- Yet again I have been shown that Akuma in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike is simply too BROKEN. This Akuma right here gave me the hands and made me sweat! This Akuma reminds me of why I think he's so cheap in this game!!!

If I ever see Akuma in real life, my only question will be how the heck he keeps those flipflops on his feet while fighting. I think his most insane skill is that.
He's worn them so long, they've become part of his foot.

This Akuma was seriously good. HIs spacing, his timing, patience, reads... just extremely solid play all around.

I think Akuma as a character was always the broken version of Ryu and Ken, being faster and stronger with an wide range of abilities to use, they need to make him more balanced and that's why he always has a lower health than other fighters, but even handicapped, Akuma can be a pain in the ass like this one who make Justin sweat and smile for gave him a real challenge. PD: I love the duck sound when a fail comes, it gets me every time hahahaha

@@sparda_ akuma movement is better in question he's harder to play agains't but if you hit akuma it just ends bcuz of such a low health, i myself as an akuma player can pretty much give ken player a very good fight and even win, i'm not a professional player but i do play it and train myself and i have training to daigo parry and i'm getting better at reads with akuma
@@RBH69 that’s nice man, but do look statistically, most tier lists made by third strike pros, akuma is usually top 6-7, whereas ken is around the 3rd best, right behind chun and yun

BigDan420 got hit with that Wong Factor. There is something about Justin that is special. He has this unique ability that even when he's about to lose, it's almost like his defensive awareness increases so much that the opponent is the one who is on guard in the final round. Like no matter what they try to land their attacks and abilities on him, but it doesn't happen. Because he just defends and whittles you down like a piece of wood until you become nothing but tinder for the fire.

To the guy that said “make it impossible to take damage with parry”
Technically yes, it is possible to negate all damage and win perfects all the time with parrying - but that will only work against newer/rookie players.
Against more seasoned foes, they will catch on very quick onto what you’re doing and will adapt.
Apart from that, parrying requires a certain degree of anticipation - knowing what your opponent is about to do. Not everything can be parried high/mid and a lot of attacks must be parried low.
That’s why Justin said Nah it’s impossible

@TETTSUUO Grav3lPit is a community of players that mainly play 3rd strike, although we do have all the fighters. Most of the players here mainly play 3rd strike. If you're familiar with SUP3RCUTS, Grav3lPit is just SUP3RCUTS under new ownership. Joe Zaza passed it down to me to host because we had to have a Venue switch. Originally Dan was supposed to take the torch, but life happens. So my Cuz and I decided fuck it let's host out of our house with H2H's

I always play sa3 chun when fighting akuma online, it completely negates the divekick mix ups.

Someones gotta teach Justin what Guard Jumping is, I've seen he's had some confusion on a couple of his streams cause he thinks he's meatying his opponents on wakeup and they're still getting out of the corner (like the Akuma was here). Once you realize whats going on it's easier to stop your opponent from Guard Jumping in the corner. Some high-level players from the early days that didn't stick with 3S for the past decade don't know about this tech and so It can be abused if you aren't aware of what you're opponents doing.

Good games. Don't think Akuma is broken though; his health is so low that you can't afford to make any mistakes.
The problem is it's easy to play lame and zone people out with air fireballs and teleportations, and win by running out the clock.

in the III series akuma can use 3 supers with SA 2+3 but can use 4 supers with SA1

You have to super jump cancel, basically quickly press down and up (or up-right) once the final hit lands

It's annoying see Justin grab opponents even that the character are not grappler(I know that work as a strategy but this annoy because you don't expect and the time to evade are really short).
Gotta use what you have ig. I mean chun's fucking busted but it's a universal mechanic so...
@@possibly8180 Even that is a universal mechanic, It's not everyone gonna use in middle of battle like Justin using to attack, I use grab moves to counter or break blocks
Chun's super 2 is dumb broken.
Akuma in this game would be top tier if he had a tiny bit faster frames, or any kind of frame buff. He's known to be absurdly fast in previous ST games.
