Soft Bulletin is one of the best Albums of all time! One day it just clicked and then I realized how brilliant it is. I still listen to these songs frequently when I'm dealing with something hard or just thinking existential things. "Race for the Prize" couldn't be more applicable in 2020 with Corona...
I believe that every human born should be allotted one free 'Golden' ticket to see the Flaming Lips at some point in their life, and that would make the world a better place. A Flips gig is a truly unique experience, that combines an ecstatic religious gathering, a performance art happening and a five year old's birthday party - in the best way possible.
Waitin' For Superman.Yes it is heavy. The true genius is the song and music itself can be played and appreciated in a single Key , simply.Such emotional complexity inside of a simple structure. That's the genius.
@@AliceYobby Late reply but I’m sure he’s referring to the fact that The Soft Bulletin came out in 1999 lol. Very different cultural landscape than 1992. I figured it was just a typo lol, which happens to the best of us. Genuinely surprised it wasn’t caught though.
The Soft Bulletin came out in 1999, Yahoo, nice proofreading job.
The Soft Bulletin is one of the greatest all around indie/alt rock albums ever made. Flaming Lips may be the most underrated band of a generation.

*1999. awesome videuh
To all of you that have been to a FL concert, you know how much balloons and confetti bring out the feels. It really is magic.
Just point the camera at Wayne and let him talk = can't go wrong. Love the man, long live the Flips!

I've seen them live eight times, nothing religious in any show. Grow up.
Epic in his approach to his own vision. A true advocate for all artists everywhere…🔥👊🏼
Sorry and Joy! They are the same and the lips celebrate this in every note. Pure magic.
He is such an inspiration. They've almost disintegrated so many times. He used to be a fry cook at LJS?
He's quite possibly my favorite artist ever.
I was late to the FL party but, yeah, he's great. He's got Beatle integrity.
George Hancock Jr. Steve drozd tho
I think of The Gash and I have to hold back the tears.. You guys.... You guys!
My fave lips song
Its such an amazing record!!!

Soft Bulletin was in 1999 not 92 lol
Wayne looks exactly how I imagine when I listen to his music. I imagined a guy with a messy hair sing these songs and I am right. lol
I bought this CD in Spain. Spiderbite is not on it a Buggin is the last track.
Spider bite my arse lol.
Yeah, it came out in 1999, not '92. Nice interview though
He looks like he should be in a Tim Burton movie.
1992?! RESEARCH!!! (or comment bait? lol)
1992. Haha. There goes whatever music credibility yahoo had. What a joke.
@@carvinblack ?????
What?

Man, he talks so much like John Lennon. My mind auto-corrects his voice with a Scouse accent.
you talk a lotta sensible nonsense, wayne-o.
Funnily enough, it was their last good album.
What about Yoshimi? It obviously wasn't as good as Soft Bulletin but it was still good
He looks so evil today.
Evil? I really don't see how. To me, he looks like an eccentric Geography teacher or circus ringmaster, which I find pretty cool. :)
yes you did the thing you wanted to do. Well thats nice but could you please retire, please, please. please.
could you retire from commenting?
I can't believe him still playing music effects you this much, you should focus on yourself man
