It's a problem that most of us black people have, not only in Kenya but also allover the world. The Arabs, Turkish, India and even Eastern European teach their children about money. We must teach our children about money and how to work for it. Most important is how money works, how to use it and also how to save it. I would recommend a book call rich dad poor dad by Robert kiyosaki.
Wow story of my life. This is so true. I'm a chick living in the US and I've been in a relationship with a guy who grew up in Nai and our hustles are so different. Nilikula chumvi growing up sana and that has made me so ambitious and unstoppable coz I never want to live that life again and it's been frustrating watching my guy coast and not have the same hunger mpaka nimemuacha. I've always suspected your theory but it's good to hear it validated. On the other hand when we come to the US we feel the same pressure of coming back loaded which is how watu wa shags ufeel before they go back hehehe. Good talk 👏.
The bar talk is how dad's in non-google generation used to get solutions to many difficult obstacles in their lives. This solutions were custom made with culture and situation on the ground in mind.
Real Storry manze...If You dont have the hunger to be rich and prosper in life..you will never be rich..we got to have the right attitude and never give up.Kukua na doh yako ni tamu bana..Tutafteni hii pesa.
Its true, but again come to think of it. Awa maborn tao wazazi wao walilelewa ocha, came to Nairobi and made it. And now that mse anatoka ocha sai kusaka hustle nai, mtoto wake ndo atakua born tao. And the next generation will have this same conversation we're having now.
Tao ama hood kuna vices mingi kuliko watu wa ocha... hizi vices zinafanya born tao akuwe addict kwa izi vices na lifestyles zenye aligrow akiwatch kwa telly... hapa nikujihumble ka we ni born tao na ka umetoka ocha ukimake it usilook down on mse wa tao... Goodshow ..
Spot on! Shagsmondoz hapa. Ile mjengo nimepiga kasarani.. wacha tu. Unajenga hao from foundation to 6flr, kshs200 daily. Kuna dry spell pia. Unaenda wiki tatu haujawai pata kibarua, but no giving up. Unaamka ngware unaenda "seti" .. because no qualifications needed- apart from being available when needed. Kulala ni Getho 45-kimbo(progressive), keja ni kne room, haina kitanda, ni mattress ya 3 inch na stove ya kerosene. Thina ni umagwo... Writing from Finland
I talked about the same issue last week to some guys. It like you guys read my mind. This is real especially in Buru. Guys born in shags are running the Kenyan economy. Continue enlightening the boy child Jamoh and Cliff. Good job
This is real walai. I'm a 'brayo' by the way, a born-tao but I was brought up in a very humble back ground. There were times I did slide kidogo but I thank God for the far He has brought me. I'm currently out of the country and I do Love my job,,,,,earning some good cash btw. Jymo you've spoken to many, use your platform to mentor many youths out there,,,,y'all be blessed...much Love ❤🇶🇦🇰🇪💯

Waah! Hapa leo mumemulika ukweli mtupu....Personally I was born and grew up in Nairobi(eastlands).I can only say that around 60% of the friends I grew up and schooled with ni watu walichangamka in whatever they liked doing na sahii wako swafi kabisa the remaining 40% waliangushwa along the way sababu ya udingo, drugs etc. On the other hand,Enyewe watu wamekuja tao kusaka hujituma deadly.
Walai hadi me nimeborn iwa tao lakini ilibidi ni kachore mamorio hawatukupeleka na rada ya dooh mtachochana tu but ukiwa solo utatafuta dooh mbaya sana ✊✊ facts
Interesting discussion. I think the argument applies to campus graduates wengi wenye wanafeel hawawezi chapa jobs zingine na wako entitled to only having the best in life without working hard...Wasee wa colle na form four leavers sku izi wanahustle i Nairobi alafu wanaemploy graduates.
Hahahaaaa! I remember back in high school pale Meru Nairobi pple used to over-hype the city, as a born tao i never joined those crews juu nilijua niuongo mtupu, i really pitied the rural folks that joined them then later ended perishing in their reserves. Nairobi ikona wenyewe tafadhali and its a very small, quiet and elusive class of mbirrionaires, eg wale vijana wamekalia acres karen, southc/b, gigiri, garden estate/ruaraka, Muthaiga et al! Mimi kama mlelewa wa getho i never saw anything to brag about because @ home life was still tough.
Aki umeiweka vilivyo, tulipitia hyo high school ya kuitwa mafala, den vile tulimaliza tukajua tukiingia nairobi mambo itakuwa sawa, soo far soo good hzo dreams zimefanya tufanye mengi tuliwa tunaskia from maborn tao
Real talk. Good balancing by using estimate percentage figures to avoid stereotyping. Good entertainment and education at the same time. The theory collerates very well with that where in high school, children from shags tended to perform better than their counterparts from tao even though the one from tao had more resources such as books etc. Key work "Hunger" aka drive/ strong motivation to achieve.
This is very true I came to Nairobi in 2018 with only my bag na support kidogo ya wazazi niliassociate na few friends tukapiga hustle and today nazidi kusonga mbele
Noma sana and equally true to the core coupled with pride that continues to enslave many from doing odd jobs/starting small. As for the parents i hope they school kids on how to be creative and living as producers. We have been programmed for centuries to be seekers while the duck that lays the golden egg seems to have died long ago. We need more employers in the youth over certified, skilled and highly talented job seekers. Kazi safi majamaa.
Okay, you have a point. Buh the main problem is what we teach our children about money. We should teach them how to make money not to work for money#entreprenual spirit...As for I created multi-billion dollars companies in Africa after I change my subconscious mind....
Mapetho hehehe, ni chuo mhen. Lakini on the real, lazma watu wakue nahio hunger ya kumake it. Bila hio jeshi itabaki kuwatch teli ya mzae akienda kudoz magizani. Keep it real. Morale kwa hii show. Educate the masses, especially boychild.
True man, we used to call them miroo and looked down upon them, i now realise how wrong and foolish we were. I jamaa fulani who was barely literate we used to fill in forms for him, show him how to fill in handover sheets at work. Now jamaa is a landlord in Berkshire (England) while most of us mtaani guys are still renting flats from the likes of him and some Pakistanis.

This is true, but it also brings up the topic of opportunities on both parties
Definitely true. But pia wazazi huchangia
Wazazi born ocha won't let you lazy around in their homes.
True that. Kids born from successful parents tend to think the parents' achievement is their own.
I like!!! Nice advise. So comical but so much to learn from
