Rogue One, Terminator, Chappy, Bladerunner are the vibes I got. I totally agree it'll be a "movie event", and coming out 2 days after my birthday... PERFECTION!
I got Star Wars Visions: The Duel vibes for a little bit as well as Rogue One. I will definitely be watching it in the theaters. Remember kids, Skynet will become self-aware and kill us off....enjoy life!!! :)
I will say, this trailer may have punched up this movie as my most anticipated film of the year. I haven’t been overly excited about many of this year’s offerings - which isn’t to say I’m not looking forward to them, just that most of the trailers I’ve seen for other things I want to see are kind of within my expectations, but this has come out of left field to me and I like it.
This looks fantastic! I can't wait for this, gonna be a good year for Sci Fi I think! I will confess I bristled just a bit at yet another "lone wolf and cub" story, but damn the world and designs look so good I also kind of don't care.
This honestly comes off like he feels he needed a Rogue One do-over since it's well known that he fumbled that movie and got kindly replaced by Tony Gilroy, because this looks so much like Rogue One, just slightly different to avoid the copyright. I mean just look at the poster. Even the plot sounds a bit similar. I didn't like Godzilla, didn't like Rogue One, I don't think this man can direct. Looks gorgeous though, as always with Greig Fraser.
Killing the CREATION for letting you down ? Haven' our modern society killed its CREATOR ?We did it first ... our creation has just learned....We LIKE to play GOD? It Seams this movie will take us to this breaking point where we will have to choose keep playing or Being the CREATOR! HE DIED FOR US! Are we ready to do the same?
They give, what seems EVERYTHING way.. So annoying. We created AI, it took over, it bombed us, military is sent in to destroy it, then find out who is behind the AI, SURPRISE! (WTF) Ordered to take em out. See AI has their own society. But lone soldier now defends who they're supposed to kill........ Now could there be more to it? Of course. And I hope there is. But trailers, even teaser trailers have been giving away basically the entire story, no matter the movie for years now and only getting worse. The show the initial event, how the key players are involved, the twists and parts of the final act
Can’t wait! Love that Gareth Edwards and Greig Fraser are reuniting to film a movie together!

It LOOKS pretty, and I love John David Washington, but... admit it, this is just Terminator meets every "protect the child" movie ever.
