Matt Bragg fucking loves playing The Floor is Lava. Can't get enough of it. He's constantly creeping around the office, hopping on couches and shimmying across shelves. Since nobody else in the office was willing to play along, Matt went into Minecraft and made sure they had to. Now all of Achievement City is filled with lava. Nowhere is safe. Everything is burning. And Matt - Matt is very very happy.

This was a pretty good idea Matt. Too bad you can't turn fire on without destroying everything, it would have been awesome if their walkways could catch on fire.
I mean... they weren't going to save that world anyway... They could have turned it on
Qa'Rajh Creations Yea but it would have burned up all the let's plays where he hid the banners and the banners themselves, the trees, and would have probably crashed the game.
A periodic fire spreading would have been an interesting addition. Every 10 minutes a 1 minute burn - a little extra tension.

43:33 if the server was on the entire time, then the pistons went about 630 million times. that's if 4 pistons per second go, like I counted... but I'm not sure if I'm able to count that... it's about 160 million per piston per second
so, I went further, if we guess that each episode was 45 minutes long. or 2700 seconds long, and we say it's been running for 244 episodes, which it obviously wasn't for out of Achievement city epsidoses, thats 658800. Multiply that by 6, not 4, as there are actually 6 pistons. those pistons have gone 3952800 time give or take.
The episodes outside of Achievement City probably were more than counterbalanced by the time spent building shit and getting ready offscreen.
Do the pistons move when there's nobody near them?
Doubtful. Chances are they'd de-spawn until needed. Drawing distance is a thing for a reason.

Dan Kester Depends who you get them from. Some places have really shitty oatmeal cookies that are way too soggy and gross. Good oatmeal raisin cookies are more rare than good chocolate chip cookies, which are hard to fuck up.

I know this is morbid, but what do you think it would it be like if you straight up cannonballed into a lake of lava? I figure there'd be at least one second of agony, right? Or would your body overload from the pain and then burn up before you could really feel anything?
In real life? Lava is pretty dense, so you'd break whatever hits the lava, then then you'd explode as parts of you evaporate, and the gasses are forced out, and whatever remains of that would catch on fire and burn away, but you'd be dead by then. As for do I think It would hurt? Not for a second, you wouldn't live that long, but for a brief instant, you'd probably be in the most pain anyone could ever experience.

I haven't watched a Minecraft Lets Play since probably when it was still in its 60s and am so surprised they still have they're same houses!
I'm really impressed with this. It's simple and yet amazing. A tedious job covering the land in lava, but my god does it really transform the way you see and move around. Kudos to Matt for pulling it off.

You don't even need worldedit. You can just use the fill command and replace all grass blocks.
