I can imagine Ron saying "London can only do one thing right. Pubs. And that's because it's the only way to drown their sorrow about thier government"
That is indeed why we have, nay, NEED our pubs.

This is indeed why we have pubs
THAT IS A BAR
Ironic, cause Ron is rather English: dour, succinct, logical, no emotion shown... I mean he bit the butcher above the pub, but we'll forgive him for that cause he still likes both
If i remember correctly the reason why they did episodes in london was that chris pratt was shooting guardians of the galaxy at the same time and he didnt want to quit parks and recreations also the episodes had peter serafinowicz who also had a cameo in guardians
they definitely made a right choice 😂
I wouldn't say a cameo
I love that Chris didn't quit the show after he became big. Most actors who start on a TV show and make their big break will go "Sayonara suckers, I'm a big shot now, I don't need this crappy show! Whoo!"
Yeah that’s what happened
That clock line gets me every time.
“Look. A clock. We don’t have that in America.”
“You call that a tower? Try the Sears Tower friend.”
I’d love to hear a Ron Swanson montage of him just roasting every iconic landmark.🤣
*SEARS Tower. Built by the Sears company to house their employees
Also, it's been the Willis Tower since 2010ish. Everyone still calls it the Sears tower though..
It's interesting how the guy who despises Illinois uses a Chicago landmark as his point of comparison.
@@reginabillotti When you’re as patriotic as Ron Swanson is and you’re in Europe, Chicago may as well be paradise
I wonder how he feels about the Statue of Liberty. Made by the French.
How did Ron survive in London if he refused to use a different currency? He didn't have credit cards because he didn't have bank accounts, all his money is either cash or gold.
Leslie sponsored him
Probably used solid gold
Maybe some kind of a mental problem.
It wouldn’t work in Europe, but plenty of places in Canada prefer our money because the value is slightly higher so they are making a profit-at least when I visited.
@@Amaranthyne yup , same reason London doesn't accept it. Because currency exchange is amazing for the one that has lower value). Though being honest depends where in Canada too. Most tourist places do. Most non tourist places , barely
That bench they're sitting on at 1:33 is right next to one my favourite monuments here in London - the bust of Violette Szabo, a hard-as-nails WWII spy and Nazi killer who was captured, tortured and executed by the Germans, and was posthumously awarded the George Cross.
The bust is a monument to the Special Operations Executive (SOE), the top secret British espionage, sabotage and reconnaissance special ops group of which she was a member. I'm sure Ron would approve.
(Incidentally the nearest pub is a five minute walk away, and I'm not aware of any butchers shops in the immediate vicinity 😂)
@@AlastairjCarruthers Can confirm there aren't any butcher shops, but I'm reasonably sure there'd be a pub, or at least some form of bar within a stones throw of that spot

The fact that Ron would ever endorse paper money is the most unrealistic thing in this video

I thought Ron would have loved british history seeing as its thousands of years ago, seeped in tradition, war and conquering/invasion.
His disdain for Europe trumps all
All of that is violence and government oppression, he'd hate those bits. I'd have thought he would like it because that's where his ideology comes from. John Locke, Adam Smith... Even the right to bear arms comes from Britain originally

- What country was the postcard guy from?
- What continent does Ron think he's on?
- What is a "butcher shop"? I assume it's a shop that sells butchers? Why are there so many of them in central London?
A butcher shop is a butchery, a place where they sell fresh meat parts - mostly pork, beef and mutton.
There are definitely no butcher’s in that area. Where they are is the little strip of park between the Thames and the MI5 building in Vauxhall (I used to work in the building next door to MI5).
