- Zeus presents Snoopy (un-emulated) for the C64, an odd little game from the golden era of C64 gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the software house and all programmers that were involved in making this game.
Year of release: 1984
Guide Snoopy across the many hazards without dying, that's about it really lol.
Funny but crap at the same time and can be excused for being basic as it's from 1984, there are 20 screens in total and for every loop yu pass the games exceeds in speed to the point it's insane and unplayable but thanks to an invincibility cheat I'm able to show all of the game to the point the game ends on a blank white screen.

A game long forgotten by me. I saw a cartoon drawing of Snoopy and this game came flooding back. Thank you for putting this on the web for us to view.

The frustration and anger we had every time we lost in these games.
They couldn't even get The Entertainer right.

Thanks for posting. I knew from playing this decades ago that it sped up after playing the first 20 levels. I didn't know until watching this how much it kept speeding up after completing 20 levels again. After a while it didn't sound like the entertainer. It was interesting to see the kill screen.
I wish I had a dime for every old c64 game that used an old ragtime tune. The Entertainer and Maple Leaf Rag were the most common ones. What a strange game. Certainly inspired by Smurf but it also seems to have been inspired by PCP.
Yeah there were quite a few old mostly forgotten games by individual programmers that used those type of tunes.
There doesn’t appear to be anything acknowledging United Feature Syndicate, Inc. as being the rights holders to Peanuts™, which suggests that this is an unofficial game that presumably the writers did not have permission to make.
Most likely but there were tons of old strange C64 games made by individuals which were made off the cuff.

And even though there was a licensed Snoopy game for the c64, this game is what turns up if you google snoopy c64.

Was playing this as little kid at school on the schools computer during lunchbreaks, I had to ask the teacher first ofc... 8 years.... I was always anxious to play it

I remember playing this as a kid. Looks very slow compared to modern games, it wasn't bad though as the difficulty is not too easy and not too hard IMHO. I remember after spending some time with it I played it for one iteration of levels (18) but knowing me, I'm quite sure I leaned back and did reset the machine as the levels restarted. =)
He has more lives than a cat and pulls a Michael Jackson in reverse turning black.

@@ZEUSDAZ hehe at that time for me as a child at least it was recognizable plus there were quite some spine-chilling tunes on the c64 back then I gotten used to it 😉

Sprites doubling wasnt necessary here, they could switch sprite banks at raster interrupts. But being so early c64 game, its forgivable.
Yep as said it's 1984 so it can be forgiven for any bad points.

Ah snoopy... I never persevered in the game. Played it probably 1/2 an hour, got bored and never touched it again. There are some games on the c64 that are too hard, repetitive, neurotic or induce a joystick breaking experience be it by the game itself or throwing the stick at the wall out of frustration with joy. lol. But I do remember C. Kramer one game by him I truly enjoyed as a six year old kid was "Topgrafie Europa" which teaches the locations, names of cities, towns, regions and rivers of Europe by flying around in a helicopter. Less frustrating game too.
As you see from the footage there is no way anyone could complete this without a cheat, the game get's far too insanely fast :-(

What all of those youngsters out there don't know: you could die from EVERYTHING in this game! Touching anything besides the fence, even with a pixel, would mean sudden death.

The soundtrack in this game is worse than Miami Vice. Not only does it get really boring after a while, but it seems to sound very off sync to the actual song it's trying to play.
