140 a minimalistic platformer with abstract colorful graphics. Electronic music provides an atmospheric experience when playing the title.
Watch as negative seven goes through all level in record time.
I never thought I would see a tas of this game, for those who don't know, this game was created by the level designer of LIMBO and INSIDE
I always felt sad there wasn't a tas of the gamr
Strange, I can see the common influence.
wait? he made this? damn i thought this was just some random game
15:19 the best part, i got moral satisfaction from it
damn this games OST really is chill! i never heard of this game before
I bet I'd be REALLY fun (and challenging) explaining this game's premise to a friend :P
Give it a try, because I have absolutely no idea what the hell
I enjoyed this TAS a lot more than I enjoyed the game; I didn't find every platforming element being on cycles very fun lol. it's reassuring to see even TAS forced to wait around on everything. but the music and the visuals are really good! thanks negative seven for the cool tas
I mean if someone wanted a rhythm platformer they'd get this
from author notes:
> The run's starting system time was changed by trial and error until good wiggles were had.
thank you dedicated tas runner negative seven 🙏
@@duothehybrid nah I disagree completely! I did want a rhythm platformer when I played it, and I was disappointed; this is a game about waiting for cycles! if this is part-rhythm game, then those beat block levels of Super Mario Galaxy are Guitar Hero
a proper rhythm platformer is Mad Rat Dead, or Harmoknight! probably mad rat dead between the two
@@lamptrent it's part of the game dude. i can feel the rhythm when the platform moves or when it's shooting in the boss area!
@@bjrntnnesen9207 I agree, you do feel the rhythm in this game. I think it's pretty effective in making you feel the rhythm.
I want more than to just feel the rhythm in a game like this; generally rhythm games involve the player further with the rhythm. to me, this is a game where everything happens to be synced to a rhythm, and the player is uninvolved with it. in even a simple game like Rhythm Heaven, being involved with the rhythm is the premise; you're tested on your timing on each beat, you're playing musically. 140 doesn't care about that; you're tested on your ability to dodge obstacles, and a sense of the beat isn't relevant besides to understand the pattern of those obstacles.
I don't think it wanted to be a rhythm game under the definition I'm giving them, but it disappointed me all the same, and I hope that my comment's at least helpful to people who'd feel similarly
never knew i needed this until now
I'm definitely DLing the OST from this game.
Sickest tas ive seen in a min
Congrats Seven!
For best viewing experience (without bitrate destruction) 4K is recommended.
Shoutout to the homie -7! Also a great Vectronom runner!
Now watch it again, but dropping acid!
If they stalled .23 seconds, the time would've been 22:22.22
When the game is called 140 but you eat your entire operative system in 23 minutes
Alleeeez!
Oh, 140 is the name of a game. For a second I thought this was going to be another Linux TAS joke run...
Still fun to see though. Game looks really cool.
And now a list
of all the things
I hate about this game
Nothing.
This games music reminds me of both Cyber Sleuth, and Earthbound.
Let’s add in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Seriously, that game gets VERY atmospheric sometimes.
Basically you ruined level 4.... I didn't like that part.
