Even if you try, the fans will keep yelling "WE WANT CODY!" or "BULLS**T!" or "A**HOLE!" or "F**K YOU!" or "DELETE!" or "PLEASE RETIRE!" from the top of their lungs non-stop, alternating between each chant. You even try to speak to them with a live mic, they'll just silence you with "SHUT THE F**K UP!" until you leave for good or are fired. And if you even THINK of speaking a single phrase, they'll just interrupt you with "WHAT?" until you leave and decide to call it quits. And when Cody returns, he reclaims his title of "face of WWE" and will be greeted with chants of "WELCOME BACK!" or "YOU DESERVE IT!" or "LET'S GO, CODY!" or "THANK YOU, CODY!" or "YES!" And when he gives you a beatdown of epic proportions...that's when the fans can go home happy with "THANK YOU, CODY!" Even if I do enter a wrestling ring and get booed, I'd use this opportunity to mock the fans by calling them "an ignorant bunch of no-hopers". And even then, they would STILL watch me perform to see someone beat me up, and people will LOVE me for it and for my ability to generate *_THE PROPER KIND OF HEAT._* See the difference? If you were to perform in a wrestling ring, you would be "channel-changing television", whereas if I were to perform in the same ring, I would be "MUST-WATCH television". Yes, I said "must watch" because they paid to see me perform and hope that at some point I get beaten.
Unfortunately, only very few changes have so far proven to be successful. Jade Cargill hasn't improved much, Andrade is languishing in an unimportant series of fights, and aside from Cody Rhodes, there's hardly anything worth mentioning. His title reign isn't great either, it's rather monotonous and bland.
