Gorgeous classic done and taught to perfection! Thank you for bringing back memories of my Mom when I was a child in the 1960’s. I loved her wearing her hair like this. It seemed so mystical and magical how that little tornado roll would be formed in the back. Thanks to your great teaching, I now know how it is done. You’re the best!
@@GetGlamFam Aww! 🥰 See, the french roll is the EVERYTHING style. It says, "Yes I'm fine, but I'm about business! I'm wholly put together right now, but one hair pin removed strategically, and I can get ratchet - quick!" Folks put on their Act Right when they see you with a french roll! 🤣🤣🤣 Had on for my 14th birthday - couldn't tell me NOTHING!
You sounded like the painter dude with the afro that passed away. I expected to hear you say "And we are gonna put a little tree right here" 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Both of you are great artist 💯
I followed well after watching twice; I did this on my MIL and she loved it. I can't believe it came out so perfect. I gave her some whispps, couldn't tell her nothing. Now she wants a date night with my FIL. Great video.
Oh yay, the French roll is back! I wore them like nobody's business in the mid 90's and always loved the elegance of this style! Thank you for the tutorial!
The french roll has always been my fav!!! I want to wear it again, but my own current hair situation doesn't easily allow it. Now, you've shown it is possible even for me. I appreciate the love and care you put into what you are obviously so passionate about. Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work!! BLESSINGS!!!!
Finally a tutorial that includes teasing! I went to a salon in Florida and no one knew what to do with my fine hair without extensions. Finally the manager had to take over and did an uneven teased out bun for a high end wedding. I have another wedding in November and I would like this French roll or a French twist done. I am so glad I found this!
Thank you. I was going to a hair salon just for this style. You made this easy. I cast your tutorials to my wide screen which makes it easier for me to accomplish. 💯👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💇🏽♀️
@@GetGlamFam Yes that would be awesome. Thanks so much for helping us out during Covid-19. Your tutorials have been keeping us Zoom ready for on-line meetings 😁❤

It’s been a while since I graduated Cosmetology School. 1983! I want to tell you that I appreciate you creating this video to re-teach me, if you will, how to do a lovely, true French Twist. You are a skilled stylist no doubt. Thank you for crating and sharing. Now, I want to do this on myself. My hair is just below bra strap and it is wonderful, but very THICK hair. I am going to try your tips and tricks and see if I can make my own hair look as good as you styled this mannequin.
Agreed! I got my license in 1996 and recently got back behind the chair after a 17 year stint in the fashion industry. I so appreciate your tutorial of the way I learned how to do it in beauty school. I tried to watch other videos on a modern version, but I love the classic way the best so thank you for the refresher! You’re fab! ❤️
Beautiful results!! Back in the 90s, special occasion hairstyles typically included 1/2 a can of foul smelling hair spray. Glad to see your method 👍 Thanks for sharing!! 🌞
A crimping iron works wonders if you don't want to stuff nor tease. The amount of volume and grip it gave me when I did a chignon like that was just mind blowing.
I am OBSESSED with french rolls! This looks amazing, and so helpful to know better how to place pins. With longer hair, the rolling becomes more difficult, especially doing it on myself. Usually end up with a bunch of hair at the top I have to sort of moosh and tuck in to hide. It never looks this good! :D
Beautiful French roll. Much closer to the French roll my mother used to wear back in the 60s. Now so many tutorials show you how to twist the hair up and then pin it. I much prefer this classic look.
I congratulate you on a lesson well done; not only is the finished style beautiful, your teaching skills are clear, explanatory as to why you do something and why we don’t want to do something else. You get an A++ from this subscriber! Many thanks!! PS: if setting a small flower piece in the seam of the twist, one would use Bobby pins or what?
I just want to say how happy I am to have discovered you!! I have 2 Granddaughters and their hair is a challenge to me! I decided to search for French branding on YT and you popped up...I feel like even a 55 year old Mawmaw like me can learn something new!!!❤❤❤
The PTSD that was triggered with those hair pins! My rolls were laid to death, but my scalp would be dying for real! Then you got to play that game, "Which of These Pins is Stabbing Me in the Head?" 🤣🤣🤣
I favorite French twist video. I really don't like the messy ones. This is perfect and even though my hair is a curly mess, my daughter, with her glossy Sable hair loves this hairstyle when she's nursing. What can I say, she's a queen.
Your are a man of great talent. I love the style and content of your instructions because you explain everything and why you are doing it that way, etc. Gosh, I wish you could come to my house and style my hair for me every once in a while ! God BLess and thank you so much for such excellent knowledge and instruction.
Where were you when I was trying to do this for the 4th of july? Lol. I was wearing a vintage pinafore dress, and wanted an up-do, and I struggled SO HARD. Lol. I ended up having the whole bag of bobby pins in mah head, and it looked terrible! Lol. I'm gonna give your version a go when I take out these faux locs
I wish more people would shown the proper use and placement of Bobby Pins. It sounds so simple but there has to be a method for the madness. This was pretty good but it would be nice to break it down even further.
You are SO HELPFUL AND INFORMATIONAL! Imma need you to make a tutorial on how to make a smooth, SNATCHED high pony because i never seem to get the hang of it!
Beautiful! I’ve watched a dozen tutorials on RUclips today and yours is the only real French twist! I have one question, is it possible to do this with my hair just below my shoulder? Thanks so much!

I have a question how do you create bangs on a open faced wig while using it's own hair with out using a bang extension? Someone said about to sew it closer together?? I dont wanna damage the wig but I love it
