Amen! Thank you for this testimony! This testimony is what I needed to see to be encouraged to keep standing for the restoration of my marriage. We have been divorced for 6 years now. God has promised to restore. We have 5 children-aged 22 down to 15 years old. He has been gone for 10 years. I refuse to remarry even when people say I should. Our relationship has gotten better-God has been working on me in the process. I KNOW God will make something brand new out of our story. Wow! As a woman born and raised in America I cannot relate to this in the natural realm at all. But I can clearly see the power of the Holy Spirit in their testimony.

I had to come back and watch this again! It gives me hope that God showed this man the importance of the marriage covenant with the wife of his youth. . . May the same happen with my husband -- he thinks he is married to someone else now. Our 7 children have been sad and they behave as though his departure and indifference towards them means they arent worth much . Now 12 years later and my husband is reaching out to his adult children. Praise the Lord - i pray the healing presence of God sets our children free from all the effects of their dads abandonment . But my husband needs deliverance and healing from his dads abuse and rejection happening to him as a child. . . I wonder how much longer it will take. The poor lady my spouse is with doesnt even know he is still married to me. I forgive them both with all my heart.

I don't know if I would be able to walk this woman's walk. I believe it is her gift and her purpose. But I wouldn't want a man who dis-honored myself and his marriage to gain a way in again. My heart would reject him and I would go through the agony and heal, and learn to focus on my kids. I would definitely pray for him, but not that he comes back to me. I feel most sorry for the kids involved. He was selfish and to make matters worse, his family failed to challenge him.

I’ve been personally blessed by this testimony. Not only is this a real story that we NEED to hear but it has boosted my faith. I am woman who has been standing for a few years now and I see similarities in the story, especially on her side. Her humility and true forgiveness was an indicator that it was the right time for her to be reconciled back with him. Oftentimes God wants to take time to heal the heart so that us women don’t make the man pay for it by bringing it back up constantly or acting out of spite - which we can definitely do if deeply hurt.

When im not busy i try to go online and do searches to see if there was a divorce docket or dissolution of marriage filed. I cant seem to find it but i keep trying.

Id love to get married however its frustrating and depressing after separating from someone who loves drugs more. I offered to support them them in getting help but they refuse to seek treatment. I relate to this. My heart is broken after loving a man for 3 years but his alcoholism got worse and now he can't stop drinking. I wish I could be with him but I can't handle loving the drink more than me. Horrible.

Lesson here is two wrongs don’t make a right especially in a covenant marriage. If the woman had remarried, would restoration be possible? I don’t think so. A wise woman builds her home. She honoured her part of the vow even when her husband remarried, and God came through for her against all odds. Just sad it took the man 14 years to come to his senses...😠
I have been studying the scriptures on divorce and remarriage to a new spouse while your covenant spouse is still living, I'm very concerned, from what Im learning remarriage while your spouse is still living is adultery..I'm still studying and learning tho, adultery can send a person to hell.

If you for any reason leave that marriage, that doesn't give you a license to remarry and that spouse is alive. You will be living in adultery. You will have to reconcile that marriage or stay single as long as your spouse is still living. Marriage is for one spouse as long as each other live. Why do you think they say til death do you part? The body of Christ is out of order and has not been following the ways of God, but the ways of the world and wicked teachings. Read Roman's 7:1-2. There are many others as well.

If you divorce your spouse for adultery, you can divorce, but you will have to remain single or reconcile the marriage. Look, I done heard every argument. Matt 5:32 and Matt 19:9 is referring to marriage according to the 2 step process of Jewish marriages and this was addressed to a Jewish audience because they understood the marriage process this way. The betrothal or formal engagement was broken due to fornication, so the man can get out of it and this was brought before the elders to investigate and the marriage was considered off. If the man married someone and say they discovered adultery, that thet would be stoned to death.Look at this example in Matt 1:18-20 how they handled such cases.The other scriptures were mainly addresed to Gentiles So. there are no exceptions when it comes to divorce and remarriage. Like I said, you can divorce for whatever reason, but you can't remarry. Please seek the Holy Spirt and fast and pray. Sometimes that is how you will get the correct understanding of God's Word, not man's interpretation.
I need prayer. I need direction from God I left my family in 2006 and married the man I had an affair with. We have been married for 11 years now. He is a good provider and a good man but we aren’t friends, he won’t seek God with me we have nothing in common honestly all we really had in common was lust. Yes it was a covenant marriage. Hence when he divorced her and married someone else for 15 years, God told him He did not recognize that 2nd marriage and commanded him to return to the wife of covenant he had left 15 years prior

They now have a 3 year old son. Last year she got saved and asked my son to take her back but he wouldn’t. She is still with the boyfriend/new husband but complains because he is unsaved. She is pursuing my son like crazy. What do you make of this? What is the right thing in God’s eye? Thank you.
