Phil does smash the mic against his forehead.

Those first two DOWN records are effing amazing. On a side note, who has more side bands Phil or Max Cavalera?
Not to mention Mike Patton and Maynard James Keenan; they have a lot of side bands, too.
I gonna go with Mike Portnoy.
Phil has been in more projects than anyone I can think of by a long shot. Between active and inactive bands I'd say he's been in over 20 bands throughout the years.
The couple times I saw them one of the most energy draining shows you'll see.
Mike you are definitely my favorite reaction channel, keep up the kick ass work!

I think it was during the song Lifer or Temptation's Wings, at this show, he smashed the mic into his forehead, which was something he did every show, and all the bands he was in

@@puckernuts75 I've watched this whole show a lot, this is from the mic, the only person that hit him with the guitar was Pepper, and it was the side of his head, during Lifer, if I missed it, let me know where to look

It is SO HARD to not just listen to the first 2 tracks over and over. But then yyou remember that every song on the album rocks. It is stupidly good. I just dont get how good NOLA is

Edit : He smashed his head with the mic during the singing of 'Lifer' during this show. And went on to perform the show, occasionally wiping his forehead with the handkerchief in his back pocket.
Edit 2 : the two guitarists are also vocalists in their own bands. Kirk Windstein (the bald one) is the frontman of Crowbar, while Pepper Keenan is the frontman of Corrosion of Conformity, a band which I cannot recommended enough, especially their 'Deliverance' album.

Losing All is an amazing track!!! Love it! You could try out some other tracks from Down like "Hail the Leaf","Lifer","Eyes of the South","Bury Me in Smoke" etc. etc. they are killer tracks as well. Peace out!
another fan note is that Rex Brown(the bassist of Pantera) recorded bass in the second and third album of Down.
