  • Talon recently launched the Tamarack Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Project located in Tamarack, Minnesota, with the goal of providing a domestic source of nickel to be used in the electric vehicle industry. Some are concerned about the possible impact.

    They are actually going to make a giant loop tunnel where a train with many blades and get all the rock dirt and sand and then when they finish they will mix all the rock dirt and sand with concrete and fill the hole so there will not be mines collapsing

      i was always an ev enthusiast. but now that its going to threaten and destroy mille lacs lake area. im less excited.

    We need a domestic supply of nickel long term. This needs to happen.

    I think Todd meant to say "We're going to turn 100 acres into an environmental disaster and then file for bankruptcy so we won't have to pay any reparations". That's more like it!

    The profits will all leave the area. A few temporary jobs isn't worth it.

    Yes, mining companies are notoriously irresponsible. So how about they pay a significant % into a restoration fund as they go? Good thing it's a blue state in this regard.

      the extraction of materials for electric vehicles will destroy the water filtration system for mille lacs lake water shed. itll be bad for the state.
