    Those glass sconces are meant to change a taper candle holder into a votive candle holder, so the way you want to use them is what they were made for. I love them, have them in different colors to change the look. They came with rubber rings for the bottom, yours are missing so yes you can use a rubber band or just set them in. You can use them for sconce candle holders and turn upside down for a cloche. I tie a ribbon on the bottom when using for a cloche or put greenery or dried flowers as well. You found awesome stuff, thanks for sharing ❤

    Hi Mikaila, those candle holders you want to add to candle sticks-they’re Home Interiors from the early 80’s: my mom had bunches of it. I love the idea of adding them to a candle stick. Also if they are clear, Penny turns them upside down to make a mini cloche ❤ that green planter your sister gifted you-wow! Gorgeous 🥰 love love love all the silver ! Omg that Tea Set is everything ❤❤❤ I’m so glad you love your valentines! Help kick off your valentines decorating🥰🥰🥰

    I think the item you thought was a soup terrene is possibly an ice bucket. Usually, terrenes have a slot in the lid for the ladle handle. Yes, Dusty gave you a flower frog, and the candies you mentioned are called conversation hearts. I love the child's tea set.

      Thank you for telling me! I wasn’t sure what it was, my best guess was a soup tureen 🥰. I’m glad I got the flower frog right, I couldn’t remember what those hearts were called, thank you! I love the tea set to, it’s so adorable 🥰

    Hi Mikaila, how amazing to get an "instant" vintage silver collection with so many beautiful pieces and for such a great price. Looking forward to seeing how you style them. The red table runner is stunning. And the wooden Valentine ❤❤ornaments would make an adorable banner.

    Wow, Mikaila, you found so many good items! Our styles are so alike 😊. I love all the silver you found and the vintage cards are adorable. That lamp fir 6.00 was such a good deal. Our salvation army is so pricey now I don't go often. Enjoy your week look forward to your next post.

      Thank you! It is so fun when you find someone who likes the same things as you do 🥰. I thought that was such a great price for the lamp to! My Salvation Army is hit or miss, sometimes it’s cheap and other times stuff is high so I never know when I go in there if it will be worth it or not 🤷🏻‍♀️. Enjoy your week as well!!

      Did you just say Ivy is the easiest plant to keep alive?! 😂 okay, tell me your secret because I swear I can't keep that plant alive to save my life. Lol

      @dearmikaila  10 дней назад

      Thank you! It was one of my fav buys as well! Ivy is one is one of the few plants I can keep alive 😂. You can literally keep them in water only and they love to have a high up space with non-direct light and they just stay alive without even doing anything 😂.

    You found a good deal on all of the silver dishes. Super cool. It makes me wonder how old they are! I would guess at least 100 years old. I’m so happy you are enjoying the gifts I found for you! I love decorating for holidays as well. Your red and pink accents are so cute.

    Hello my sweet friend! Hope you had a great weekend!😊 Oh Girl.. you know i absolutely love anything Victorian! I had just started picking up some Victorian figurines right before we moved, so i don't have a lot, but love the ones i do have & plan to find more! That one is super pretty!❤ The shams are gorgeous! Oh I love the pink planter too, also a Victorian style! I would google lens it and the figurine! The glad pieces are votives from wall sconces. But if you've see true DIY Christmas bells, those would be perfect! I love that candle stick to, & that's another great idea! I think i would do some rub & buff, and possibly some antiquing wax to it tho. The glass candle holders are really pretty to make a tiered tray with! Use whatever plate & salad plate or saucer, glue the plate to one then glue the smaller dish to the other then glue them together! You can use matching or mix matched dishes, solid white or clear glass. Personally I like 2 beautiful mix matched ones! My fav brass candle holders are the chamber style, love the matching set. They're called chamber candlesticks or holders because back before electricity, when the bedrooms were called the chambers, they would cry lot candles on these type holders to their rooms.. therefore they were called chamber candlesticks or holders!😊 When we lived in TN, we lived way out & at a pretty high altitude, plus our home was up on a hill. Our power lines went acoss the road down thru a little valley & back up over an open field over a hill. The little valley was all trees & I we had strong winds, which was often with any storm being up high, rain or snow.. anything that made the trees heavy, they'd lay on the lines & we'd lose power. Candles, battery candles, vases of fairy lights.. anything we could find for light, we lit up!😄 Oh I love the copper planter too! I would def use a faux plant in that piece. There's no drainage holes & its too shallow, a live plant, unless its a succulent, wouldn't do to good i don't think. The green planter is really pretty.💚 The raised piece in the center of the tray originally had another piece that went there for sauces & things like that. A lot of, even fancy restaurants would use these for oysters on the half shell & have the melted butter or cocktail sauce in the center bowl... for instance. I have the same small tray with the tall side & i also have it in a larger size. That is A sugar dish. Mmm the spoon is interesting, I'd have to google lens that one 🤷‍♀️ I'm pretty sure those shakers are old, and I'm pretty sure you're right about that being a gravy boat. The tea pots are more rounded & the coffee pots more taller. I think that's a coffee pot. Girl I would never get rid of the patina/tarnish on anything! That's the best part!😉 The pot with glass inside may be a ice/wine bucket or to hold cold dishes.. another look up! I would def google lens every piece.. find out for sure what those are that you're not sure of & find out the age! You had A great silver haul.. I'm looking for a set of shakers, i think that's one of the only pieces i don't have & would love to find. When we had the recovery home, one of the jobs they did was house clean outs & everything that was any good always went to our thrift store. They did one & the lady that lived there, which had passed, had a huge silver collection..2 large black trash bags & some in a box!🤯 Of course i went thru & traded some of my pieces with those that had actual matching sets with a coffee pot, tea pot, creamer, sugar, trays, butter dish, lots of utensils & serving ware.. and some other pieces. But no shakers! Most were sterling, some were overlay. All we beautiful! But I love ask my pieces, some of the trays are huge & so heavy! I don't really need any more except the shakers.. unless its super special!😉 Ohh girl you know we love our Dusti! That woman had A heart of pure gold!!❤ Yes girl, that's a flower frog! I want a metal spikey one! I want to find one of the glad ones too. They're usually easier to find, haven't seen any in awhile tho. Yess.. the conversation candy hearts! They do look like them!!😁 The postcards & valentines are so cool! Girl I love the tea set! Its gorgeous!❤ My husband had an aunt to pass a few wks before Christmas, his moms sister. When we were in NC we took his mom to get a hutch & sewing machine fiction her house. Her kids were emptying the house, seeing everything g the house too. They told me to get whatever I wanted! I found some old tins & one was full of really run tea set pieces from 3 different sets & one had a Victorian couple!😁 They're really small pieces & so precious! Love the red lace runner!❤ The table looks really pretty! Oh I enjoyed hanging out & seeing all your amazing finds! Thanks for sharing! Hope you find out a about your pieces too! I pray you have a blessed week! Love & hugs!🙏🏻❤🤗
