My first phil blogger was Philly because I am from Philly. He did videos on Clark and other places. Yes walking down Walking Street can be boring if you don't go inside or talk to people. But on the other hand you should not make fun of his wife and how she looks. I found that uncool.

I didn’t even watch it but seen a few of Brian’s videos and don’t see the reason for hate. C’mon man just do you and leave others alone!
Problem is many of these sexpat vloggers are extroverts who like to talk -- except they move to a 3rd world economy with culture and lifestyle, languages and local personalities that they don't connect with very well. The only people they can really befriend and talk to are other sexpat vloggers. They are lonely even if they have a lovely young Filipina partner. The "friendships" get stale and then worse, and they get in each other's way. And yeah, its mostly people who had problems coping with the places they came from. They couldn't fix themselves so they run away to the other side of the world and bring their problems with them. Actually, it's an old story of human disfunction.

He is 100% focused on making money on YT. He even shuts down his recording when he passes a bar where a few notes of copywrite protected music is playing and not really audible or recognizable to viewers. He's petrified the video will be demonetized which is the only consequence he could face. If your in it just for fun or to keep busy you don't care if your video is demonetized. It's also true as you suggest that if he wasn't constantly making videos, he wouldn't know what to do with himself.

Brian did videos on practically all the places you mentioned and more like the Hospital at Clark, several scuba diving trips, lots of trips through the downtown area of Angeles and San Nicolas wet market. He even made several visits to the town of Magalang and visited the Abacan River homeless encampment. Don’t know what you’re talking about Ace.

How many times he has gone to other parts of Angele City him and his wife going diving or up to La Union Driving down to Manila his trips to Subic. I suspect Philly left AC due to financial reasons. I read a few months ago in the NYT that youtubers aren't making the money as before because YT cut their advertising rates which equate to less revenue for their content creators. Philly is supporting quite a few people and like Overstay Rd, he just couldn't make it anymore in the city with rising inflationary costs. Actually, I feel sorry for Philly because he hasn't looked healthy lately and being in the Philippine bush is no place to be having health issues. Good luck to Philly and Marcos. Yeah, when someone leads with” it’s not about me”, it’s exactly about ‘me’. Subjectively and judgementally knocking someone down to make yourself look better is narcissistic at best. Don’t judge unless you expect to be judged - and there’s plenty of material on this channel for that.

The reason I think this is a miss is you don't explore what Brian has done right. There's reasons he had success and I don't have insight into any of this from watching. A key of your philosophy is to be informative above all else and this one fails for that reason.

His income generated from YT will also take a big hit even if his subscribers remain, but few will actually view daily life living in a dilapidated shack out in some bug and tick infested jungle. I just scanned his latest video in the province, and it seems like it's going to be a really nice house they are building it's 2 story they still have allot of work to do inside. Who knows when his furniture will show up on that truck it came by ferry. :)

Philly will find out the views to his channel will decrease significantly. The takes with the instant family were boring. His income generated from YT will also take a big hit even if his subscribers remain, but few will actually view daily life living in a dilapidated shack out in some bug and tick infested jungle. Hope he has some savings, he'll need it.
I just scanned his latest video in the province, and it seems like it's going to be a really nice house they are building it's 2 story they still have allot of work to do inside. Who knows when his furniture will show up on that truck it came by ferry. :)
