- Well collectors, here we are again! Tom and Ob welcome their buddy Nick down the cellar for a few drinks, some unboxing, and a look at some of of his favorite pieces.
BOILERPLA... ER, GENERAL INFO:
I'd like to thank each and every one of you who take the time to watch DtC, and am very grateful to everyone who takes even more time out of their day to comment. In a perfect world Tom or Ob would be able to engage with everyone in the comment section, but alas the world is far from perfect. Tom doesn't know how (and refuses to learn) and Ob is something of a Luddite. He's convinced his phone is spying on him.
FAQ & A:
Q: I have a burning question about something in the video! What should I do?!
A: An email sent directly to Tom is the best way to get your question answered, because while he most definitely reads each and every one of your comments, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section, and is not likely to in the foreseeable future. Or ever. Seriously, he still calls RUclips "the U-TOOBZ". Just email him, srsly.
Tom's personal email is: herrwittmann@gmail.com
You can also call him if you prefer (856-866-8733) between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM, EST. This may be slightly more difficult because he's forever running around away from his desk, but it's worth a shot.
Q: I have an amusing anecdote, scathing criticism, or heartfelt compliment that I deeply need to express and I require / demand / long for a personalized response! What should I do?
A: See "A" above.
Again, Tom's email is: herrwittmann@gmail.com

I would not miss these videos for nothing. This man is not just amongst the best of collectors a bit of a historian and a great story Teller. He is indeed a gentleman.
Of course, Mr. Wittmann is a gentleman and a class act in general. After all, he's cigar smoker.....just like me
Another great video. Great seeing you Tom. Greetings Obby, Debby, & John. I’m back in Germany missing you all. Greetings to Nick.
Nice Volker!
Welcome back!
We await your return, Johnny!
Those hand guns are incredible!!🥰 ♥♥♥Thanks Nick for showing them! another great video! and thanx for the History lesson.
What an amazing collection of hand guns! Another great show thank you everyone.
Awesome video Guys . Thank you
Thanks, great video👍 bring back Nick! Cheers from Sweden 🍺
The inscription on the holster of the last pistol is not French but German. And it’s also not the coat of arms of the owner but of his students club. The dedication says it was a gift from another member of his students club to the owner who obviously was not only an officer but also an academic.
The lugers are absolutely spectacular!
A German police barracks sign I had years ago was brought back to the US on a troop ship by an enlisted man in his pack. Once aboard the ship, he hid it behind a ship's boiler where steam from the boiler burned a hole along the border of the sign. He hid it after he boarded the ship because officers would shake the soldiers down and go through their things looking for ' contraband '. I've also heard stories of GIs tossing their war booty overboard, rather than letting it fall into the hands of officers. Some guys didn't want to risk asking for bring back papers because they didn't trust officers. I don't blame them.
I bet Tom with Legacy collectibles wanted that navy Lugar something fierce
Who wouldn't!
Another great video! Thank you for all the great history and knowledge you share.
Awesome guest, You gotta bring him back and we wanna see the haggling when he buys something. Thanks again Tom and Ob.
Great video!
love the lugers!
Excellent show Tom. Nice change up.
Best guest ever! Bring him back.
Ralph Shattuck gave the byf 41’s and 42’s back in the 60’s because of all the black parts and the black grips.
Tom Whiteman did his his estate when he passed away and he had over 1,000 Lugers in his collection.
Awesome show guys!
57:23 not Kreigsmarine! WW1 Kaiseliche Marine
I believe the navy marked luger is from the Weimar navy period. Nice collection.
great video/ your freind has some nice pistols for sure thanks for sharing
Really cool pistols. I would like to see the American and Japanese pistols he mentioned.
Tom sell him the Tiger!
learnt some history about pistols there, very interesting. bracket on the Spanish helmet holds the badge for parades. liner makes it an old one modello z. The black helmet could be civilian Czech or fire service or post war.
A nice Juulleuchter like them! In Der Freiwillige magazine (HIAG) was an ad about them. Love from Telly!
Best guns ive ever seen ,

I get the impression that you didn't really appreciate the guest and his very nice firearms.
Come on wittmann sell the dagger to him .
😂 never Happen,ITS all for the Son.
The lion buttons are WW1 Belgian Army.
Ive collected many different thins in 40 years still do .
Yep that’s me and my dad at sos 24. Pleasure meeting you Tom and gang. Thanks for the shout out
❤❤❤❤ Gruß Felix From Düsseldorf Germany.
The grey helmet is Spanish from te Civil War aera. The clip is for holding the crest.
When are you listing the blut and boden desk eagle?
I greatly enjoyed this one, Wittmann! You have some very interesting friends; I have liked them all. I collect guns, not edged weapons, so this one struck a chord. With German equipment the quality is always a joy to behold, no matter what the item. My father (I am 70) was an infantry Sgt. in the Philippines and brought or sent back numerous Japanese items and they are not in the same class, believe me!
👍👍👍
Thanks for bringing Nick on. A real educational clinic on German Lugers. You should bring him back to show and tell on more of his German handguns.
🤝🙌👍👍👍
🙋🏼♂️
Tom, you may want to discuss the new policy in the UK regarding the ban coming up May 7th, of all Royal postal delivery of all swords. Although this isn't exactly the same type of ban as in Australia it will impact militaria sword trading and shipping. It's quite disturbing the liberties these governments are taking away from their citizens. It must stop.
Hopefully you have alternate shipping methods, such as our Fed-Ex and UPS, which are private concerns not operated by the govt.
The world is going crazy ... dictatorship all around...
Did the Destoyer have a name?
Still classified!
The veteran had already passed before I acquired the grouping . His widow did not know.
really enjoyed this one boys
Nick was great really interesting
great guns
NICK = PASSION ❤
What a guy! Interested in the PPK. Family brings in a AKAH holster for the gun and gives it to him for free without him telling them what it’s really worth! Class act! No wonder the younger generation don’t want to get involved in the hobby when sharks like him are in the business!
He had to research it himself before he realized what it was. Plus it was almost 45 years ago when prices weren't as crazy. Nick is a really decent guy- I was impressed by his knowledge and enthusiasm.
@@MrTruckerf Rubbish. You could tell by his tone when he related the story that he knew he had got a bargain and a freebie! I’m a collector and have been for a long time, even an amateur would have recognised it was an AKAH, just as if it had been a Rolex!
Deal happened a long time ago, before I really knew a lot about holsters. Back then the holster, if available was always included with the price of the pistol.
The original holster wasn’t available by your own admission, the family looked, found this one and thought this one was a ‘remake!’
@@user-kr1dt9su3t What's wrong with a bargain? You're looking at this with today's internet knowledge. Give the guy a break, plus, he gave all of us a free tutorial on some obscure pistol facts.
🎉❤ yes second
Hallo what ist the meaning in Minute 9 an 10 Seconds too much Hair in my ??. thank you Gruß Felix From Düsseldorf Germany
@@felixortmann5174 Tom was making a joke because he is bald and the young guy in the picture has a full head of hair. I don't know if German men become distressed when they become bald but American men are very agitated when they lose their hair. Hope that helps
@@darrinrentruc6614 thank you.an have a nice Day.
The weaponry is a nice extra to your normal content.
Keep going and enlightening us. History needs to be told.
