    THE WAY OF KINGS IS EPIC EPIC EPIC!!!!! Don’t be intimidated by the size. You’ll fly through it, I promise. 😁 and The Cuckoo’s Calling is wonderful!
    And my pick for you would be A Monster Calls.

    • @CodiesBookCorner
      @CodiesBookCorner  6 лет назад

      I don’t know if I’m ready for the way of kings but who am I kidding it’ll probably be my favourite of the whole year! 😂 I really enjoyed the Cuckoo’s Calling! Ooh A monster calls! Good choice, thanks for your pick! 😊

    I vote for whatever is your shortest book because gurl that tbr is enormous 😂 I kinda wanna join you in reading the way of kings this month as I've been too intimidated to pick it up so far 🙈 no promises though haha

    • @CodiesBookCorner
      @CodiesBookCorner  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you so much for thinking of my sanity 😂 this tbr has me feeling real nervous, not gonna lie!! Tell me about it! I’ve been putting off reading The Way of Kings for at least 6 months because it’s so god damn intimidating! But it’s time! We can do it! 💪🏻

    Yes please! It’s light and funny and definitely seems like you need something light on your TBR this month! Love your wheel! Such a creative way to choose your books and it makes me love watching your TBR videos every month even more! Good luck!!

    I love these videos so much! I always enjoy watching TBR videos but this is such an imaginative way of approaching them, I find myself waiting for this video each month now! Also I would recommend 'Days Of Blood and Starlight' by Laini Taylor, but it is quite long and you already have a huge TBR for the month! Good Luck!

    The Essex serpent and Cloud Atlas are AMAZING books! Also I think your wheel isn't balanced right, which is why it keeps on going towards the Browns/red colours, and why it goes backwards - the green/blue side seems to be heavier.
    I vote for the graveyard book by Neil gaiman! Seems short and its middle grade (?) so should be an easy read with the amount of books on your tbr

    • @CodiesBookCorner
      @CodiesBookCorner  6 лет назад

      I am so excited to try both The Essex Serpent and Cloud Atlas, I’ve heard only good things so I’m happy I finally decided to give them a go! :)
      Omg tell me about it! The wheel was definitely unbalanced this month! I just hope it wasn’t too boring with it favouring the one side- hopefully me changing the prompts every spin helped with that?
      I’ll definitely be making some changes to make sure that this isn’t the case going forward :) Even if it means creating a new wheel to ensure the weight is evenly distributed. I noticed too late this month to take it down, change it and have the video up by the first of the month ya know? Haha :)
      Ooh The Graveyard Book! Good choice, it would be perfect for this time of year and Neil Gaiman is definitely one of my favourite authors! Also thanks for thinking of my sanity by picking a quicker read- I definitely appreciate it! :)

    I love this wheel idea!! Fun colorful and creative!! I have tried using a jar but I like how this is more open prompted still giving you choices. After listening to you I am adding Vox to my library wishlist. It sounds interesting! I recommend Caraval for Voter's Pick. One it is really good and you also pulled it out for other options. It obviously wants to be read. :)

    • @CodiesBookCorner
      @CodiesBookCorner  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you so much!! :) I tried using a jar too but it didn’t work for me so I enjoy having a choice! Apologies it’s taken me so long to reply! I’ve actually just finished Vox and it was definitely interesting although it’s not the best dystopian I’ve ever read. Some parts I felt let it down but it definitely had me angry at the injustice throughout haha :) aaah Caraval! Ok yours was the last vote I tallied (as it had been a week) and I’m happy to say that Caraval won! I’m already 200 pages in and I’m LOVING it so far!! :)

I hope you got my message on GR- I managed to fit both Vox and Wuthering Heights into the tbr- yay! :) let me know if either of these work for you and we can start buddy reading it whenever you fancy! If neither of them work though we can totally read something else! Aah Blood Red Road- good choice! :)

    Slade House was really good. It's a series of vignette style stories that are inter-related to each other; plus a complex magic system. It was a quick but interesting read that I did for October. Nice and spooky. This was a fun video! I really like the wheel of tbr - so clever!

    Wow, reading the Way of Kings in one month is certainly ambitious!! I hope you like it, I've enjoyed other Sanderson books but I couldn't get into this one and DNFd it after most of part one (which was like, 500+ pages so I don't feel bad) but I hope you have more luck with it than I did. Also, for viewer picks, I say Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit, because it's smallish and I keep hearing awesome things.

    Ok this is kind of funny, but I fell asleep reading and watching your playlist of the Wheel of tbr, and That sound that plays when the wheel is spun was re-occuring in the dream that I had. Everytime it played in the video and thus on my laptop, it also played in my dream; in the dream I kept telling my partner if he can help me shut it off so we can have a conversation but nothing worked (because the video in real life kept playing). xD

      @@CodiesBookCorner It took me a while (two months) to read but as soon as I was finished I watched the mini-series. While it was a long read, it didn't feel like the author was padding the story. I thought it was well written and well researched. I have been putting off long books lately because I just have so many unread books to read.
