@@LongSinceDead1 thank you!! I'm still hard at work to complete season 1, but my time is limited after starting a new job (sorry to keep everyone waiting). I promise new episodes will come :)
Wow, this is amazing work. On one hand, I am sad it took me so long to find this,. On the other, I am super happy that there are more episodes for me to watch immediately❤
How can I contact you? I want to talk personally by correspondence, we are essentially colleagues and we know this series, where is it convenient for you to talk by correspondence?
There used to be a guy on RUclips who did something similar. But they deleted their channel. I've tried searching for another play through that showcases it as a tv show. And I finally found one! Thank you!
Wow, this is amazing and might be one of the best cinematic game series out there. Really well done. Hope you continue this throughout the rest of the trilogy! Not sure how I feel about default Shepard having hair lol but I'll roll with it.
This was awesome! Really like how you handled some of the more “gamey” aspects of the story. I really like a lot of the exposition dumps being moved to other characters. Hope you keep this up. This must have taken a lot of effort also don’t be discouraged by low view count.
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you like it. I tried hard to make it focused on more than just Shepard 100% of the time. Episode 2 has some really creative changes that took a long time to organize, so hopefully you'll be back next Friday!
There's an easy explanation for that! I've been obsessed with finding a good Mass Effect series for a long time, and once I started getting into the process, I came across yours and it blew me away with how excellent the quality was! You honestly single-handedly pushed me to put in extra effort right from the start (I almost gave up before starting because I thought I could never compete with your quality, but I'm glad I did because it's been such a fun experience 😅). So yes, your videos had a BIG influence on how mine turned out as well, but I'm hoping I wasn't too much of a copycat in future episodes! haha
There are certain mods accessible on PC (found on Nexus) which allow you to access the "toggleflycam" mode! Please feel free to reply if you need more help 😊
@@SpaceBengal Where to find this and how to use this mod ? I know the game well as a fan of the series, but I didn’t really use mods and didn’t think it was necessary.
NO WAY!!! Hahaha I am embarrassed that I have not caught that after watching the intro a hundred times. Thank you for pointing that out, I will correct it moving forward. Seth, wherever you are, I am sorry.
Fantastic. Trully good job, this. I watched it with real pleasure. I've seen somone here critiquing your intro, as being too much,or too spoilery for people who don't know the ME universe. I disagree. I wouln't worry about new audience and people who never played ME in their life. Firstly, this is not made for them. Chances are that they won't end up on this channel anyway. For those that acctually do, well the episode either grips them or not, but rather on merit of whats in it, and not by flashy intro. If they like what they see, they will keep watching , and maybe even play games. If not, bye bye. Oh as for those with attention span of golden fish, who can be reel in only by flashy intro and action flick of constant lasr battle, who cares about them? You loose their attention as quickly as you get it. They wouln'd appreciate if this was made in Hollywood with budget of millions and some stellar cast too. They would just get bored. No reason to cater for that audience. Why do I say that? Because this philosopy of holding hands of newcomers was applied to games. Worrying about accesibility of the game for new players was an axcuse used by EA to pressure Biowere to dumb down ME3 "so it would attract new generation" of youngsters who couln't be bothered to play ME1 and 2, but wanted to start right in the middle of the end. Predictably this approach left real fans angry an dissapointed, while new players weren't all that thrilled with rather midiocre game. Those who got hooked and become fans anyway, ended up playing ME1 and 2 after that anyway. Then they joined army of dissapointed fans demanding better ending and wondering how good ME3 would have been if only EA kept their greedy paws off it. So keep up good work, do it as you envisoned it. For us, fans of ME this is good enough.
You raise a lot of interesting points that I didn't really consider before! True, I did try to accommodate as many people as possible, but you're likely correct that catering to completely new viewers is a lost cause. I guess my initial thoughts were that maybe people would watch it with friends, family, etc. who they always wanted to share Mass Effect with, but couldn't because they weren't gamers. But I think the more videos I've made now, the more I do it out of my own love for the series, and sharing what I enjoyed from it the most (while making intentional sacrifices and decisions here and there for more interesting story purposes). I do recall when Mass Effect 3 was released they tried promoting it as a game where "anyone can jump right in!" which I completely forgot about until you brought it up 😂 So for that reason, I'll keep making it for the fans, do what my gut tells me, and accept that not everyone will be happy when the big game decisions come later on! (I'm actually terrified lol)
@@SpaceBengal Ha ha, don't be scared. No one ever managed to make everyone happy. Do what you do for yourself, and your own satisfaction, and it will shine trough. People who appreciate ME lore, the fanatastic world and great characters, not to mention gamestory will see this. Even if in our own playtrough we made different choices, we will still appreciate true gamer and fellow fan of ME. Thank you for your effort and, yeah keep it up:)
So I'm about a 1 minute and a half in and I gotta say the intro betrays your intent in a big way. It's very much made for fans who already know the story and want to see some kind of fan video kind of thing. Mishmashing stuff from ME2 and ME3 and showing a bunch of fan favorite shots in the very first minute of the show is the oddest way of presenting a series for a first timer I've ever seen. ME1 was gradual in it's presentation of aliens and what or who they were. This intro is basically "here's a bunch of 'em all at once!" To be clear I don't think it's bad, it's actually a pretty cool quick music video type thing that's very well made, but yeah when you say "This series is meant to be as *SPOILER FREE* as possible" but you have THAT as your intro... well sorry you gave a bunch already. Just wanted to leave this comment here before I check out the rest of the vid.
Ah, I admit it is one of the first parts of the series I made, so it might have been completed under a different mindset. I really still don't believe it gives much away under under the assumption these clips have little to no context for a first time viewer, but still gives just enough away to see what the show might be about/generate excitement! However, I see where you're coming from. Thanks for the feedback!
