Why the hell do you answer these calls???Not talking about land lines.. On your mobile...they come through as PRIVATE...don't answer it...Domkop...they can leave a msg if its about something urgent...if they dont leave a msg..simply block the number....
They do not come through as private calls. They are mostly 087 numbers but a few firms now use 082 and 076 numbers as well. 087 numbers can't just be ignored, they are used by our hospital and investment firm as well as other valid callers. Anyway you block one spam number, they use another each time.
There needs to be a push to opt in. And it needs to be in writing or via an electronic form. Sneaking in a yes when someone taking out a contract over the phone is wrong.
I get annoyed when I get calls from services I never signed up for OR those companies you have already spoken to, and made it clear I am not interested. Why wud u call me again if I explicitly indicated I'm not interested 😡

I have dozens of blocked numbers on my phone. They just use different numbers and call again!
