  • US sharemarkets were mixed on Monday. The blue-chip Dow Jones index climbed as investors rotated out of AI-linked stocks and added some laggards to their portfolios, betting on US Federal Reserve interest rate cuts this year. Nvidia slid for a third session, down 6.7% as market watchers cited profit taking in the semiconductor bellwether after its meteoric rise last week to the world's most valuable company. Other chip stocks including US-listed shares of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, Broadcom, Marvell Technology and Qualcomm dropped between 3.5% and 5.7%, dragging the chip stocks index down 3%. Super Micro Computer dropped 8.7%. ResMed slid 11.5% following news that Eli Lilly's weight loss drug tirzepatide reduced the severity of the condition. Shares of energy stocks APA Corp, Baker Hughes and SLB all advanced around 4% as oil prices rose. Goldman Sachs jumped 2.7%, boosting the Dow Jones index
