The perfect sketch for a "Wooow" moment from Owen. NBC robbed us of greatness.
Seth didn’t even do his Owen impression!
@@randomzen924 jus b to
theres a guy on snl named owen now?
@@OGRE_HATES_NERDS Owen Wilson hosted SNL a few weeks ago. So, sort of.
nbc is a corporate network. what did you expect bro?
This is the most endearing I've ever found Che. Especially the Othello joke.
Lmfao 😂 “very well played Che”🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He’s been more and more relaxed on talk shows recently. It’s like we’re all getting a taste of the SNL writer’s room
I actually am watching this while smoking a pipe.
@@crankydragon lmfao 😂 😆😆😆👍👍
@@crankydragon wish i hadn't quit!
I teach Hamlet, and I always mention Othello and how it relates. Well played, Michael Che.
A hamlet is of course an omelette with ham, while an othello is an omelette with black truffles.
As someone who's read hamlet but not othello what is the relation? Genuinely curious
Are you smoking a pipe? 😎
@@animal695 me too!
@@animal695 Both were written by Shakespeare and Othello is about a black dude…?
I love how this is just two old friends talking rather than an interview
seth does a great job at that while still keeping the focus on the guest
I was an English major in college and I don’t have a pipe but I was vaping and I DID think “nicely played Che” at that Othello joke 😂
"Idk if it was a non-starter but it didn't go anywhere" That's funny.
Every time Che is on Seth Meyers' he's added another layer to his look.
I'm the guy with the pipe. Very well played. Cracking fine jest.
Pip, fetch Ahab's pipe!
indubitably
Somehow can see Michael Che someday getting his own late night talk show.
If Jimmy & Seth are any indication he has a great shot. My fingers are crossed!
Many former writers from snl - also conan o'Brien is another one. I know norm McDonald had a show but not sure what platform.
hard to see him doing interviews though; doesn't seem like his thing. Might be easier when he isn't talking about himself though. I don't get the sense he likes talking about himself much.
Che is just gorgeous on every level.
i would love to see Seth describe this "mullet of outfits" to Jerry Seinfeld's face
Why? What do you got Seinfeld doing about it?
@@pfft...4921 i don't know. that's what i'd like to see. hence my post.
I don't think Jerry is a fight my own battles type of guy. Most seins or felds just pay a few shekels and the service is rendered.. He would just make Michael Richards do it..
@@pfft...4921 in reality, Seth would never make such disparaging words about Jerry's clothes to his face. my OP was more of a rhetorical statement. i thought thought it was funny how much he was tearing apart the look of one of the biggest comedians on the planet.
"Wet Coma." I can imagine some of the dialogue.
"Do you think he can hear us?"
OW: "Nnnnmmmmmoooooaahhhh"
"He's in there! He's trying to let us know!"
OW: *huge tent appears under hospital gown.*
well, either tent, or they could put a hose underneath and turn it on.
michael che is so funny on SNL
3:12 you can soooo hear Seth's dad's laugh. As soon as he laughed it reminded me of the last family holiday show on zoom after mom knocked her camera over.
"The mullet of outfits"
LMAO 🤣🤣🤣
I need Owen Wilson to do that sketch now.
i saw it at the dress rehearsal everyone in the cast and audience was so uncomfortable but it was so funny at the same time
That is how Garp was conceived in "The world according to Garp"
Merry Thanks New Year , SMR
Ha! That was dark, and a deeeep cut reference. 😁
Glenn Close mounting the patient while no one was around.
I just found another level of appreciation for Michael Che!
I love seeing Seth smile
Classic New York. Love it.
Yoo we definitely need to see that sketch or Seth making it in second chance theater,it sounds hilarious 😂😂😂
"Nicely played. I will show this to my class tomorrow."
Dammit! That sounds exactly like something I would have said. Minus the pipe (those are only for sacred ceremonies).
He is the greatest.
Seth is such a good interviewer
Love Che! ❤️
I love Michael Che! So funny! So cool 😎. So charming.
He is just naturally funny.
Love me some Michael Che🙂
I thought he was gonna say a whole turkey… but he said a turkey leg…. Lol
“It’s me and one black bear.” 😂😂😂
i love the idea mr michael che...love it! i am still laughing
I mean it’s a bong, but yeah I loved that joke.
His special was on point!
Che is actually a very smart guy. He's on the Conan O'Brien level of genius in the comedian world.
Just watched Blame the Devil @Michael Che and I thoroughly enjoyed it. a few gut wrenches from laughs and groans, as designed. Provoking, funny, intimate, best qualities of a stand-up routine IMO. Really hope you don't wait five years for the next. Hit us with the B side, I bet it is just as good!
I HAVE to see that wet coma sketch 😂😂😂 Either that or I’ll just make it myself lol
Theatre nerd here. I fully appreciated the Othello joke. 😊💙🖤✨
Jeepers how tall is Michael Ché? (We already know he's comically brilliant.)
1.87 m tall
So funny, because we always see him behind the desk, so we have no idea
He looks huge next to Jost. They're on completely different scales.
Thanks Seth Meyers, Michael Che Et Al🙂. ...And Michael Che...practically desolate?!😁
I will be watching the special because of this interview
“I don’t know if it’s a nonstarter but it didn’t go anywhere.” Is a brilliant line
nicely played, Che.
nicely played Che.
“Othello?”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Then Seth Described my Senior Year English Teacher to the T 😂😭😂😭😂😭
I did enjoy the Othello bit, but I have no pipe, nor sweater with elbow patches.
Hilarious 😂
I don't have a pipe but, given that it is in fact well played, I might consider showing it to my class tomorrow
Michael Che is really funny
_Colin Jost has left the chat_
Lol 😆
Lol one black bear
nicely played che
That damn Michael Che.
lol! I still need to watch that. The clips I’ve watched are funny!
guy with the pipe in the Hamlet says " Hop Hup Hup Hup - that Damn Micheal Che "
As someone who grew up in an upstate NY hamlet, I get it.
The current late night lineup is awesome, but, imagine how it would be if Seth and Che did it every once in awhile..... Chemistry!!!! 👏😂
Michael Che saying “Touché” is just...
🖖🏾😹 Wet coma?!?! I can’t
Don't know about a "wet coma", but a "spontaneous wet surgery" is definitely a thing if you hit the right nerves during lower back surgery.
Word? I’m about to jump off my roof.
Like in a certain order, like a cheat code?

@@velvetthunder1993 - the T9-L2 and S2-S3 spinal cord segments. Mechanically stimulate those segments and voila.
@@HH-mw4sq Does it work for women as well? And does the stimulation need to be surgical, or could it also be topical? Asking for a friend....
Perhaps the question should have been, "How is the neighborhood taking to you?"
I hope he doesn’t like jogging.
Lmao Che probably bought a place in the Adirondacks! I would have never thought that
Che and Redd are the best part of SNL.
They are deffo among the very best.
Love the casual dress. Wish the others would get rid of their suits, too. So outdated. Thx for the laughs and all you do to entertain us.
I’m smoking a j and loved the Othello Hamlet joke!
Che is so twisted!
Beautifully so 💞
Can we please have a 2nd chance theatre of that sketch?
He is so adorable
Cherminator, Keegan-Michael Che
I appreciate the Othello reference.
Watching the special right now. #che
Hey, at least he didn't move to a thorp! :D
It's weird seeing Che without Jost on Seth's show
Owen Wilson during wet coma: “ mmmm Wow”
John Coltrane came from Hamlet, North Carolina. Pretty sure.
Black hamlet should be a Shakespeare spin off
okay i’m in a shakespeare class rn… I appreciate the othello joke
Please please PLEASE!!!!! Put "Wet Coma" on Second Chance Theatre!
4:45
Che should be allowed to dress like this on Weekend Update.
its a bong now not a pipe but I enjoyed it
Must be laundry 🧺 day for Mike 😂😭
Not a pipe, a cannabis vape, but yes, Che, very well played.
The 1st mask I had no place to throw away I put on my tow hook been there near 2 years the mechanic that replaced my rack today pulled it off and 🗑 it 😂 it’s not on some turtle either 🤣👍✌️
Wow michael che just laughed at a joke that wasn’t his own😱😂 jk i love Michael
wow only 9 comments?
I would love to have seen Seth's impression of Owen Wilson having a wet coma!! Corrections????
Rachel Maddow does the jeans with business clothes, a couple of times the jeans showed when she moved in her chair. Che does that better. Or SNL gives Weekend Update a better set than MSNBC gives their anchors. Basically the same network, she should do her show from the Weekend Update set.
Wondering whether I should dive into the comments to see how many people say "OMG, why didn't they do the 'wet coma' sketch. It sounds HILARIOUS!" even though it definitely sounds like one of their infamous throaway sketches at the end of the show. Maybe one chuckle when you realize what's going on, then 2 more minutes of awkwardness before it ends. Everything they DON'T do is NOT a lost treasure!
Why does it feel like i only pick the beginning of an interview half the time?
They should really change the name of this show to ENL (Every Night Live)
I want to hear Seth's impression of Owen Wilson having a wet Coma.
Seinfeld wears jeans & blazer!
Talk about Darrell Brooks.
Awww, Che plays it so cool but he really is a nerd 🥰
I'm that person with the pipe.
Wet Coma for President 2028
I wonder if he actually moved "upstate" the lower hudson valley isn't technically upstate NY, but to everyone on LI and in NYC, anything north of that is considered upstate, but to someone who lives in the Hudson Valley, upstate is actually northern NY -- I'm sure Che moved somewhere in Hudson Valley, either Westchester or Rockland, likely Westchester, which isn't upstate
"Othello." This nerd is laughing.
Not a lot of prep. Lots of nervous laughing.
His first Netflix special was great. The new one was just a Dave Chapelle impression
