Indie music fans have a reputation for being extremely fickle and judgemental and by the looks of a lot of these comments, it's well-deserved. Fickle vitriol is over-rated. Also, don't let one guy from Pitchfork tell you whether a record is good or not. Decide for yourself.
Wayne is such a hero. He does what he wants regardless of what anyone thinks. His art is true expressionism.

Why does everything have to be over or under rated? Aren't a good majority of things rated fittingly?
thats the point! they have to pick one or the other. its black and white. so they give them questions that they probably feel uncertain or just completely apathetic about and then make them pick one or the other and explain why.
+dnon75 It's not so much that they're overrated, back in the day they had a string of good albums, its just that now they've sold their souls and make vapid albums for tweens who are edgy and smoke the pot! They're just garbage now.

i think hes on drugs. He seems kind of ate up. I like him well enough but he needs to drop the bullshitter, rockstar, glam-grampa thing.....Just my opinion.

He's said multiple times that he doesn't like drugs. Also, from what I've seen, he's one of the most easy going, down to earth frontmen in the alternative scene.
